Mondays are the worst. I don’t like them. Not one bit. When I get home from work, all I want to do is change my clothes, walk the dogs, eat some something and go lay down. But NYPD cheese pizza makes Mondays a little less horrible…

This afternoon we walked down to Second Place for the second half of the Manchester City versus Liverpool match. there was a pretty good crowd on hand for the match…
Truth be told, we were at Second Place more for the cheeseburgers than the match…
They have some pretty amazing burgers at Second Place. The ManCity-Liverpool match ended in a 0-0 draw. We hung out to watch most of the Bengals game. And they actually won again. After the Bengals game, we walked to Higher Gravity. There weren’t very many people in Higher Gravity after the Bengals game this afternoon…
We watched the end of the Chiefs game with our friends Chris and Tayler. After they left, we met FC Cincinnati midfielder Corben Bone and his family. They stopped into Higher Gravity for a beer and a slice of pizza from Chameleon. We talked to them for a bit before they headed out. They live in Northside as well. Actually, they live just around the corner from us. And they were super nice. It was really neat to get to meet Corben Bone and get to talk soccer with him for a few minutes. We hope we run into them again sometime.
It was another really fun afternoon in Northside. 😀⚽️🍻❤️

We were watching our FC Cincinnati play away to Pittsburgh Riverhounds. The match ended in a very uneventful 0-0 draw. But at halftime, USL unveiled their new future rebranding, and it was pretty slick…
As a designer who loves soccer, this would have been a dream project to work on. And it’s really well done. It’s a very nice rebranding for USL Soccer. The entire effort, everything about it feels very Premier League to me. The animations, the graphics, the fonts, the whole thing is wonderful. Well done, USL! I love how they tiered their leagues. It makes me sad that Cincinnati isn’t going to be a part of it. Because I think it’s great. I think the USL has a lot more vision than MLS. MLS has always just seemed like a huge cash grab to me. Less about the soccer, certainly less about the fans, definitely about snatching every last dollar possible. Sorry, I’m just not a fan of MLS. At all.
Here are the “highlights” from a pretty boring 0-0 draw…
But with this draw, FC Cincinnati tied a USL record by extending their undefeated streak to 22 matches. They can break the record next weekend at Nashville in the game of the regular season. 😀⚽️🏆❤️

After work, I met Genifer at Hoffner Park…
And we walked down to The Hamilton for happy hour…
Genifer got here nails done earlier in the day…
And we shared the Northside Charcuterie board with a variety of meats, cheese, pickled vegetables and little crostini…
I love meat and cheese boards. And this one was really incredible. Stopping at The Hamilton was a great way to start the weekend. 😀🥃❤️

Remember when I saw people putting the finishing touches on a cute little park on the site of the old Dennison Hotel? I walked by it again today. And it wasn’t so cute.
It was all artificial turf grass and the entrance was padlocked shut…
I don’t understand why they would even bother making it look presentable only to not allow anyone into this space. But then again, people suck especially the people who tore down the Dennison Hotel to create this illusion. 😐🌳❤️

On our way home from work, the sky started to look pretty threatening…
A few minutes later, it started pouring down rain. And then we saw this sight up the road at the corner of Central Parkway and Monmouth Avenue…
That’s the second car I’ve seen that’s been flipped over so far this year. And that’s pretty crazy by itself but the fact that both flipped over cars were on straightaways makes it even crazier. 😀🚗🗯️❤️
