O Christmas tree.
We decorated our Christmas tree this afternoon. After Christmas last year, I bought an artificial Christmas tree on the real cheap online. We’ve hadn’t even opened the box it was shipped in until today. Assembling the tree was pretty easy. It consisted of just three segments and a base. We fluffed all the branches and we were pleasantly surprised with how good it looked. And it’s pretty tall too…
We added some lights and a bunch of ornaments…
We think our tree is very beautiful. 😀🎄❤️

Holtman’s Donuts West Chester.
We found ourselves out in West Chester this morning so we stopped to get a little box of delicious Holtman’s Donuts…
YUM! Holtman’s has some of the best donuts around Cincinnati. 😀🍩❤️

Let’s GO X!
We had tickets for this afternoon’s Xavier Men’s basketball game against the Oakland Golden Grizzlies. We bought our tickets a while back after discovering how silly cheap you could get tickets for events on StubHub. Unfortunately, you can’t purchase good weather. It was pouring down rain this morning on our way to the game…
I made it through yet another metal detector without my hips set off the alarms…
It’s been a while since we’ve been to a Xavier game…
I don’t remember the player introductions being so cool…
We figured out there’s a place to stand up behind the seats. We like standing…
Xavier was leading at halftime…
It was kind of an ugly game. But Xavier won 73-63! That’s three in a row for X!
On the way out of Cintas Center, they gave everyone 20% off coupons at the Xavier team shop. We looked in the shop inside Cintas Center but they didn’t have any sizes…
So we walked down to the All For One Shop. And they had everything Xavier…
We both got Xavier sweatshirts to wear to our next Xavier game. 😀✖️🏀❤️
On our way home, we stopped at Taft’s Brewpourium for a beer, some loaded tots and a pepperoni&sausage apizza…
It was a really fun Saturday! 😀🍕❤️

This evening we stopped at Higher Gravity for a beer. We wanted to try Platform Beer Company’s Fostered Bananas Sour Berliner Weisse and Brink Brewing’s Armored Heart Coffee & Vanilla Stout…
And we had to pick up our 2018 Higher Gravity Beervent Calendar…
It’s like any other Advent calendars used to countdown the days of Advent in eager anticipation of Christmas. Except with this calendar, there’s a different beer behind every door. We can’t wait to see what beers are waiting for us every day as we inch closer to Christmas…

Winding down another work week.
I’m packing up my workspace and calling it a week. I’m heading home for a three-day weekend. They gave us Monday off for a holiday shopping day. And they gave us a nice holiday bonus for our shopping. So that’s pretty nice. 😀💻❤️

Constructing Cincinnati.
I was curious to see how much progress they would make on the building across the street from work after the long holiday weekend. Since I last looked, it seems like they cleared all the rubble and debris and they’re starting to fill in the void with dirt. I took this photo on Monday morning…
I’m stil not really sure what the plan is for this space. I thought they were going to build ridiculously priced condos here. But recently, I heard that deal fell through. So I don’t know what they plan to do with this piece of prime real estate in downtown Cincinnati. 😀🚧❤️
