Take me out to the ballgame.

This afternoon we went to the Sunday Reds game against the Colorado Rockies, or as we like to call it, baseball church. It was our second Reds game of the season after we were rained out on the second game of the season

We stopped to look at our Reds All-Star Legacy brick

Next time we come down to a Reds game, we’re going to have to bring a little scrubber and some water to clean our brick. But it was great to be back with our friends at Great American Ball Park…

It sure was a beautiful day for baseball…

Yasiel Puig…

He’s really quickly become one of my very favorite Reds. After his at-bat, we moved down to the gap…

And then down to the right-field line…

Someone had already lost one of the stickers from their Joey Votto Fathead…

And we moved out underneath the PNC Power Stacks in center field…

Yasiel Puig…

And back up to the gap…

And this one belongs to the Reds!

It was great to be back at the ballpark. 😀⚾️❤️

UPDATE: I was really bummed to find out this morning that @Reds traded away Yaisel Puig. I was hoping that he would be in Cincinnati for many, many seasons. It’s the first time a quite a while that I actually feel sad about a Reds player leaving Cincinnati after being traded. I’ll definitely miss Puig’s larger than life personality and his passion for the game. He made baseball in Cincinnati really fun again. ⚾️😥💪💯

UPDATE: Don’t even get me started on the Reds trading Scooter Gennett to the Giants for a player to be named later. 😭 Taken with Instagram.

Fretboard Brewing Company.

This afternoon we drove out to Blue Ash to check out Fretboard Brewing Company

It’s a pretty cool space. It’s a lot bigger than I thought it would be…

They had a lot of interesting sounding beers on tap…

But we were drawn out to Fretboard to try their Chase the Devil Double Imperial Stout with Habanero, coffee, and chocolate…

And it was pretty dang awesome. It had just the right amount of heat. Also, inside of Fretboard is Smoked Out Cincy BBQ

We ordered a whole bunch of BBQ…

And it was really awesome too. My favorite thing was the Cajun Chicken Rolls. We also shared Fretboard’s Mimosa Fruit Beer

And their Island Style Tropical Ale

And those beers were really good too!

Fretboard is yet another really great Cincinnati brewery. We’ll definitely have to make another trip out to Blue Ash really soon. 😀🍺❤️

Pause for paws.

This morning we took Oscar to the vet to get his allergy shot…

He loves riding in the car with us, even if it’s to go get his allergy shots. 😀🐾❤️

Good evening from Northside.

Good evening from Northside. 😀🌄❤️

Queen City Exchange.

We stopped at Queen City Exchange after work this evening because now QCE has boozy slushies! They just added Bourbon and Frozén Rosé slushes! We tried one of their bourbon slushes and they’re are pretty dang delicious…

As we were getting ready to leave, all the beer prices dropped to $3 for 12 ounce pours…

We asked our bartender about what was going on. He said QCE does this about once a month so that people can try a bunch of different beers in smaller sample sizes. And that’s pretty cool. We love Queen City Exchange. 😀🍹🍺❤️

Happy National Chili Dog Day!

After I was done volunteering at the Cincinnati Zoo, I walked about 1.2 miles from the zoo over to Skyline Chili in the Clifton Gaslight District for lunch. On my way, I walked by this great community garden…

And this City Barn…

And before I knew it, I was at Skyline in Clifton…

HAPPY NATIONAL CHILI DOG DAY TO ME! Yep. It’s an actual thing

Skyline is delicious! After my lunch, I hopped on the Metro 17 bus and came home.
😀🧀🌭❤️

Grey Midwest Volunteer Day.

Today was Grey Midwest Volunteer Day. There were three different volunteer activities to choose from. I got to volunteer at the Cincinnati Zoo‘s Animal Enrichment Program in the Zoo’s P&G Discovery Forest…

Right up there on the little platform is an adorable sloth…

Today, we were building cubes for the animals to play with made out of old fire hose…

Ours was going to be the biggest cube intended for the elephants to play with. After a couple of hours, we had one layer down, five more to go…

But then we had to start over because we weren’t doing it right…

At least there were pop-ice…

Other people were building little cubes for the smaller animals…

Here’s a little bit bigger cube…

And even bigger still…

Our cube was supposed to be six hose weaved cube…

We got two layers done before it was time to go…

It was fun but it was a lot more work than I thought it would be. 😀🐘🔲❤️

It’s what’s for dinner.

We have spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread for dinner tonight…

I love spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread! 😀🍝❤️

I did it again!

For just the ninth timeI went over 3000 points for the week on my Swarm.

I still really like my check-ins on Swarm! 😀⭐️❤️

Pause for paws.

Oscar and Mack love hanging out under our dining room table like it’s their special dog fort or something…

And we played in our backyard for a while this evening…

Ugh. Our backyard is just… ugh. But it was still a really fun Sunday. 😀🐾❤️
