Thursday nights.

We usually try to stop somewhere on our way home from work on Thursday evenings for a happy hour drink or a bit to eat since Genifer doesn’t have to work on Fridays. More often than not that place is Higher Gravity. They almost always have something fun happening on Thursday and tonight was no exception. Tonight, they tapped a keg of Banana Coconut Dragons Milk Reserve from New Holland Brewing…

It was a pretty incredible beer. So much banana and coconut but not too much. It was just the perfect amount of banana and coconut that paired really well with rich dark chocolate. It was so dang good. Before we headed home, we had a couple of slices of pizza from Chameleon…

They have some really great slices. It was another pretty great Thursday night. And we were home and had the dogs walked before the Thursday night football game came on. That’s a good start to the almost weekend. 😀🍺🍕❤️

Inside our Birchbox: October.

Birchbox is so fun. Every month you get a new box of beauty/grooming samples to try. There’s really no way we would hear about most of these products, let alone get to try them without Birchbox. It’s fun. Here’s what was inside our Birchboxes for October…

Genifer gets her box a lot earlier in the month than I do…

She got Air Repair hydrating serum, Marcelle BB Golden Glow, Malin+Goetz face moisturizer, and Juliette has a gun perfume. My Birchbox comes closer to the end of the month…

In my box, there was Him’s Sleep Gummies, Duke Cannon Thick Hair Shampoo, Ursa Major Essential Face Tonic, Hanz de Fuko Claymation, and Aether Aetheroxyde Eau de Parfum.

My favorites this time were the Hanz de Fuko hair clay, Ursa Major face tonic and the Hims Sleep gummies. It was a really good box this time for me. But getting Birchbox is always really fun. 😀🎁❤️

Trick-or-treat.

Last year, the weather was beautiful for trick-or-treating. This year, it was cold and raining for trick-or-treating tonight in Cincinnati. So instead of sitting on our front porch and handing out candy, we went to Taft’s Brewpourium. They were doing a promotion with their delicious Gourd to Death brown ale…

And we shared some pizza and garlic knots…

We watched our third-floor OscarCam while ate pizza…

There were a surprising number of kids out treat-or-treating even with it being cold and rainy. When we got home, we took the dogs out for a walk. It was surprisingly quiet around the neighborhood…

And there were some good jack-o-lanterns on our street…

We hope everyone had a safe and fun trick-or-treating. We really enjoyed our Halloween. Maybe we’ll hand out candy next year if the weather is better. 😀🎃🍕❤️

Good morning.

The sunrises have been starting to come later and later in the morning and we’ve been leaving for work before the beautiful sunrises we’ve been seeing for the last few weeks actually start to break above the houses…

But the sunrise was gorgeous once I got downtown…

What’s happening?!

When we stopped to get coffee at our beloved Sidewinder this morning, their front door was blocked and we had to go down the alley and through the back door…

We didn’t even know there was a back door. It reminded me of the time we when finally figured out how to get into Collective Espresso in Northside…

It turns out Sidewinder was getting a new front door installed this morning…

We think Sidewinder’s coffee is just the best. And we love stopping to get coffee from Sidewinder in the mornings. But just twice a week because that stuff could get really expensive if you got it every day. 😀☕️❤️

Burgers from Tickle Pickle.

This evening we walked over to Tickle Pickle to get some burgers for dinner…

We love Tickle Pickle’s burgers. Genifer ordered their Nom Petty with Swiss cheese and lotsa mushrooms…

I ordered one of my very favorite burgers around, the Meatallica with bacon, American cheese, fried egg and mayo…

It sooo good. There were some great doodles on their chalkboard tonight…

I loved this tomato and pickle…

And this sad ghost…

Oh… We love Tickle Pickle. 😀🥒🍔❤️

We got to watch this adorable puppy.

We got to watch our friend, Robert’s puppy for the day while he was out of town…

His name is Sabot. Our friends, Chris and Tayler were watching him. But they were out of town at the Kansas City Chiefs game so we picked up Sabot from their house in Northside after last night’s FC|C match, and he hung out with us all day today. Mack and Sabot became best friends really fast…

They would play and wrestle go outside and Sabot would get worn out pretty quick. And then he’d just hop up on the sofa and crash out…

Oscar was not a fan of the puppy. But he’s not really a fan of Mack for that matter…

The puppy liked going on walks with Mack…

And then we went upstairs and he crashed out…

He was so cute and so good. We actually thought about getting a puppy for a little bit but then we decided that two dogs are plenty for us right now. But we’d be willing to watch Sabot anytime. 😀🐾❤️
