It was pretty crazy to have snow on April 21st.
But later this evening, the sun had come out and all the snow had melted away…
The street was very steamy…

But this evening, the clouds moved in and brought some sprinkles…
When we got to the top of the hill at the end of our street, it went from sprinkling…
To raining…
And a good rainy evening from Northside…
Apparently, they’ve started working on the house at the end of our street again…
And we had pesto tortellini for dinner…
It ended up being a pretty and rainy Tuesday. 😀🌄☂️🍽️❤️

I had an early meeting this morning and when we took the dogs around the block, school was already in session. And as a result, I didn’t get my morning photo from the top of the hill…

We had another one of the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meals. This one was Pork Pho Noodle Bowl with snow peas and carrots…
It was another terrific dinner! We really like the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meal kits a lot.
There was good stuff in my Timehop today. It’s a good day whenever photos of Milan show up in my Timehop…
Speaking of ducks… Do you remember the Ride the Duck duck boats that used to run around downtown? I wonder what ever happened to them?
And two years ago, it was my last day at someplace I stayed entirely too long…

It was a beautiful Sunday morning…
Good morning from Northside…
We headed down to The Banks for another Sunday Reds baseball game…
We stopped at Jefferson Social for a bite to eat before the game…
Before we headed into the ball park, we stopped for a DORA drink…
The Reds were playing Cleveland. The Reds could sweep the three game series with a win today…
We had standing room only tickets. So we just kind of wandered around the ballpark…
We’d watch a bit of the game from here and a bit from there…
The Reds lost to the Indians 6-3. But it was just amazing to be back at the ball park again…
We rode the streetcar up into Over-the-Rhine again…
We stopped for a post game drink at Sundry & Vice…
It’s one of Genifer’s favorites…
We walked up to Holiday Spirits…
And from there, we called it a day and hopped in an Uber home…
And then we took the dogs around the block…

Good morning from Northside…
This afternoon my very favoritest soccer team, Arsenal played the second leg of their Europa League tie against Slavia Prague in Prague.
The match was the first game since Slavia Prague’s Ondrej Kudula was found guilty of racially abusing Rangers’ Glen Kamara last month and was duly banned for 10 matches by UEFA.
The official statement said they decided “to suspend SK Slavia Praha player, Ondrej Kudela, for the next 10 UEFA club and representative team competition matches for which he would otherwise be eligible to play, for racist behavior.”
Ahead of the match, Slavia Prague players refused to take the knee in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. Arsenal striker and match captain, Alexander Lacazette chose to move a number of steps ahead of his teammates to stare down his opponents while taking the knee…
Given the situation, Lacazette’s stance was particularly poignant. And it’s very a powerful image. There is no place for racism in football nor wider society.
Arsenal scored three goals in an astonishing six-minute flurry. The Gunners ended up winning the match 4-0 with Lacazette netting a brace to knock Slavia Prague out of the tournament 5-1 on aggregate.
Later, we saw another patch of weeds that looked like a stylized little mini forest…

My parents stopped in town for the evening on their way home from a long road trip out west. We went to Taft’s Brewpourium for dinner…
Genifer just had her nails down earlier in the day…
Taft’s had a jumbo shrimp special tonight. We shared those and loaded tots. And we brought a large Taft’s pizza home with us…
It was wonderful to get to see my parents, even if it was just for a quick visit this evening. 😀🌄⚽️🌲🍕❤️

It was nice enough this evening that we got to hang out in our backyard for a bit…
Then we ordered Dang! Quesadilla through DoorDash…
We tried a brisket quesadilla, kids (plain) quesadilla and a veggie quesadilla…
And they were all really tasty. We’ll definitely be ordering quesadillas again from Dang!
It turned out to be a pretty nice Tuesday. I hope Genifer had a good birthday.
