Fretboard Brewing Company.

This afternoon we drove out to Blue Ash to check out Fretboard Brewing Company

It’s a pretty cool space. It’s a lot bigger than I thought it would be…

They had a lot of interesting sounding beers on tap…

But we were drawn out to Fretboard to try their Chase the Devil Double Imperial Stout with Habanero, coffee, and chocolate…

And it was pretty dang awesome. It had just the right amount of heat. Also, inside of Fretboard is Smoked Out Cincy BBQ

We ordered a whole bunch of BBQ…

And it was really awesome too. My favorite thing was the Cajun Chicken Rolls. We also shared Fretboard’s Mimosa Fruit Beer

And their Island Style Tropical Ale

And those beers were really good too!

Fretboard is yet another really great Cincinnati brewery. We’ll definitely have to make another trip out to Blue Ash really soon. 😀🍺❤️

Queen City Exchange.

We stopped at Queen City Exchange after work this evening because now QCE has boozy slushies! They just added Bourbon and Frozén Rosé slushes! We tried one of their bourbon slushes and they’re are pretty dang delicious…

As we were getting ready to leave, all the beer prices dropped to $3 for 12 ounce pours…

We asked our bartender about what was going on. He said QCE does this about once a month so that people can try a bunch of different beers in smaller sample sizes. And that’s pretty cool. We love Queen City Exchange. 😀🍹🍺❤️

#LOVEtheCOV.

This afternoon we went across the Ohio River back into Kentucky over to Covington to finally check out Libby’s Southern Comfort for brunch

We had one of those Cherrywine Bourbon Slushes that we’ve heard so much about…

And they definitely lived up to the hype…

They were delicious. We shared some goetta hushpuppies…

Genifer had a house salad…

I had their oyster po’ boy…

Behind the bar, they had a whole bunch of really old bourbons…

Including one from the year I was born…

I wanted to ask how much a shot of it was, but didn’t get the chance. I can’t imagine that those were cheap. At all. Libby’s was really good. But it was also a bit on the expensive side for brunch. I’m glad we got to try it but I don’t think we’ll be rushing right back until I get a bonus or something.

After we were finished eating, we walked around the corner to Braxton Brewing

Last night was the grand opening of Braxton’s new rooftop patio…

The elevator wasn’t working so we had to take the stairs…

We were getting our steps today, that’s for sure…

Their rooftop patio os beautiful and so big with some great views…

I can’t believe I didn’t take a photo of downtown Cincinnati for up here. But oh well…
what are you going to do? Guess we’ll have to get one next time.

It’s always fun to check out other neighborhoods. We #LOVEtheCOV but we’re sticking with our Northside. 😀🥃🍺❤️

Happy Fourth of July!

Happy Fourth of July! Happy birthday America! We walked through the one and only Northside Fourth of July Parade

We walked over to Northside Yacht Club for lunch…

NSYC was having an all-you-could-eat cookout with burgers and brats and fried chicken and all the delicious cookout sides. It was pretty amazing and so delicious…

And genifer tried one of Yacht Clubs’ Capri-Sun of Anarchy…

And then we walked over to Hoffner Park to check out the Rock ‘n Roll Carnival

We had one a UA Keypunch…

And had a slice of Chameleon cheese pizza…

It was a really good Northside Fourth of July! ‘MURICA! 😀🇺🇸❤️

Urban Artifact+Second Place.

We stopped at Urban Artifact to pick up a six-pack of UA’s spicy pickle beer

Apparently, everyone else had the same idea…

The line was as wide as it was long. Eventually, we got our six-pack and then broke camp to have a drink at Second Place

And it was much less crowded…

It was a fun afternoon in Northside. 😀🥒🍺❤️

Jalapeño Common at Second Place.

We have a thing for spicy beers. We saw that Second Place had a Jalapeño Common from Darkness Brewing in Bellevue, Kentucky on tap. So we stopped on the way home from work to give it a try…

And it was a really good one. Just the right amount of heat. We’ll have to put Darkness Brewing on the list of places to visit sometime soon. 😀🍺🌶️🥈❤️

Wodka Bar+Pins Rooftop Patio.

This afternoon we ventured down into Over-the-Rhine to check out the new Wodka Bar on Main Street with our friends, Chris and Tayler…

Wodka Bar is almost exclusively all craft vodka. We all shared a vodka flight…

Genifer also tried a pickle martini…

I tried their take on a White Russian called Russian Collusion. I would have ordered it just for the name alone…

It was really good but not as good as my favorite White Russian in all of Cincinnati over at Northside Distilling Company. We also shared some potato pierogis…

The pierogis were simply amazing. I was really digging the Eastern European artwork in the bathrooms…

And the ornate Sistine Chapel-esque ceiling in the bathroom as well…

Wodka Bar is a pretty neat place. From there, we walked down Main Street back to Pins Mechanical to check out their rooftop patio…

We played some rooftop patio giant Jenga…

And we played some rooftop patio Bocce ball…

Pins had this awesome fruit punch and Sprite mocktail that was delicious…

It was another really fun afternoon in OtR. 😀🍸❤️

Sam Adams Taproom+The Italian Truck.

On the way home tonight, we stopped at the Sam Adams Taproom in Over-the-Rhine…

We shared one of Sam Adams famous and delicious giant pretzels…

But we didn’t realize The Italian Truck was out on Sam Adams patio…

We had to give them a try. We don’t get to try food trucks like we used to. So who knows when we’d get another chance. We ordered a Meatball Burrito, which was very good…

And Mozzarella Sticks because who doesn’t love Mozzarella Sticks?

And we took home a couple of cannoli for later…

It was all really good stuff. Speaking of stuffed, we definitely were.

And look at that gorgeous sky…

Dang. So pretty. It was a very tasty Friday evening! 😀🍺🥨🇮🇹❤️

It must be Thursday.

We stopped at Queen City Radio again on the way home from work for a whip classic cheeseburger, a cheese coney, and some fries…

We love the whip classic…

YUM! We love Queen City Radio Thursdays! 😀🍔🍟🌭❤️

And a cherry on top.

On our way home from work tonight, we stopped at Northside Distilling Company for a happy hour drink…

I’m in love with their White Russian called The Dude. It’s one of my favorite drinks in all of Cincinnati. And it was an Old Fashioned for Genifer. She love’s a good Old Fashioned…

I finally got a few decent photos of one of the cherries for our drink being carmelized…

Northside Distilling Company makes some pretty outstanding cocktails. 😀🥃❤️
