No Oktoberfest?

For the very first time ever, Genifer and I didn’t go to Oktoberfest Zinzinnati…

We kind of felt an obligation to go to Oktoberfest because we’ve gone for at least a little bit of every Oktoberfest since we began dating back in 2011. But this year, it was rainy so we just stayed at home. And it was wonderful. PROST! 😀🇩🇪🍺❤️

It’s what’s for breakfast.

We don’t eat breakfast all that much. We usually just jump straight to lunch. But this morning breakfast sounded good so Genifer made biscuits and gravy…

And cheesy scrambled eggs…

Breakfast is delicious. 😀🍳❤️

Timehop 100 Club!

I finally made it back to the 100 Club by checking my Timehop 100 days in a row. My longest streak was over 321 Timehops in a row before forgetting to check it one day…

I recently had this photo pop up in my Timehop. It’s one of my oldest photos to make an appearance from 10 years ago…

Timehop is fun. 😀🦕🥞❤️

Inside our Birchbox: September.

My Birchbox for September arrived in the mail today…

In this Birchbox, I got English Laundry Cambridge Knight Eau de ParfumJack Black Intense Therapy Lip BalmBilly Jealousy Soft Rock Texturizing ClayKiehl’s Facial Fuel Energizing Scrub, and V76 by Vaughn Hydrating Shampoo. My favorite this time around is the lip balm and the Kiehl’s Facial Fuel. Genifer also got her Birchbox Beauty for September…

In her Birchbox, she got ARROW BOOST Color Enhancing Lip Balm, Number 4 Jour d’automne Smoothing Balm, M·A·C Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash Mascara, and Benefit Gimme Brow Eyebrow Gel. She also tried FabFitFun. Her first box came this week. Unlike Birchbox that is samples of products that come every month, FabFitFun is full-size, premium products delivered four-times per year…

Her box was filled with all sorts of stuff. She got a French Press coffee maker, an umbrella, a purse, face lotion, body wash, kitchen towels, some nutrition bars and a bunch of other fun stuff. Getting Birchbox and FabFitFun are both really fun. 😀🎁❤️

A rainy evening.

It was a rainy evening in Northside. But check out those clouds…

They looked like they were just painted in the sky. 😀☁️❤️

Home Goods in Rookwood.

This morning we went over to Home Goods at Rookwood Commons. I always find it interesting to wander around inside of Home Goods. They have all sorts of things you never know you needed for your home. I almost got this canvas for our office…

A Halloween mummy mug or a fox wearing glasses mug with legs…

These giraffes were odd but adorable…

As were these pot steam vents…

And the monster on this bag of popcorn…

Who wouldn’t want this huge three-pound bag of gummi bears…

After wandering around Home Goods, we walked to Rusty Bucket again for lunch. Genifer had a burger…

And I had their patty melt…

I love patty melts. 😀🛍️🍔❤️

Goodnight moon.

Goodnight moon from Northside. Taken with Instagram. 😀🌕❤️

Das boot night.

Tonight just happened to be Das Boot night at Higher Gravity with hefeweizen from Weihenstephan, the world’s oldest brewery…

It was a pretty good hefe. And we got to take home our boots! We also got to try the new Braxton & Graeters Pumpkin Pie collaboration…

It was really good. Very pumpkiny. But it’s still just a little bit too early for me to be drinking pumpkin beers. As soon as it starts to feel more like fall outside, it’s on. I also saw this beer from Streetside that sounded interesting but we didn’t try it…

Maybe next time. However, we did bring this guy home this guy…

it was another fun Thursday night at Higher Gravity in Northside. 😀🍺👢🎃🌞❤️

Downtown details.

I ran some errands around downtown this afternoon…

They’re turning the site of the old Dennison Hotel into a super cute little park…

I’m going to have to go back to check it out when they are actually finished with it. But it was more than I expected from this space. I thought it was just going to be more surface parking lot. I was going to ride the streetcar Cincinnati Connector or one of those silly little scooters down to The Banks. But it was so nice outside and I can actually walk again without pain, so I just walked down to Great American Ball Park…

I was getting us some Reds tickets for the final week of their season…

From GABP, I walked down Freedom Way and noted Joella’s Hot Chicken. I’m going to have to come back down to The Banks to check that out for lunch one day…

I continued on to stop to admire the new 150-foot tall SkyStar observation wheel at The Banks. It’s only a temporary addition to downtown. It’s there to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of The Banks. We’ll have to make sure to ride it before December 2nd…

They were getting The Banks ready for Oktoberfest Zinzinnati…

And then I rode the streetcar back to work. Somebody’s gotta ride it now and then…

And then it was back to work…

It’s fun to take a little bit of time out of your day to run around downtown Cincinnati to see the sites especially the new additions. 😀🏙️❤️

It’s a sign.

For the seventeenth edition of the Do Northside House Tour 2018

It’s unfortunate that I think we have an FC|C match on that day. Maybe we’ll be able to check out this next year. 😀🏡❤️
