Just random links.

We’ve decided to move this list of links and random content from a pinned post on our blog to a page. We still plan on updating this page with new and interesting links as I come across them.

Running around on a Friday.

Before I started work this morning, we ran over to Whole Foods at Rookwood Commons in Hyde Park to get some groceries…

The grocery aisles at Whole Foods are one-way streets…

Someday, we’ll have to try Ninja Squirrel Sriracha…

And some of these Bearitos…

And this spicy chicken noodle soup…

Summer must be here! Because we found a mini-keg of Bell’s Oberon!

Whole Foods has some really good stuff! And speaking of good stuff on our way back home from Whole Foods, we stopped for some delicious Biggby Coffee

After I finished all my work for the day, we walked down to Higher Gravity for a beer…

Later, we walked the dogs around the block…

And we got to see this ScareCorona all lit up…

And finally, good evening from Northside…

Today was a good day. 😀🌄🛍️☕️🍺🦠❤️

#ScareCorona, part 6.

We walked to get some coffees from Sidewinder this morning…

On the way back home, we stumbled across a few more ScareCoronas

And this one was my favorite one of the day…

There were some more really good ones. There have been so many ScareCoronas around Northside. And it still seems like there are more every day. It’ll be interesting to see if more keep popping up. 😀🦠❤️wp-15891669894883245732497874256717.jpg

#ScareCorona, part 5.

We saw a few more ScareCoronas this evening. Here are the latest…

I had to walk down Pullan Avenue to see this one…

It’s the most amazing ScareCorona I’ve seen so far…

It was a rainy evening but the sky was really pretty…

And also, a rainy good evening from Northside. 😀🦠🌄wp-15891669894883245732497874256717.jpg

Back to Taft’s Brewpourium.

As Cincinnati restaurants begin to finally reopen, things like hand sanitizing stations, masked servers, and social distance–marked floors are all going to apparently be the new dining-out norm. On Friday, May 15, Ohio restaurants put many of these practices into place as they reopened their patios. And yesterday, they followed by opening their indoor dining room service too.

So after working on our front yard all day, we decided to treat ourselves and order pizza to eat AT Taft’s Brewpourium. The way we figured it, it was all pretty poetic…

The Brewpourium was the last restaurant we ate at before the pandemic closed everything for just over two long months. It was only fitting that the Brewpourium was the first place we ate when restaurants finally reopened…

We dropped off a whole bunch of old growlers for recycling…

I think we almost completely filled those first two boxes.

Please wait to be seated is also going to be the new normal…

We were shown to our table…

We made fancy pants reservations because we thought there would be a whole lot more people craving to eat AT the Brewpourium as much as we were…

We were wrong. But we didn’t care. We had the place all to ourselves last time. Why not have the place all to ourselves this time too?

Cheers to dining out again!

AND…

And, and, and… Taft’s Brewpourium had their incredible chicken wings back available. And I had been missing their wings so much. They weren’t available for online ordering during the shutdown. I almost ordered 12 wings. But there’s no way two people can eat 12 Brewpourium wings. No way. So we got 6 Cherrywood BBQ wings and a small white pizza with sausage. And it was amazing to be back out somewhere…

Their white pizza was seriously delicious…

After we finished eating, we just sat there and had a couple of beers and stared out their garage door windows that were wide open. And it was heavenly.

We’re really glad that all the restaurants, especially Taft’s Brewpourium are back open. 😀🍕🐔🍺❤️

We hope people are smart and use common sense when they’re out so that the inevitable second wave of COVID-19 is minimized as much as possible. But we weren’t not going to hold our breath. People are idiots.

Pause for paws.

Oscar is sooooo fluffy

He gets a very much needed haircut on Friday. 😀🐾✂️❤️

And here’s photo of Oscar when we were still able to watch baseball…

I really miss baseball.

#ScareCorona, part 4.

On our walk back home with our delicious Sidewinder beverages, we saw a bunch more ScareCoronas. Here are the latest…

And this one wasn’t a ScareCorona but it was still really neat…

We found even more ScareCoronas around Northside! I’ve been doing my best to try to capture all the ones that we stumble across. Here are the latest…

#ScareCorona, part 2.

There have been a lot more ScareCoronas popping up around Northside. I’ve been doing my best to try to capture all the ones that we stumble across. This afternoon we took the dogs on a walk so we could get a closer look at them…

Saturday morning errands.

This morning we got up, dodged the raindrops and ran over to the grocery store…

I stopped to look for a birthday card for my sister…

Since the last time we were at Kroger, they placed doors over all the refrigerated sections like where the eggs and yogurts live…

Just another handle to touch. It seems like the grocery store is slowly returning to normal as far as supplies go. There were very few empty shelves this trip. There were also these adorable BBQ themed balloons…

After we had all our groceries, we stopped at the Kroger Fuel Center to get some gas. Genifer had so many Kroger Rewards points that she got $1 off each gallon of gas. And it made the gas just 59¢ a gallon…

We wished we could have filled the car up twice…

Because it only cost $8 to fill up our car…

On the way home, we stopped to get some Biggby Coffee

It was just a rainy morning. But at least, we got our grocery shopping out of the way for the week.  😀🛍️☕️❤️
