Dinosaurs & cheeseburgers.

I’ve started doing these posts on our blog that just sums up our entire day in one post. I like them especially on days where we don’t do a lot. But I’m really struggling with what to call them. I was just titling these posts things like “Our Friday.” but that’s as boring as what we actually did today.

We both had today off work for Juneteenth. Good morning from Northside…

We ran over to start our day with some Biggby Coffee. On Fridays, it’s free shot Friday at Biggby. You get a extra shot of coffee in your drink… for FREE…

We ran to Whole Foods to get some groceries and we also swung through Home Goods…

And then we were pretty lazy for the rest of the day…

Until we went on a walk with the dogs. There were some really pretty clouds tonight…

Good evening from Northside…

After we dropped the dogs off at home, we kept walking…

Down to Tickle Pickle…

For burgers and milkshakes to go…

Our burgers were delicious…

It was a great Friday with plenty of time for quiet reflection. 😀🗓️❤️

It must be Thursday!

Before starting work this morning, we ran down to Camp Washington to get some coffee drinks from Sunny Blue Coffeehouse…

Because it was customer appreciation Thursday again that means free turkey sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sammiches for everyone!

We love Sunny Blu Coffeehouse!

I stopped to peek at CampSITE again…

I find Camp Washington is such an intriguing little neighborhood. 😀☕️🥐❤️

Another Tuesday.

Good morning from Northside…

We walked to get Sidewinder coffee this morning. They’ve made some progress on the Schaeper’s Pharmacy mural at the corner Hamilton and Chase Avenues…

And there was another mural around the corner on Chase Avenue…

Mmmm, Sidewinder Coffee…

Sidewinder coffee is so good…

On our way home, we saw more sidewalk chalk art…

We walked back home and got all our work done. Later, Genifer made orange chicken for dinner and it was delicious…

Good evening from Northside…

It was another pretty good but relatively uneventful Tuesday. 😀🌄☕️🥡❤️

Our Friday morning.

Good morning from Northside…

Before I started work this morning, we ran to Kroger to get some groceries…

Kroger had restocked their Shining Stars…

I noticed some more oddities while we were grocery shopping…

And then we went to Biggby for coffee…

And today we had a Biggby coupon for half off their Bragel breakfast sammiches…

What a great way to start a Friday before getting to work. 😀🛍️☕️❤️

Sunny Blu Coffee is back!

We noticed on the social media that Sunny Blu Coffee had reopened after an extended hiatus during the COVID-19 shutdown. So before we started working this morning, we ran down to Camp Washington to start of the day with some delicious Sunny Blu…

On Thursday mornings from 7-9am is Sunny Blu customer appreciation. They were giving every customer a free turkey sausage egg and cheese croissant with purchase…

You can’t beat that! I’m so happy Sunny Blu is back open. Genifer had a caramel latte and I had an iced hot chocolate. Their stuff is sooo good.

On our way back to the car, I finally got to check out CampSITE…

And when we got home, we tore into our free breakfast sammiches…

YUM! I know where we’ll be next Thursday if we don’t make it back over to Camp Washington before then. 😀☕️🥐❤️

Sunday funday.

This morning we ran to Lowe’s and then to Kroger. We saw this patio set…

The social distancing warnings are kinda getting out of control…

Also out of control are star-shaped waffles…

And then we got Biggby beverages as a reward for running our errands…

We worked on our front yard some more this afternoon…

We added another stepping stone path and some more flowers along our bricks…

And then we slowed down and grilled….

We made BBQ-Jerk chicken, sausages, burgers and first time, we grilled salmon…

The salmon was so good. We stood in the kitchen and ate the whole thing…

It was a pretty good Sunday, a little low-key but still a Sunday funday. 😀🗓️❤️

Our Friday.

Good morning from Northside…

Before we started working this morning, we ran over to Oakley to get gas from the Kroger Fuel Station. We had enough Kroger points to get 30¢ off each gallon of gas…

And then we stopped at Biggby for beverages and I tried their sun-dried tomato, ham and swiss bragel. Their bragel breakfast sammiches are really good…

From Biggby, we ran over to Whole Foods to get some groceries…

For dinner, we made this pizza we got from Whole Foods from dinner tonight…

And good evening from Northside..

That was pretty much our Friday. 😀🗓️❤️

Another good Saturday.

Good morning from Northside…

We stopped at Biggby for our weekend morning coffee…

We ran over to Home Depot to get some more stuff for our front yard…

Like this tomato and citronella…

This was our first trip to Home Depot in a long time. And it was also our last trip to Home Depot after we heard they pledged to back Orangey McLiarface’s bid for re-election in November. I should have guessed it with all the orange at Home Depot. We’ll just be shopping at Lowe’s from now on.

On our way back home, there was a train going by overhead…

We got this cute little shrub and planter at Home Depot with our gift card…

After working on our front yard, we fired up the grill…

Those burgers were from Whole Foods and they were out of this world good.

I think it would be interesting to do a coffee table book about the alleys in Northside…

Good evening from Northside…

We also planted some little purple flowers in front of our bricks…

Our front yard is looking a lot better than it did a year ago…

We had another pretty good Saturday. 😀🗓️❤️

Running around on a Friday.

Before I started work this morning, we ran over to Whole Foods at Rookwood Commons in Hyde Park to get some groceries…

The grocery aisles at Whole Foods are one-way streets…

Someday, we’ll have to try Ninja Squirrel Sriracha…

And some of these Bearitos…

And this spicy chicken noodle soup…

Summer must be here! Because we found a mini-keg of Bell’s Oberon!

Whole Foods has some really good stuff! And speaking of good stuff on our way back home from Whole Foods, we stopped for some delicious Biggby Coffee…
