It was another foggy morning in Northside. 😀🌁❤️
And it was really foggy downtown too…

Construction has made its way into Northside. They’ve been working on Hamilton Avenue on and off for a while now. And when I was walking home for the bus stop this evening, I noticed the construction was starting to migrate from Hamilton in our direction. At the intersection of Brookside and Pullan…

And on Donaldson around the corner from our house…

Up by the school, someone lost their 5…

Good evening from Northside. 😀🚧5⃣🌄❤️

I don’t miss many things about my old job. Not very many at all. But the one thing I miss the most was the location. I felt more centrally located in the Central Business District when I was located at Eighth and Main Streets. As opposed to now, being tucked away in this little armpit of downtown over by the Bengals Stadium. I just used to be really close to way more stuff. And one of the things I miss was being right around the corner from the Weston Art Gallery because the Weston always has some really interesting art exhibits.
On my way to the bus after work tonight, I was by the Weston and stopped in to see their current exhibition…

The current exhibition was called Emily Moores’s Felt Embrace. It’s an undulating and ornate suspended installation comprised of wood, paper, and fabric in the Weston’s street-level space…

In her intricate and ethereal installations, Emily Moores (Cincinnati, OH) investigates the affective dimensions of texture: the intimate interaction with an individual’s feelings and body without physical touch. Responding to the vertical expanse of the Weston’s street-level atrium, Moores constructs Felt Embrace, a new suspended installation assembled from folded and cut paper and fabric that combines ornamentation and patterns in a unified monumental mass, fragile and detailed, yet also ominous and tumultuous. With this new installation, Moores’s recent addition of bold color into her work creates greater impact and dynamic contrast to its architectural setting.

It’s a really beautiful exhibition. I’ll have to try to stop back on Friday to see what is on display in their lower level. 😀🖼️🎨❤️

I just love this view from the ninth floor of 302 West Third Street…

And I also love looking up at Carew Tower as I’m walking down Fourth Street on my way to catch the Metro 17 bus home…

Good evening from downtown Cincinnati. 😀🌇❤️
Oh, and the little #CincyStreetBot in the crosswalk at Walnut and Seventh Streets doesn’t look like it’s holding up so well…

🙁🤖❤️

My photos on Google Maps/Local Guides just reached 15 million views…

It’s a pretty big accomplishment. And that’s pretty neat. It’s nice to still be popular. Thanks for giving me another way to share my photos, Google! 😀🗺📷❤

Good evening again from our backyard in Northside. The sunsets have been really pretty lately when it hasn’t been all rainy and grey.

A little over a year ago, the new brand identity I designed for Cincinnati Public Radio was unveiled and started to make its debut around Cincinnati…

It’s been pretty neat to drive around Cincinnati and see the logo I designed on billboards and pop up unexpectedly here and there. Today, I noticed that the logo I designed won a rather prestigious 2019 American Graphic Design Award…

This year’s showcase of 600 pieces (winnowed from more than 12,000 entries) reflects the many ways that graphic design shapes business and society, products and services, commerce and culture and causes. Winners run the gamut from print and packaging to internet and interactive, from dream assignments to bread and butter endeavors, from established stars to rising newcomers, from red states to blue.
Pretty neat. Just knowing that I created a logo that will be part of a very vibrant and diverse Cincinnati community for the foreseeable future is an even better feeling.
But the best feeling is having that logo in my portfolio.
Thank you, Graphic Design USA! 😀🏆❤️

I think Milk & Mocha Bear are just so cute…

They remind me so much of the relationship Genifer and I have together. 😀🐻❤️

We got up early this morning to run over to get a few groceries from Trader Joe’s. And I became the mayor of Trader Joe’s on Swarm…

And then, we stopped at Biggby again for weekend morning coffee…

Genifer is the mayor of Biggby. We just had another pretty lazy day at home. I finished up my project for work. And we took the dogs on a few walks. On one of our walks, we found this little jazzy cool cat on the sidewalk that someone must have lost…

I set him on the base of one of the streetlights. I hope he can find his people again. We watched The Aeronauts on Prime Video. It was pretty good. It was just another pretty low-key Sunday. 😀☕️🐱❤️
Weekends are always better when you don’t have to work on a bunch of stuff for work. But it’s also pretty nice to have the opportunity to work on some pretty big projects, even if the timelines are kind of ridiculous.
