Good evening from Northside.

On our way home from Mad Tree Brewing, we stopped at Target to pick up a few things including a new TV…

This isn’t our new TV…

Our new TV is too big for our TV stand in our living room. So we had to put our new TV in our bedroom and our bedroom TV in our living room. Maybe we’ll switch them back. Maybe we won’t. The new TV is pretty nice. But the old TV is pretty nice too. So now we have two really nice TVs. And the old living room TV is now in our guest bedroom. We moved around a lot of TVs this evening.

It was very pretty outside this evening…

This rather sizable cross section of tree has mysteriously appeared atop the hill at the end of our street…

And good evening from Northside…

It was such a pretty evening that later we sat out on our front patio for a little bit and watched some of the Reds doubleheader…

We sat out on our front patio hoping the mosquitoes wouldn’t be as bad as in our back yard. But we still needed to load up on the bug spray even on our front porch. We had a fun Friday evening despite the mosquitoes. And the Reds split their doubleheader with the Pirates. 😀🌄❤️

Mad Tree Brewing.

We finally made it to the new Mad Tree Brewing. We had been to their little original location a few times. We’ve tried to check out Mad Tree’s new location a few times but we always found ourselves trying to go at really busy times and we never could find a place to park. But we found ourselves in the neighborhood this afternoon and decided to finally check it out for lunch…

I think Mad Tree had the best social distancing precautions of any place we’ve been so far during the pandemic. Masks were mandatory to enter and they took our temperatures at the host desk…

Mad Tree had “traffic” lanes set up for everyone to follow when they were up and moving around from their tables…

We sat in the main room. But there was also an entire really huge outdoor courtyard area with another bar…

And there was another huge room behind the Catch-a-Fire kitchen that wasn’t being used while we were there…

The place is just massive. And I forgot to take a photo of the actual brewing facilities that are located off the main room where we were seated. But on to more pressing topics like taking a look at the draft list…

And once you’ve decided, you just order straight for the bar…

We ordered Kickboard with a raspberry-lemonade street pop in it, and a Nitro Hermit Crabs & Cowrie Shells

And then it was on to ordering some Catch-a-Fire for lunch…

We ordered a 10″ Buffalo Soldier pizza…

BBQ wood-fried wings…

And Peppadew Pepper Fire Bites…

Everything was delicious. The pizza had a great flavor but the sauce wasn’t too spicy. The wings had a great, delicious char on them. And those Fire Bites were just out of this world. The little peppers were very sweet and finished with a really nice heat. They were amazing! After we were done eating, we had a Shade and a S’More Gratitude

And exit through the gift shop please…

Mad Tree has an incredible space with terrific beers and great food. I can’t believe we waited so long to finally check it out. I can guarantee it won’t take nearly as long for our second visit. Mad Tree is pretty awesome.

Good morning from Northside.

Good morning from Northside…

We walked to Sidewinder this morning to get coffees…

Our Friday morning got off to a really great start. 😀🌄☕️❤️

Over 40 million views.

Back on July 17th, my photos on Google Maps/Local Guides surpassed 30 million views. And a couple of weeks ago on August 18th, I got an email to let me know the photos I’ve uploaded to Google Maps just passed 35 million views. I was going to do a blog post about it but I’m a bit behind on my posting…

Then on August 25th while we were out in the Outer Banks, my photos passed 37.5 million views…

And last week on September 1st, my photos went over 40 million views…

It’s pretty crazy to me that it took a little over a month to go from 30 to 35 but only 14 days to go from 35 to 40 million. I wonder if the pace is just going to keep accelerating?

And today, my reviews on Google Maps went over 300,000 views…

Back again on July 17th, my reviews on Google Maps had just over 250,000 views. And if you ask me, that’s another pretty big jump in a short amount of time. I was at 170,000 views back at the end of  March. It’s all a pretty big accomplishment to me. And it’s pretty neat. It’s nice to still be popular. It’s been tough with COVID-19 but I keep working hard on my Google Maps contributions. Thanks for giving me another way to share my photos, Google! #LetsGuide 😀🗺️📷❤️
