It was really nice this morning. Genifer and I drove over to get Sidewinder Coffee before she left for the office and before I headed upstairs to get to work.
And this morning, Sidewinder had new cinnamon rolls and I got the last one…

It was a really good cinnamon roll. Not as good as the original cinnamon twists that Sidewinder used to have. Those were some of the best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had. But this one was pretty darn good. It reminded me a lot of the cinnamon muffin we shared at Overeasy in Dallas. πβοΈβ€οΈ
But maybe, just maybe, this was a little sign that things are starting to return to normal just a little bit.

Today is the four year and two month anniversary of our wedding in Jamaica…

It’s crazy to me that it’s already been four years. ππ―π²πβ€οΈ

We had another one of the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meals for dinner tonight. This one was Creamy Chili Verde Chicken Penne with corn&poblano peppers…

It was another really delicious Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meal. Their meals always combine such interesting ingredients. The creamy chili verde pasta with chicken and corn was all very tasty. And it had just the right amount of spicy. It was really good.
We really like the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meal kits a lot. πππβ€οΈ
And this was our 200th It’s what’s for dinner post on our blog!

We saw another Northside sidewalk snail on our dog walk this morning…

Discovering little sidewalk snails on our morning dog walks are one of the best parts spring and summer in Northside. ππβ€οΈ

Milan used to love walking over to Fido Field in downtown Cincinnati. When it was walk time, he’d just sit and stare at you…

And then he’d walk with you through P&G Gardens down to Lytle Park and then start pulling until he got to Fido Field. And he would be so happy…

He loved going up by the fenceline…

He’d wait for cars to come around the corner of Gilbert and he’d race them down the fenceline. And he’d beat a lot of them. He was so fast…

Always remembering all the good times with the bud dog. ππΎβ€οΈ

After working on our front yard this afternoon, we ran over to Taft’s Brewpourium to support one of Northside favorites…

On Saturdays and Sunday, Taft’s Brewpourium has a special for a large two-topping pizza and a growler for just $27…

Our pizza and growler was ready and waiting for us…

Our growler was filler with one of our favorites, Taft’s Hazy Colada…

We also picked up a six-pack of Taft’s new beer, Love in the Tub…

It’s a peanut butter mocha pie stout. It was incredible! And proceeds went to Taft’s Team Relief Fund to help currently out of work employees…

Our large pepperoni and sausage pizza was incredible too…

And we ate the entire thing. The Brewpourium is one of our favorite places. And we’ve missed it so much. We’re going to have to get another New Haven style pizza again very, very soon. πππ»β€οΈ

Our front yard is kind of a hot mess…

It doesn’t look too bad when the grass is mowed…

But it still needs some love. I think we finally have a plan for how to make it better. And this afternoon, we started ripping up the grass on the far side of our lawn…

We’re thinking about putting a little stone garden with some shrubs on the far side over what’s now dirt. We’re going to put some stepping stones through the middle of our yard connecting our steps with the sidewalk. And then, we’ll figure out how to get rid of the rest of the grass and replace it with clover and violets so we never have to mow our front yard again. We think it’s going to look really nice. ππ‘β€οΈ
