Checking out the WyzeCams.

We had an extra WyzeCam just laying around the house so I took it to work with me and pointed out the window at my desk so we could watch the sky over Carew Tower

It’s a pretty nice view. Good morning from downtown Cincinnati. 😀📷🏙️❤️

Sunday funday.

This afternoon we went downtown got an Uber to see this afternoon’s Reds game…

They were playing the Pirates in a doubleheader today…

We had tickets way back at the beginning of the season for the Reds second game…

But it got rained out which led to the FC|C monsoon game

There’s this new outpost bar out by the Wiffle ball field at GABP…

They’re always adding something new at the ballpark…

And the Reds lost 8-5. But of course, they won the second game 8-1 with a Jose Iglesias grand slam in a six-run first inning. And Puig and Double D went back-to-back in the 7th. Figures. After the game, we passed through Taste of Cincinnati…

Soooo many people. We also walked by our old apartment building. They built a whole brand new dog area in front of Sycamore Place…

It looked really nice. It smelled a bit like dog pee when we were walked by but it was a much better use of the space than when it was just a silly ten space parking lot…

And we kept walking up in OtR to have lunch at The Pony

And then we hopped in an Uber and headed for home. It was another really fun Sunday. 😀⚾️🐴❤️

Camp Washington Chili.

Today, we stumbled across Camp Washington Chili

Camp Washington Chili is a fixture in the Cincinnati Chili scene. Since 1940, Camp Washington Chili has been proudly serving up chili from the one and only Camp Washington Chili Parlor! I knew of them because they sponsored the coney eating contests on Fountain Square. And their coneys are really good. We hadn’t been looking very hard for Camp Washington Chili or anything. I knew it was over by us somewhere. But I wasn’t exactly sure where it was. And today, we just drove right by it. I learned that Camp Washington is just south of Northside. It’s tucked in between the I-75 to the east and Mill Creek to the West.

Now that we know exactly where Camp Washington Chili is, we’ll have to stop and give it a try sometime soon. 😀🧀🌭❤️

Slow down and grill.

We drove out to suburbia this afternoon to have a Memorial Day cook-out with Geri…

Steaks were just the tip of the iceberg. There were also cheeseburgers and hot dogs and all sorts of sides. Soooo much food. It was a good time. It’s always really good to see her. And one the way home, we saw this double rainbow…

And it stuck around until we got on the highway to head home…

Pretty cool. 😀🇺🇸🥩🌈❤️

Another Northside snail.

We saw another Northside sidewalk snail this morning when we were out on our morning dog walk…

I wonder where the snails come from and where they are headed to? 😀🐌❤️

#TBT Pause for paws.

I remember how much Milan loved walking over to Fido Field downtown. He would get so excited. As soon as we got inside the dog park, he would run up the hill and go wait up by the fence for cars to come around the bend on Gilbert Avenue and then he would race them down the fence line until he ran out of dog park. He would do that over and over every time we went to Fido Field…

Then he would go home and crash out so hard…

This photo popped up in my Timehop as well…

Today, Oscar was just pretty dang lazy…

But just as dang cute. What a little sleepy head.

Always remembering all the good times with the bud dog. 😀🐾🦕❤️

Northside at night.

When we got home from the soccer game, we took the dogs on a walk around the block. I think there is something really beautiful about our neighborhood at night…

I love our neighborhood. 😀🌃📷❤️

FC Cincinnati versus Red Bulls.

The last time we saw the MLS version of Red Bulls, they were abruptly ending the magical US Open Cup run of our FC|C in the semi-finals back in 2017. We were hoping that the new look, big-time MLS version of FC Cincinnati could exact a little revenge in their very first MLS league encounter at Nippert Stadium with the team from Harrison, New Jersey. FC|C played away to Red Bulls back in at the end of April and lost 1-0. And with the way this season of Cincinnati soccer is shaping up, we really weren’t holding our breath…

And at the half, it was still 0-0…

It was a really beautiful night for a soccer match…

And Red Bulls ended up pulling off a 2-0 win with goals in the 78th and 90th+1 minutes. 😀❤️⚽️

And a cherry on top.

On our way home from work tonight, we stopped at Northside Distilling Company for a happy hour drink…

I’m in love with their White Russian called The Dude. It’s one of my favorite drinks in all of Cincinnati. And it was an Old Fashioned for Genifer. She love’s a good Old Fashioned…

I finally got a few decent photos of one of the cherries for our drink being carmelized…

Northside Distilling Company makes some pretty outstanding cocktails. 😀🥃❤️

Dream big & Fly high.

I ran out to get something for lunch. (I got a caesar salad from MidiCi at Race and Sixth Streets. It was really good.) On my way back to the office, I noticed this new-to-me mural for the very first time…

I don’t if it’s really a true mural though. It kind of looked like it was painted on board or some sort of substrate and then mounted to the building’s facade. Nonetheless, it’s pretty neat. 😀🖌️🎨🐷❤️
