Our Opening Day in OtR.

After work, we stopped by Platform Brewing’s Locoba at Twelfth and Main Streets to watch the Reds Opening Day baseball game against the Pirates…

We had a couple of Platform’s beer while we watched the game…

Both of the beers were very tasty…

And the Reds won their Opening Day game 5-3 after a four-run seventh inning, capped off by a three-run pinch-hit home run from Derek Dietrich…

And then we walked down Main Street to The Pony…

Where we found that The Pony had Bell’s Habanero Mango Oberon on tap…

And they were giving away Bell’s Oberon chapsticks…

It was a pretty great Opening Day! It’s great to have baseball back! 😀⚾️❤️

After work, we stopped at Queen City Radio again for some March Madness and a couple of delicious Whip burgers…

QCR is always a lot of fun. And the Whip burgers are always so delicious. Also, did I mention that Opening Day is right around the corner…

A Saturday in OtR.

This afternoon we rode the Metro 17 bus into Over-the-Rhine…

We walked through beautiful Washington Park…

And over to one of very our favorite OtR spots, Queen City Radio…

We got a couple delicious of Queen City Radio Whip Burgers and fries…

And we did some St. Patty’s Day celebrating…

QCR had green jello shots. Green jello shots are my favorite…

And then we walked over to Cobblestone OtR. We’d never been there before…

It’s a pretty fun little neighborhood watering hole…

And we stopped by another one of our favorite spots, Sundry and Vice…

We walked by 16-bit but it looked crazy in there…

So we got an Uber and headed for home…

It was another really fun evening in OtR. 😀🍺❤️

Sam Adams Taproom.

This evening we also stopped by to check out the relatively new Sam Adams Taproom on Central Parkway right around the corner from Findlay Market. We drive right by it every day on the way to and from work. This evening we got to see what it’s all about…

It’s a pretty nice place. I could definitely see hanging out here on a regular basis…

We ordered a couple their giant pretzels…

That pretzel was amazing. It might have been one of the best pretzels I’ve ever eaten.

We hung out for a little bit and managed to come in third in a spelling contest they were having that night…

I’ve heard of weeknight trivia contests. But I’ve never heard of spelling bees. It was different. Anyway, we walked away with a $10 gift card. It’s such a fun place…

And their patio is going to be amazing in the summer…

Sam Adams new taproom. Come for the beer. Stay for the pretzels. 😀🍺🥨❤️

Northside Distilling Company.

After work this evening, we finally stopped at Northside Distilling Company on Court Street in Central Business District…

But first we stopped to admire the Artworks Cincinnati Toy Heritage mural…

And back to Northside Distilling Company…

When we first heard about the Northside Distilling Company, we thought it was weird that it was located in Central Business District and not well, in Northside. But after hearing about their story from our bartender, Luke it all made sense…

The Northside Distilling Company started in the way that any good distillery starts, with friends. Some friends began home brewing in the basement, which lead to an interest in distilling. After purchasing a 13 gallon still and two years of paperwork later, Northside Distilling Company was born!

They outgrew the old barn in Northside, and in April 2017, expanded to our current production facility and bar front on Race Street right in the heart of downtown Cincinnati.

Northside Distilling is such a great little place with some really fantastic drinks. 😀🥃❤️

Another super Saturday.

This afternoon I got my haircut with Katie Walters. She is literally the best…

Then since we were already over on the east side, we got to have lunch at Taglio again…

Genifer ordered the Finta…

We started with a side garden salad…

And there it is…

The main event…

Taglio’s deep-dish Detroit-style pizza. This time we ordered the Deluxe…

I love, love, love Taglio’s pizza. And we’re so excited. I don’t know if you’ve heard but Taglio is set to open a second location this spring on 12th Street in Over-the-Rhine. So sometime soonish, we’ll be able to stop and get pizza whenever our hearts desire. After Taglio on our way back home, we stopped at Genifer’s favorite bar in the whole world, Sundry and Vice for a drink…

Sundry and Vice makes the best drinks…

It was another really super Saturday. 😀✂️🍕🥃❤️

Shopping in Over-the-Rhine.

After lunch at Sacred Beast, we did some shopping in OtR. We went to Mica 12v. They had this wall of clocks that was pretty mesmerizing to watch…

Then we went to The Native One. Genifer loves this store…

I wanted to steal these adorable dog toys, and I would take the dog bed too…

We saw this guy on Vine Street…

We went to Elm&Iron…

And then across the street to Elm&Iron Loft…

I think my dream job would be doing the Instagram for Elm&Iron. We stopped into Low Spark for a drink…

And then we walked down to Sundry and Vice for a drink before heading home…

We love their amazing cocktails. It was a really fun afternoon of shopping and hanging out in OtR. 😀🛍️🍹❤️

Lunch at Sacred Beast.

We went down into Over-the-Rhine for some holiday shopping this afternoon but first, we stopped at new diner spot, Sacred Beast for lunch…

It’s really nice inside…

We ordered a bunch of food…

I ordered the crispy chicken with dipping sauces…

We shared a side order of fries…

Genifer ordered a single cheeseburger…

And apparently, the single cheeseburger has TWO patties! The double cheeseburger has three patties. That’s crazy! Oh, and we also added a side order of onion rings…

Holy geez. Everything was so delicious and awesome! We ate every last bite. And we were so stuffed. We can’t wait to come back for more at Sacred Beast. 😀🐐❤️
