A big sports Saturday.

Dang! It was another beautiful morning…

Good morning from Northside…

And we walked down the path by the school to look at the sunrise again…

We drove over to Oakley to go to the grocery. But first, we stopped to fuel up Genifer’s Audi. The sun was just coming up over the buildings…

And then it was on to the grocery…

Kroger was completely sold out of both the panda bear and the train…

So somebody does actually buy them. I wonder if they are any good? Someday, I’ll manage to sneak them into our cart.

Kroger did have a very nice assortment of great balloons today…

With it being so close to Halloween, I almost got this Monster POP!

And then we got our Saturday morning Mad Llama coffee…

Good evening from Northside…

Genifer made a slow-cooker pot roast for dinner tonight…

I made mine into an open-faced roast beef sammich…

And it was awesome! I’d been craving a sammich like this for a whlie now.

Mack kept bringing me his football. He must really be ready to kickoff another season of Michigan football as well…

Later this evening, all my teams kicked off at exactly the same time…

On the TV, I had with my Louisville City hosting Tampa Bay Rowdies the USL Eastern Conference finals. On the iPad, I had my Minnesota United versus our FC Cincinnati. And on the iPod, I had the opener of the Michigan football season as they played away to Minnesota.

LouCity lost 2-1. MNUFC stole one from FC|C 1-0 on a late scramble in the 90+2′, and Michigan whooped Minnesota 49-24. I guess two out of three isn’t bad. Louisville had a wonderful season that included a run of 13 games unbeaten, with eight straight wins that ended with tonight’s loss. 😀🌄❤️

UPDATE: USL made the determination that the season will conclude after Tampa Bay Rowdies and Phoenix Rising FC each progressed through the playoffs to win the Eastern Conference and Western Conference titles, respectively. USL announced that the 2020 USL Championship Final will not be played after multiple persons within the clubs tested positive for COVID-19. The final was scheduled for Sunday, November 1. Tampa Bay and Phoenix will explore the possibility of a 2021 Season Kickoff game between the two clubs prior to the start of the 2021 Championship season.

Wow. A season without a champion. 2020 just keeps getting better.

An unexpected visitor.

There have been some really pretty sunrises lately…

Good morning from Northside…

The days are definitely getting shorter…

It’s Friday! To celebrate, we shared our crowler of Vanilla Oatbama oatmeal stout from Presidential Brewing up in Portage, Michigan…

Their beers were really good.

Somehow a praying mantis made its way into our house…

We wanted to get it outside before Mack tried to eat it…

I think Praying Mantis are pretty neat. And we don’t seen them very often. I think this is the third one we’ve seen since we moved into our house. And it’s the second one we’ve seen recently.

After all that excitement, we finished The Haunting at Bly Manor. It was good. But not at all what we were expecting it to be. We were thinking ghosts and things that go bump in the night but it turned out to be just a pretty tragic, sad love story. The best part was the little girl Flora always proclaiming everything to be “perfectly splendid.” 😀🌄⛅️🍺🪲📺❤️

A Thursday evening treat.

It was very foggy this Thursday morning…

Good morning from Northside…

The Champions League got underway on Tuesday. And Europa League kicked off this afternoon. I talked myself into subscribing to CBS All-Access for $5.99/mo. Last season, I was paying $2.99 for each Arsenal Europa League match through B/R Live. The way I see it, CBS All-Access is actually saving me money each month. Now I can watch ALL the Europa League matches and ALL the Champions League matches. That’s a pretty good deal if you ask me. While I was working this afternoon, I listened to Leicester’s 3-0 win against Zorya, Arsenal’s 2-1 win against Rapid Vienna and Milan’s 3-1 win over Celtic.

After I was done working for the day and after the soccer matches were over, we walked over to Tickle Pickle to pick up dinner…

Tickle Pickle’s burgers are so good. I love the Breadzepplin burger. Genifer’s go-to has been the Eagles chicken sammich. But mostly, we both really love their milkshakes. They milkshakes are just amazing. It was a wonderful Thursday evening treat.

After dinner, we took the dogs on their evening walk…

I’m happy that tomorrow is Friday. For being just a short week, it’s sure has felt pretty long. 😀🌄🌫️🍔❤️

Wednesday Pad Thai.

