Good evening from Northside.

Tonight, we just walked the dogs and fell asleep watching some basketball. We’ve been so sleepy this week. Good evening from Northside. πŸ˜€πŸŒƒβ€οΈ

A foggy morning in Northside.

It was another foggy morning in Northside. πŸ˜€πŸŒβ€οΈ

And it was really foggy downtown too…

Constructing Northside.

Construction has made its way into Northside. They’ve been working on Hamilton Avenue on and off for a while now. And when I was walking home for the bus stop this evening, I noticed the construction was starting to migrate from Hamilton in our direction. At the intersection of Brookside and Pullan…

And on Donaldson around the corner from our house…

Up by the school, someone lost their 5…

Good evening from Northside. πŸ˜€πŸš§5βƒ£πŸŒ„β€οΈ

A pretty amazing accomplishment.

My photos on Google Maps/Local Guides just reached 15 million views

It’s a pretty big accomplishment. And that’s pretty neat. It’s nice to still be popular. Thanks for giving me another way to share my photos, Google! πŸ˜€πŸ—ΊπŸ“·β€

Breakfast for dinner.

Tonight, we had breakfast for dinner again!

Breakfast for dinner is fun, Lois! It’s whimsical. πŸ˜€πŸ₯žβ€οΈ

Good evening from Northside.

Good evening again from our backyard in Northside. The sunsets have been really pretty lately when it hasn’t been all rainy and grey.

2019 GD USA Award winner.

A little over a year ago, the new brand identity I designed for Cincinnati Public Radio was unveiled and started to make its debut around Cincinnati…

It’s been pretty neat to drive around Cincinnati and see the logo I designed on billboards and pop up unexpectedly here and there. Today, I noticed that the logo I designed won a rather prestigious 2019 American Graphic Design Award

This year’s showcase of 600 pieces (winnowed from more than 12,000 entries) reflects the many ways that graphic design shapes business and society, products and services, commerce and culture and causes. Winners run the gamut from print and packaging to internet and interactive, from dream assignments to bread and butter endeavors, from established stars to rising newcomers, from red states to blue.

Pretty neat. Just knowing that I created a logo that will be part of a very vibrant and diverse Cincinnati community for the foreseeable future is an even better feeling.

But the best feeling is having that logo in my portfolio.

Thank you, Graphic Design USA! πŸ˜€πŸ†β€οΈ

Another low-key Sunday.

We got up early this morning to run over to get a few groceries from Trader Joe’s. And I became the mayor of Trader Joe’s on Swarm

And then, we stopped at Biggby again for weekend morning coffee

Genifer is the mayor of Biggby. We just had another pretty lazy day at home. I finished up my project for work. And we took the dogs on a few walks. On one of our walks, we found this little jazzy cool cat on the sidewalk that someone must have lost…

I set him on the base of one of the streetlights. I hope he can find his people again. We watched The Aeronauts on Prime Video. It was pretty good. It was just another pretty low-key Sunday. πŸ˜€β˜•οΈπŸ±β€οΈ

Weekends are always better when you don’t have to work on a bunch of stuff for work. But it’s also pretty nice to have the opportunity to work on some pretty big projects, even if the timelines are kind of ridiculous.

A rainy Cincinnati Saturday.

It was really warm this morning with temperatures hovering in the mid-60s. But it was supposed to rain all day. And it pretty much did.

Before it started raining this morning we got up and ran over to Biggby for weekend morning coffee

We saw on Biggby’s Instagram that they had a BOGO offer just for today…

My new favorite go-to drink is Biggy’s Cocoa Caramella hot chocolate with a little bit of butterscotch added to it. It’s a great drink. And I really prefer hot chocolate to coffee. The caffeine makes me feel too jittery.

We watched some of the soccer this morning. My favorite club, Arsenal drew 1-1 with Crystal Palace and my other favorite club, Leicester City lost to Southampton 2-1. The last time Leicester and Southampton played, Leicester thumped the Saints 9-0.

We hung out upstairs and I worked on some work stuff until the dogs let us know they wanted to go on another dog walk…

Later when it was time for the other football, we took the Taft’s gift cards we received for Christmas around the corner to the Brewpourium for some pizza and wings. Taft’s had a peanut butter version of their Maverick chocolate porter on tap…

And it was really terrific. We usually get Taft’s Cherrywood BBQ wings but tonight we tried their buffalo wings. And they really good too. Pretty spicy but really good. So good, in fact, we had already eaten half of the wings before I remembered to take a photo…

And we shared a small pizza with pepperoni, sausage and banana peppers…

Taft’s pizzas are so good! When we were leaving, the Brewopurium was getting crazy…

Apparently, there was going to be a comedy show in the back of the Brewpourium. When we got home, we walked the dogs around the block again in the rain…

We watched a pretty dumb movie on Prime Video and then fell asleep while we watched the rest of the other football playoff game. It was a pretty good Saturday. It would have better if I didn’t have to work on a bunch of work stuff. πŸ˜€β˜•οΈπŸΎπŸ•πŸ”πŸŒ§οΈβ€οΈ
