We made it through Monday.

Good morning from Northside…

Why do Mondays always have to be so grey and overcast?

Today, I found this on the intertubes…

Yeah. I don’t know either. We didn’t get grilled cheeses. We had BLTs for dinner…

I love BLTs. It’s crazy how such a simple sammich can be so dang good. I put some turkey and cheese on my sammich. So I guess it was actually more of a turkey club sammich if you think about it. But it was really good though.

Still gloomy. But we made it through another Monday. 😀🌄🥪🥓🥬🍅🧀❤️

The laziest Sunday.

We didn’t do a dang thing today. But we did go get to-go Burger King in Finneytown…

We placed our order through the Burger King app. And it turns out there are a bunch of really good deals and coupons on the BK app. We got two Original Chicken Sammiches with two small fries for just $4.99. I mean, we got a bunch of other stuff too. The only bummer part was that you could only use one deal per order. But there were a lot of deals to choose from…

I love BK. It’s probably my favorite fast food. Burger King and Freddy’s. But we never really eat fast food unless we are on road trips. We need to go on more road trips. Because our BK was so good.

We were in the backyard with the dogs, When we went to go inside, Genifer picked up her sweater off the chair and this weird little caterpillar was on it…

Timehopping.

Two years ago, I was recovering from my second hip replacement surgery…

Three years ago today, FC Cincinnati’s magical 2017 US Open Cup run continued as FC|C defeated Chicago Fire on penalties in the Round of 16. It was an amazing night that will forever be etched in Cincinnati sports lore…

Thinking about that night still gives me chills.

And four years ago, we officially moved into our house in Northside…

Unpacking is just the worst. I’m glad we’re all settled into our great big house now. And we said goodbye to our little apartment downtown…

Five years ago, Cincinnati was getting ready to host the MLB All-Star Game…

Thanks for all the wonderful memories, Timehop. 😀🦕🍕❤️

Flowers & March First.

Good morning from Northside. It was pretty grey and overcast…

This morning we ran over to Lowe’s get a few things. I really liked these flowers…

They are so pretty. I want to get some of them. We’ll just have to figure out where we can put them. Maybe we could put them on the side of our house after our backyard fence is replaced in the beginning of September. So maybe next summer?

Later, we headed out to suburbia to have lunch at March First Brewing…

We started with a flight of stouts and porters…

All of the beers in our flight were really tasty. We tried a couple of their seltzers. Genifer had their peach and I had their watermelon. Both of them were really delicious…

And we shared one of their Hawaiian pizzas…

Their Hawaiian pizza was so good. It was kind of unusual because they put pulled pork on top of it. But it worked really well and it was delicious. We really like March First.

We brought home a six-pack of their Astra Bomb Pop seltzer…

It was supposed to taste just like a Bomb Pop. And they nailed it. I swear you could even taste the little wooden stick in the middle. It was really a great seltzer. It was so good that we just sat out on our back porch and drank them all this evening.

It was a pretty good Saturday. 😀🌄🌼🍺🍕❤️

Coasting into the weekend.

Good morning from Northside…

We ran over to Kroger to get a few groceries. I noticed these crazy striped peppers in the produce section. I’ve never seen anything like them before…

And of course, we stopped at Biggby Coffee…

For dinner tonight, Genifer made this vegetable tikka masala over rice…

For just a little pouch you warm up and serve over rice, it was really outstanding. Next time we’re at Whole Foods, we definitely going to have to get some more. It was really surprisingly good for how easy it was to prepare.

And good evening from Northside…

It was a pretty good Friday. 😀🌄☕️🍛❤️

NYPD Pizza party!

Good morning from Northside. It was a very pretty morning…

Looking through my sunglasses, it looked like there was a dust storm or something along the horizon in the distance. I tried to take a photo of it through my glasses…

It was weird that I could only really see it through my glasses. So I wonder if it was my eyes playing tricks on me because I was just reading about the massive cloud of dust from the Sahara Desert that is crossing the Atlantic Ocean.

After work, we had an NYPD Pizza party…

It had really been a while since the last time we had an NYPD Pizza party…

Ohmigosh. It was so delicious. We love NYPD Pizza parties.

Good morning from Northside…

When we got home from our walk, the light was coming through the curtains in the living room and illuminating the vase on our little table. It thought it was very pretty…

We had another one of the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meals for dinner tonight. The Kroger meals don’t usually repeat much at all. But the last time we were at Kroger, they had the Asiago Turkey Meatballs with tomato basil couscous again…

It was another really delicious dinner. We really like the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meal kits a lot.

And good evening from Northside…

Hello from Northside.

Good morning from Northside…

Our little bush had even more blooms on it this morning than it did yesterday…

And good evening from Northside…

There was a guy jumping rope at the top of the steps, and it terrified Mack to his core. I’ve never seen him have such a reaction of pure terror. It was really weird.

After our walk and after Mack regained his composure, we slowed down to grill…

We grilled four burgers from Whole Foods that I forgot to take a photo of, and we grilled two beautiful pieces of marinated salmon…

And we wrapped it up with some chicken sausages…

Oh. We also grilled two ears of corn that I didn’t take a photo of. It was the first time we ever grilled corn. It was a bit of an adventure. But it turned out great. I cut all kernels off the cob to get this amazing little container of gold…