Good morning from Northside. They sun was out this morning…

It’s beginning to look a lot like fall in pockets around Northside…

From atop the hill at the end of our street, it looks like the colors are just starting to change around the rest of our neighborhood…

We tried a Pad Thai meal kit for dinner tonight…

It was really good. Surprisingly good. For dessert, we tried an Apple Pie Kit Kat…

It tasted just like apple pie but in Kit Kat form. I thought it was pretty good. Genifer didn’t like it at all.

I was putting the trash out for collection and the sky looked really pretty…

Hello moon…

Pizza for a dreary day.

It was very dreary, grey and rainy morning…

Good morning from Northside…

This morning I got to start eating the Sweetwater’s long johns that I brought home from with us from Kalamazoo. I brought home two vanilla-filled and chocolate-filled long johns…

Their donuts are just so amazing.

For dinner tonight, we got ordered pizza from the Dominos in Clifton…

We usually get out Dominos pizza from Finneytown. We didn’t realize there was one in Clifton. Clifton is so much closer to us…

Genifer like the hand-tossed with pepperoni and I like the pan with sausage…

And we got Dominos Marbled Cookie Brownie™…

Dominos was really good stuff. It definitely hit the spot.

And good evening from Northside…

We watched game one of the World Series. I hope Tampa Bay beats the Dodgers. And that was our rainy Tuesday. 😀🌄☁️🍩🍕🌧️❤️

This morning, there were some pretty little grey clouds above the hill at the end of our street…

It was really pretty this morning but it got kind of grey by the evening…

And good evening from Northside…

Later this evening, we ran Oscar and Bear out West Chester to stay with Geri for the weekend. She is going to watch two of our guy’s while we go up to Michigan to visit my parents. On our way back to Northside, we stopped at Walgreens to get a few things for our trip…

When we got home, we packed up some stuff to take with us on our adventure up north tomorrow. 😀🌄☁️🐾❤️

Another day of pretty skies.

It was another very pretty morning…

We walked to the end of the path atop the hill at the end of our street to watch the sunrise this morning…

Good morning from Northside…

As soon as I’m done working for the day, we’ve been trying to go in the backyard to play ball in our backyard while it’s still light outside. We collected all the tennis balls and put then in this bin. I didn’t realize that we’d accumulated so many tennis balls…

I like this bin because it has open slats across the bottom. Hopefully when it rains, the rain water will rinse some of the dirt off the balls and then drain away.

Bear does an amazing job of bringing his tennis ball back to you. He wants to play with only one ball the entire time we’re in the backyard. If you try to throw him a different ball, he’ll wait for the ball he’s been playing with. Mack is just the opposite. Mack will chase a ball, leave it and then come running back so you can throw him a different tennis ball…

They really love their tennis balls. Oscar doesn’t really care about tennis balls.

They also love their evening walks…

And good evening from Northside…

We finished Ratched on Netflix. It was pretty good, a bit odd but pretty good.

But gosh. It was almost 80º today and the skies were just so pretty all day. I’d definitely take days like today everyday. 😀🌄🐾🎾❤️

Today felt like autumn.

The sky was very pretty this morning…

It’s still been pretty warm with temperature in the mid-to-upper 70s and low 80s. But today was a little bit cooler with a high of just 70º…

Genifer made an Autumn Sausage Veggie & Apple Sheet Pan for dinner…

With Stove Top stuffing! I love Stove Top stuffing…

Thankfully, it’s finally Stove Top stuffing season again. Stuffing makes it feel like autumn. Did I mention I love stuffing?

Good evening from Northside…

And that was our Tuesday. We watched the the Rays go 3-0 up on the cheaters from Houston. And the Braves took a 2-0 lead over the Dodgers. A Rays versus Braves World Series wouldn’t be too bad. 😀🌄⚾️❤️

Hello from Northside.

It was another dreary and grey Monday…

Good morning from Northside…

For dinner tonight, we had another one of the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meals for dinner tonight. This one was Pork Medallions and Mushroom Cream with garlic Parmesan green beans…

And it was another delicious dinner. The pork medallions were so tender and I love anything with a mushroom sauce. And those Parmesan green beans were just dynamite. We really like the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meal kits a lot.

Good evening from Northside…

And we played ball in our backyard until it started to get too dark…

We started watching Ratched on Netflix. And it started pouring…

So it ended up being the perfect night to Netflix & chill. It’s been so grey lately. At least it rained. Maybe it’ll get some of the grey out of it’s system and the sun will make an appearance again sometime soon. 😀🌄☁️🌧️📺❤️
