Guess who’s back open after a brief COVID-19 hiatus? BIGGBY COFFEE! Genifer called Biggby and it turns out they reopened on Wednesday…
So this morning, we ran over to Madisonville to get some Biggby coffees…
We didn’t even need to look at the menu…
Genifer got a Caramel Marvel and I got the Cocoa Carmella with a bit of butterscotch…
Biggby Coffee is so delicious. We’re really happy that they’re back open. We haven’t had coffee from Biggby is almost a month. And that’s just too long. 😀☕️❤️

Before I started working this morning, we ran over to get some drive-thru Friday morning coffee and hot chocolate from Mad Llama in Madisonville…
It was so good when we got Mad Llama on Wednesday…
Genifer got a caramel latte with oat milk and I got a hot chocolate, of course…
Mad Llama makes some really delicious drinks. 😀🦙☕️❤️

We ran over to the grocery this morning. And we were pleasantly surprised by our trip today. They really restocked since the last time we went about a week ago. And they had these signs all over the store…
There weren’t nearly as many empty shelves as there were last time. And it wasn’t too busy. But there were still a surprising number of people at the grocery at 8am on a Friday morning. And we saw these Hostess Baseball Cupcakes….
Day Game and Night Game cupcakes. We should have got some cupcakes.
There were a lot of check-out lanes open this morning. And they alternated lanes so it was one open, one closed. They also added a bunch of floor stickers to show six feet for social distancing at check-out.
And a LOT of people were wearing masks and latex gloves. Some people were wearing bandanas and the elbow-length gloves used to wash dishes. And that was the oddest thing about our trip.
Other than that, it was a pretty normal trip to Kroger. 😀🛍️❤️

Grey Midwest was going to have a trial run of the entire office worked from home next Tuesday. But yesterday afternoon, they decided to move that trial up to today.
This morning, we got up extra early and went to the grocery before I got down to some work business. I was really interested in seeing how picked over the store was going to be. I heard stories about people buying up all the toilet paper and paper towels, which is weird to me because COVID-19 is a respiratory illness, not a gastrointestinal one. And we found that was actually the case at the Kroger we shop at the most. There wasn’t much toilet paper or paper towel to be found…
There also wasn’t very much cold medicine left…
The hand soaps were pretty picked over…
As was the milk…
And the bread…
And the cans of soup…
But also the frozen pizzas…
And the hot dogs?
Thankfully, there were still plenty of Shining Stars…
And I thought this bear was pretty adorable…
The check-out lines were long but not terrible…
This couple’s carts were pretty ridiculous when you really stop and look at them…
They must have been planning on not leaving their house for the next couple of years.
I thought it was pretty ironic that there were already strategically placed “Get well soon” balloons at the check-out aisles…
So that was what shopping will be like for a while in the new world we find ourselves in during this pandemic. People lose their minds a bit. We just got our normal groceries.
And then we got Biggby Coffee and headed home with our groceries…
I needed to start working home. 😀🛒🛍️☕️❤️

The time changed last night and it’s really messing us up this morning. We were tired…
And there was a wicked fierce glare on their sign…
But Biggby coffee makes everything a little bit better…
After we had our Biggby drinks, we went to the grocery. At Kroger, all Hot Wheels were a dollar. How cool is rat rod?
And there were Hot Tamales Peeps…
Wut? I am not a fan of Peeps. And I bet Hot Tamales Peeps are just gross. 😀☕️❤️

This morning started with some coffees from Biggby Coffee…
YUM! Biggby has terrific hot chocolate. I love mine with some butterscotch added to it.
After we had our drinks in hand, we stopped at JackRabbit in Obryanville…
At last year’s Higher Gravity Spring Grove Beer Gallop, Genifer won a $125 gift certificate towards a brand new running shoes from JackRabbit. And with this year’s Spring Grove Beer Gallop right around the corner, Genifer thought she’d better get some new running shoes…
Genifer got these Brooks running shoes…
These terrific running shoes only cost her $25. And that’s pretty awesome.
Later, we ran out to get lunch at Freddy’s Steakburgers…
Ohmigosh. I love Freddy’s Steakburgers….
I think I’ve finally zeroed in on my go-to Freddy’s order. I think it’s going to be the original double. This is the original double with bacon…
But next time and into the future, my order will be just the original double with fries…
I used to get the triple steakburger. Sometimes I could do it. But sometimes, it was a real struggle and it was too much. Freddy’s also has a patty melt that is really good. But it’s not like a traditional patty melt. But it’s still really good.
On our way home for Freddy’s, we stopped in College Hill at Brink Brewing. Brink is one of my favorite Cincinnati breweries…
They have such great beers. Our big beer was a King Cake beer. It was awesome. Brink always has something really interesting on tap.
And that was pretty much our Saturday. We were pretty happy that we actually got out and did something on a Saturday…
And it was a great Saturday.

It’s Saturday morning and we’re contractually obligated to head over Madisonville to get our weekend morning coffee from Biggby…
Especially since Biggby had a BOGO coupon on their Instagram…
Wouldn’t that be awesome if we really were under contract to drink Biggby hot chocolate and post photos about it every weekend? It would be terrific. But we kind of do that every weekend anyway.

I get the same thing every time. Once we had our drinks, we headed over to Kroger to get some groceries. Valentine’s Day is next weekend and the Valentine’s Day stuff was pretty much everywhere…
We saw another chocolate Perfect Man…
We saw the perfect Valentine for a man…
All these adorable llamas said hey…
Also, chocolate Easter bunnies are out on shelf at Kroger…
I don’t know when Easter is this year. But it feels pretty early for Easter bunnies.
And we saw this panda bear in the international food aisle…
The panda was filled with these weird jello cups with floating bits of fruit…
I wonder if they’re any good? The Asian section of the international food aisle is usually where the odd ball stuff is stored.
There’s always something mildly interesting at the grocery store. 😀☕️💗❣️❤️

Today was my birthday! We both took the day off work. Because the only thing worse than a Wednesday birthday is having to go to work on a Wednesday birthday…
We started our day with some Biggby coffees…
And then we went over to the BMV around the corner from Biggby on Red Bank Road to get the new tags for our Jetta and I had to renew my license this year…
We got our tags. I renewed my license. And I passed my vision test… without having to use my glasses! That’s a pretty good thing because last week, I cracked my glasses in two when I was putting my laptop into my backpack one morning…
Bummer about my glasses. Hooray for renewing my license without them.
After we got the BMV out of the way, we could have some birthday fun. 😀☕️👓❤️
