74,000 check-ins.

I just tallied my 74,000th check-in with My Swarm

I still really like my check-ins on Swarm! 😀⭐️❤️

Cyclones preseason hockey.

Tonight, there was a Cincinnati Cyclones preseason hockey game against Indy Fuel down at US Bank Arena…

Tickets were only $5 for tonight’s game…

With the cheap tickets, we thought US Bank Arena would be packed. But not so much…

We started tinkering with a new way two camera way to take selfies at events…

We’ll keep working on it…

We left with a little over a minute left in the game…

And the Cyclones would add another goal to win 4-1! It was great to be back at US Bank Arena for the start of another season of Cincinnati Cyclones hockey! 😀🏒❤️

Seen and noted.

While we were waiting for the Streetcar, we could see the Skystar Wheel

We’ll have to go ride it sometime in the near future. We walked by a new mural work in progress. Probably for the upcoming BLINK Cincinnati festivities

We stopped at Holiday Spirits in Over-the-Rhine for a drink…

And saw the great Zoltar…

And we made it back to Northside Tavern to try to shoot a game of pool…

But all the tables were taken…

It was a really fun night. 😀🍺❤️

Fishbowl at the Banks.

This afternoon we rode the Metro 17 bus downtown and then walked down to The Banks before this evening’s pre-season Cyclones hockey game. We wanted to stop into checkout the new Fishbowl at The Banks

All of their drinks are served in fishbowls and are meant to be shared…

We decided to share a White Claw Wave…

It was pretty good stuff. And Fishbowl is a pretty fun place. It would be a really fun place to go with a group of friends. 😀🐟❤️

Downtown details.

This is the view from Grey Midwest‘s big conference room overlooking the Cincinnati Bengals Paul Brown Stadium, John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge and Ohio River…

And walking to catch the Metro 17 bus home after work, I got to admire the new building across the street from where I used to work as it continues to rise…

😀🚧❤️

The final Reds home game.

Genifer and I took the day off work to go to the final Reds home game of the season…

Today, Hall of Fame announcer Marty Brennaman was wrapping up his 46-year run as the radio voice of the Cincinnati Reds…

unnamed

One of my favorite views in the whole world…

The Reds gave away AM-FM Farwell Marty radios so everyone at the ballpark could listen to Marty call his final game for the Reds…

Aristides Aquino…

We went on a bit of a wander around the ballpark…

All was quiet in the Reds bullpen…

And ended up back upstairs just in time to see the Reds get everyone free pizza…

Eugenio Suarez came in to pinch-hit…

And unfortunately for Marty, this one did not belong to the Reds. The Reds lost 5-3.

Someone forgot to pick up their helmet nachos…

It was another great season of Reds baseball in Cincinnati. We made it to five Reds games this season. Next season, we’re already planning on attending many more baseball games. We just enjoy them so much more than the soccer games. 😀⚾️🎙️❤️

302 End of Summer Party.

The building I work in hosted an End of Summer Party this afternoon…

There were carnival games, an open bar, and Graeter’s ice cream…

And the best part was there were baby goats!

It was a pretty fun way to wind down a Wednesday. 😀🍦🐐❤️

Octoberfest Zinzinnati 2019.

This weekend was Oktoberfest Zinzinnati 2019 weekend in downtown Cincinnati…

And this afternoon, we went downtown to check it out…

Last year, we didn’t go to Oktoberfest at all.

I tried this brat with curry sauce…

It was really good. Something a little bit different. Also a little bit different was the Halo from Busken Bakery…

A Halo is a warm Buskey glazed donut stuffed with ice cream and then hot pressed…

I got the Crown Jewel stuffed with Graeter’s Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip ice cream…

Ohmigosh. It was sooo good.

Next year, we’re taking advantage of this offer, if they do it again…

We made one slow meandering lap of the Oktoberfest. We had a couple of beers and had another brat or two in there. It was fun. Not nearly as much fun all the Oktoberfests as when we used to live downtown. But it was still pretty fun.

PROST! 😀🇩🇪🍺🌭❤️

Seen and noted.

On Fourth Street in downtown Cincinnati is Main Auction Galleries. When I walk by their storefront, there is usually something pretty interesting in their windows. Case in point today, there was a complete set of Japanese samurai armor…

How cool is that? 😀🇯🇵❤️

Fiery Hen.

Because it’s Thursday, we stopped to check out the relatively new, Fiery Hen, it’s just a couple of doors down from Queen City Exchange on Court Street…

Genifer tried one of their cocktails but I don’t remember which one…

I had a $2 Miller High Life. It’s the champagne of beers…

We started with some delicious Pimento Cheese Croquettes…

Genifer had the Chef salad with grilled chicken…

And I ordered the chicken tenders with fries…

You got to pick your spice level. I chose the second mildest, Nashville Mild. It still had a bit of kick. Next time, I’m going to get the least spicy, Yella Belly. And your choice of fries or saratoga chips and ranch or blue cheese. Obviously, I got fries and ranch. Everything was outstanding. I can’t wait to come back to Fiery Hen for more tenders. Because I really love chicken tenders. And these tenders were awesome. 😀🥗🐔🍟❤️
