We grilled up some burgers this afternoon…
I forgot to take a photo of the finished burgers. But they were delicious. Everything always tastes so good when it comes off the grill.
Later, we walked down to Tickle Pickle for milkshakes…
Genifer tried their vegan cookies and cream milkshake made with coconut milk instead of dairy. And it was really, really good. Rather hilariously, I just got a regular old vanilla milkshake. 😀🍔🍦❤️

Every time we drive up Hamilton Avenue into College Hill, we always comment to each other to look out for Franks. We hope he’s doing okay in his new home. 😀🐢🦕❤️

It started thundering and lightning and then monsoon pouring tonight late night or maybe super early this morning. When I got up to look outside, the streetlight across the street from our house was out, and that made our street pitch black. Until the lightning hit. And it would go white for a split second before being light as day for a second and then back to pitch black…
I probably stood there and watched it for a good five minutes. And the storm was so close. You’d see the lightning flash and a second or two later, there’d be a huge thunder boom. As soon as the storm started to blow over, our street light came back on…
I think everyone was wide away after this storm. 😀⛈️❤️

Today is the first day of September. This afternoon we walked to Django Western Taco for lunch. Django has really great chips and salsa. It’s some of Genifer’s favorite…
Genifer also had a carne asada taco…
I had a fried chicken taco…
And a jerk chicken quesadilla…
I love their jerk chicken quesadilla. It always reminds me of Jamaica. And lunch at Django is always so delicious. Afterward, we stopped at Higher Gravity for a couple of taster flights…

I received notification today that my photos reached a new record on Google Maps…
I’ve been working hard on my Google Maps contributions. I really like Google Maps. It’s just another way to share our experiences and especially another place to share all the photos I take of every dang little thing every day. It’s pretty neat. I like it.

Early this afternoon, we drove out to the suburbs to check out Topgolf West Chester…
I haven’t swung a golf club in a really long time…
So this should be interesting…
Topgolf is pretty amazing and has a full-service bar and restaurant…
We shared a hitting bay with Cleve and Alyssa…
They have a whole bunch of different games you can play. We just played their signature Topgolf game where you score points by hitting your golf ball into any target assigned using Topgolf’s microchip technology…
The more accurate your shot and the farther the distance, the more points you earn…
It was really fun. During a game, each person got to hit 20 balls. While we were playing, we also ate lunch. We had some cheese curds…
Genifer had this turkey wrap…
And I had this short rib grilled cheeses…
Our lunch was delicious. And Topgolf is so much fun. It’s a little on the pricey side but still a whole bunch of fun. We’ll definitely be back very soon for more Topgolf. 😀⛳️❤️

One year ago today, I had my six-week post-op check-up. I still think it’s pretty crazy that all this stuff is in my body. Modern medicine is just nuts…
A year later, and everything feels really good. I don’t think I’m going to be running any marathons any time soon. But I very rarely have any sort of discomfort. I think I’ve kind of figured out what the new normal is for me now. I hope my hips stay feeling good like this for a long time to come. 😀🏥❤️
