It was a beautiful day. We hung out in our backyard…
And we went back to Taft’s Brewpourium for more delicious New Haven style pizza…
Ohmigosh! We love Taft’s pizza. I think it’s our very favorite pizza in all of Cincinnati.
Later, we took the dogs around the block….

We also grilled the leftover chicken sausages and hot dogs from the propane grill…

We woke up early this morning to take Oscar to Petsmart to finally get his haircut. But first, we stopped to admire our front yard again in the morning light…
We were running a bit early for his appointment so to burn a little bit of time we stopped through the drive-thru at Biggby for some delicious Biggby coffee…
Then it was time for to get his haircut…
While we were waiting for Oscar to get done with his grooming, we stopped to do some grocery shopping at Kroger…
Holy margarita display…
And it worked. We bought a bottle of peach margaritas. But this giant iguana in a tree didn’t get us to buy anything…
Oscar was ready to come home with some new toys…
And he looked so handsome again…
After we got home with Oscar with put away our groceries, we sunk our stepping stone into our front yard…
And then we rewarded ourselves with one of those margaritas in our backyard…
As we sat on our patio in our backyard, the skies started to look a bit ominous…
And was pretty much our Sunday. 😀📅❤️

Genifer made crescent roll vegetable pizza for lunch this afternoon…
I love crescent roll vegetable pizza. It’s one of those things I never get very often for whatever reason. Crescent rolls with cream cheese and vegetables, what’s not to like? And there was extra broccoli. Broccoli is one of my very favorite vegetables…
For dinner, we fired up the grill again…

Good morning from Northside…
We worked on our yard a bit today…
We’re putting together plans to make our yards better. I really struggle with this stuff. It’s hard to figure out what you want to do and it’s not cheap to try to set plans into motion. It seems like we come up with a plan, refine that plan, set the plan in motion, find out the plan isn’t really feasible, and then start the whole process all over.
I feel like we took a good step forward today though. We got a great quote to have our fence replaced in our backyard…
And we have a really good plan for our front yard. Hopefully, the weather will start to be as nice as it was today…

It was so gorgeous outside this afternoon. The weather tablet in our office said it was an unseasonably warm 87º outside…
Oscar’s groomer was deemed non-essential when the closed all the Ohio businesses. He’s gotten so shaggy over the six weeks. And you could tell lately he’s just been really warm and uncomfortable…
So this afternoon we tried to give Oscar a haircut…
I’ve cut my hair twice so far during the stay home. It’s turned out pretty nice both times.
I thought, “How hard could it be to cut Oscar’s hair?”
It turns out that cutting Oscar’s hair is a lot harder…
I didn’t do a very good job. At all…
Dang. Sorry, buddy. I have a new respect for the amazing job Lauren at VCA College Hill does with Oscar.
Later, we fired up the grill again…
Those burgers were just out of this world. 😀🐾🍔🌭❤️
UPDATE: Oscar’s groomer has started to take appointments again starting May 13th and he has an appointment for Friday, May 15th. So he won’t have to be uncomfortable for much longer and maybe she can even out the mess I made of his coat.

We noticed on Instagram that Second Place has started selling their delicious bourbon slushes to go. So you know we had to get a couple of slushies…
I think they repainted the building next to Second Place…
And The Littlefield was open for carry-out as well…
And we sat out in our backyard and enjoyed our slushes…
Hopefully this mess will start to look better very soon…
And Oscar hopes so too…
What a great way to send a Friday evening. Ugly or not, I love our backyard. 😀🏡🍻❤️
