We made it! It’s Skyline time!
All we had to do was make it through today, and tomorrow we’d be off to North Carolina for the week…
We walked down the path on the top of the hill to watch the sunrise…
There was a very faint pink streak across the sky this morning…

We finally made it through our day. We wrapped up all our lose ends and I finished up our projects the best we could. After work, we ran a couple of errands to get a few things for our trip. And on our way home, we stopped to get Skyline carry-out for dinner tonight…
Skyline is sooo good. It’s pretty annoying how early it gets dark now…

We are pretty much all packed and set to go on our road trip tomorrow morning. We just have to drop off Mack at the kennel and then we are on our way! 😀🌄🧀🌭❤️

Our Election Day.
We got up extra early this morning to walk over to North Presbyterian Church on Hamilton Avenue in Northside so Genifer could vote…
I dropped off my absentee ballot at the Board of Elections last week.
The polls opened at 6:30am this morning. We got there just a little before 6:00am and Genifer was second in line…
As we stood waiting for the polls to open, the line steadily grew behind us…
Genifer got to cast her vote. And we were over at Sidewinder to get coffee by 6:45am…
Sidewinder had cinnamon rolls this morning too…
My office was closed today for the election so everyone could vote. And Genifer had a pretty light day with her work. So later, we walked back down Hamilton Avenue to Blue Jay for lunch…
Genifer had a five-way and fries for lunch…
And I had Blue Jay’s chicken tender sammich with cheese…
I love that dang sammich. Blue Jay is so good. We don’t eat there enough.
We enjoyed the rest of our Election Day by not doing much of anything. We played in our backyard for a bit…
And we went on our evening walk around the block…

For dinner, I ate a carry out five-way and a cheese coney I got from Blue Jay…
This evening we went out of our way to avoid any news about the Election. I don’t think we’re going to know the final results any time soon. I just hope everything turns out for the best and that competent adults start running the country again. 😀🌄🗳️☕️🍝🌭❤️

A Monday without rain?
This is the first Monday in a while that it hasn’t been rainy and grey…
It was actually a very pretty morning…

I made myself a buffalo chicken grilled cheese for lunch…
It kind of annoying how it gets dark so early now…

We got to bed early tonight because we’re going to get up early to try tomorrow morning to vote. Other than that, it was just another Monday. 😀🌄🐔🥪❤️

An extra hour of Sunday.
It’s hard to believe that today is November 1st…
It was pretty nice getting an extra hour of sleep this morning…
Good morning from Northside with an extra hour later…
This morning we made these pillsbury Chocolate Chip Sweet Biscuits for breakfast…
They’d become somewhat of a running joke. Every time we were at the grocery, I’d point them out to Genfiier and ask if she wanted to get them. She’s always say no. And I just kept asking every trip for months. Finally the last time we were at the grocery, they were on sale. I put them in our cart and here we are…
They were pretty good. They were remarkably similar to the Pillbury cinnamon rolls. Since the oven was already warm, Genifer made some Snoopy cookies too…
Of course, I focus on the one cookie that’s upside-down. And we learned how to draw Snoopy heads…
And then we just hung out for the rest of the afternoon…

We had spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. Before dust cheese…
After dust cheese…
After dust cheese with garlic bread…
Gosh. I love spaghetti and meatballs with dust cheese and garlic bread.
We went back out in the backyard to play some more…
After we eat dinner and go outside, we give the dogs their evening treat of a couple of hot dogs chunks so Mack can get his allergy medicine…
Hot dogs might just be the favorite part of Mack’s day.
And I captured this horrible photo of tonight’s full moon…
Any time you can get an extra hour of Sunday, it’s a good thing.
Having just watched Maleficent on Friday night, we watched Maleficent 2 tonight. It was another pretty good movie. 😀🌄⏰🍪🍝📺❤️

My new Wyze Band.
My Fitbit Charge3 has been acting up lately and slowly dying. The screen has been gradually fading from the center out, making it impossible to read the time or any of the other information the watch provides…
I contacted Fitbit about this. Their response was to offer me 35% off the purchase of a Fitbit because my Charge 3 was first activated in December of 2018. And it seems that the Fitbit’s limited warranty, which covers the device for one year, has expired. Even with their discount, a new Fitbit would be over $90. It’s seems like a lot of money for something that doesn’t even last two years.
We like our $20 WyzeCams so I decided to try their Wyze Band instead…
The Wyze Band is just $24.99. That sounds like a much better value to me….
After setting up my Wyze Band and playing with it for a while. It doesn’t everything my Fitbit used to do. So I’ll be seeing you, overpriced Fitbit.

It’s funny because it’s so true. Everything was going along just swimmingly and then, BAM! Hello, November. I really can’t believe it’s already November. This year has been so messed up.

Our Halloween.
Halloween should’ve been perfect this year. It fell on a Saturday, with a full moon and with daylight savings time everyone got an extra hour of sleep the next day. But unfortunately, 2020 had other ideas.
Halloween got off to a very frosty start…
Good morning from Northside…
And for the first time this fall, we had to scrape our windows this morning…
After the windows defrosted, we ran over to the grocery…
And then it was on to Mad Llama for Saturday morning Halloween coffee…
After Michigan State shocked Michigan, we rolled over to Taft’s Brewpourium for a delicious pizza dinner…
As we were walking across the parking lot, a train was rolling by…
Taft’s had a Halloween special this weekend…
We had a Maple vs Amburana double imperial stout before we ordered….
While we drank our beer, we watched our street view WyzeCam to see if there were many trick-or-treaters out and about…
And it looked like there were a few on our street…
There’s our cotton candy….
And there’s our pizzas…
After we devoured our delicious pizza, we took the dogs on a walk and couldn’t help but admire the Halloween full moon…
