It was time to break out Oscar’s dinosaur costume. We were happy that he got to wear his adorable dinosaur costume for a little bit…
These pictures really don’t show it but Oscar gets so mad when he has to wear his Halloween costume. We got a few photos and then it came right off. He wears his dinosaur costume just long enough to get a photo every year…
We tinkered briefly with the idea of handing out candy tonight. But it was sooo cold and sooo rainy that we decided to go to Taft’s Brewpourium to eat delicious pizza and BBQ chicken wings…
Going to Taft’s Brewpourium on Halloween is kind of becoming a yearly tradition. We did the same exact thing last year to have a Taft’s Gourd to Death…
Taft’s pizza is so delicious. Eating pizza was a much better idea than sitting out in the cold and rain, handing out candy to strangely dressed children. We sat there at Taft’s just stuffing our faces full of pizza and BBQ wings while we watched our birds-eye view of our street from our third-floor WyzeCam…
Not surprisingly, there weren’t a ton of people out and about. Thanks for all the great memories, Timehop! 😀🦕🍬🎃❤️

Do you remember Frank? He’s the turtle we rescued from getting squished while he was trying to cross a very busy Hamilton Avenue. These photos of him popped up today in my Timehop…
Every time we drive up Hamilton Avenue into College Hill, we always comment to each other to look out for Franks. We hope he’s doing okay in his new home. 😀🐢🦕❤️

One year ago today, I had my six-week post-op check-up. I still think it’s pretty crazy that all this stuff is in my body. Modern medicine is just nuts…
A year later, and everything feels really good. I don’t think I’m going to be running any marathons any time soon. But I very rarely have any sort of discomfort. I think I’ve kind of figured out what the new normal is for me now. I hope my hips stay feeling good like this for a long time to come. 😀🏥❤️

One year ago today, I had the first of my three hip surgeries…
And where they still have their occasional aches and pains, both hips are 100% better than they were before their replacement surgeries. Thanks, Timehop!😀🦕❤️

Today on the one year anniversary of the darkest day in U.S. Soccer history, the US Soccer Federation released this statement…
“Today we look forward. With the march towards 2022 underway and the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America as our guidepost, the U.S. Men’s National Team has embarked on a new journey. The hallmarks of the culture remain, with perseverance, grit and dogged determination fueled by the pride to represent the United States and each and every one of you. We take nothing for granted. Blah. Blah. Blah. The National Team has a whole bunch of bright talented youngsters that are starting to emerge from the ranks. But they still haven’t even hired a new coach for the National Team. I hope things start to get better soon for our team, and they can get thing s back to where they were and then start figuring out how to take things to the next level. But they sure are taking their sweet time. 😀🇺🇸⚽️❤️

One year ago today, we got this awesome Twister selfie at the Cyclones game…
Thanks for remembering, Timehop! We haven’t made it to one Cyclones hockey game yet this season. We’re hoping to get to at least one game in March now that I’m actually able to walk a better. And we definitely can’t wait to get back our normal schedule of Cyclones hockey games next season once my hips are good again. 😀👇📷🏒❤️
