Burgers to start the weekend.

We always let the dogs out in the backyard before we take them on a walk…

Our flowers in our front yard are looking really pretty…

I’ve been pulling weeds everyday. Hopefully someday our little front yard will be weed-free and the clover will just take over. Speaking of flowers, how pretty is this one that we saw on our dog walk this evening?

And good evening from Northside…

After work was done and after we walked the dogs tonight, we walked down to Tickle Pickle to get burgers and shakes for dinner….

Tickle Pickle makes vegan shake that Genifer just loves. I’ve been in love with their regular strawberry milkshakes…

Genifer ordered the Eagles chicken sammich…

And I ordered my Buns ‘n Roses burger with extra cheese…

Tickle Pickle is delicious. And it was a great way to start the weekend. 😀🌄🌻🍔❤️

The last of the cupcakes.

Good morning from Northside…

I don’t remember what we had for dinner. But we finished the cupcakes…

It’s always a little sad when you eat your last cupcake.

Good evening from Northside…

And we played ball in the backyard…

We watched the Grizzlies beat the Bucks by 13 to officially clinched a spot in the Western Conference play-in game against the Portland Trailblazers. It was probably the Grizzlies best win of the bubble. I like the Grizzlies. I think they have the best logo in the NBA. But then again, I just really like bears. So I might be biased. And we watched the Phoenix Suns finish a perfect 8-0 in the NBA bubble as they defeated our Mavericks, 128-102. I’ve been really getting into the NBA bubble games. The officiating has been horrible as ever. But it’s been fun to watch the basketball. 😀🌄🐾🏀❤️

79000 check-ins.

This morning I tallied my 79000th check-in on my Swarm…

I still really like my check-ins on Swarm! 😀⭐️❤️

But I think I’m going to be done with Swarm when I hit 80,000 check-ins, if not sooner. They made some changes to the app because of COVID-19 and it’s just not nearly as much fun anymore. We’ve had a good run Swarm.

Great sports… for a Tuesday.

We were trying to find the Reds game on TV tonight. But on Fox Sports Ohio was game one of the Stanley Cup playoffs between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Columbus Blue Jackets. And the Reds were coming on as soon as the hockey game was finished. The problem was the hockey game became an epic five overtime thriller,..

I’m not a huge NHL hockey fan. But it was crazy that every time we tried to turn on the Reds game tonight, this hockey game was still going. We came back from walking the dogs, still going. We played ball and went upstairs, still going. And finally, Tampa Bay scored to take game one from Columbus in what turned out to be the fourth longest hockey game in the NHL history despite the Jackets goalie’s NHL record 85 saves…

And then it was time for the finals of the MLS is Back Tournament…

And thankfully, Portland Timbers defeated Orlando City to lift the trophy…

I don’t mind the Portland Timbers. They’re probably my third favorite MLS team. But I do not care for Orlando City and I especially don’t care for Orlando City’s “star” player, Nani. I didn’t like him when he played in England for Manchester United, and I certainly don’t like now. Not at all. Not one bit. He’s just an entirely unlikable player. I’m really happy he didn’t win.

But other than Nani, the MLS is Back Tournament was so much fun. I watched every single match. And it was really terrific to have three soccer matches to watch each day for a couple of weeks during the group play. It was a great tournament. And I already miss it. I feel like I’m going through MLS is Back soccer tournament withdrawl right now. I hope they do some version of a tournament like this every season.

It was a really great sports night… for a Tuesday. 😀🏒⚽️🏆❤️

A wonderful start for Tuesday.

The sunrise this morning was a really pretty one…

I bet Mack was wondering what the heck I kept looking at…

And here’s what it looked like when I shared it on Instagram…

It was pretty morning in our backyard too…

And good morning from Northside…

When Genifer went to lunch with her coworkers at Taste of Belgium, she also brought home a bag of blueberry Belgian waffles, and those waffles are delicious…

It was pretty this afternoon in our backyard as well…

While I was working this afternoon, Mack wandered into our office and set one of his squeaky toys on my leg and left…

And Bear was crashed out in Mack’s crate in our office all afternoon…

For dinner tonight, we had another one of the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meals for dinner tonight. This one was Italian Sausage Penne with sun-dried tomato cream and sweet corn…

It was another really delicious dinner. We really like the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meal kits a lot.

After dinner, we shared a giant chocolate chip cookie that Genifer brought home with her from Currito…

Oscar likes laying under our dining room table while he waits patiently for us to finish eating dinner so he can go on his walk…

And good evening from Northside…

And then we wrapped up our Tuesday back in our backyard again to play more ball…

We had a pretty darn good Tuesday. 😀🗓️❤️

Slow down and Sunday.

Happy Sunday! Good morning from Northside…

Here’s another photo our new hose, still without any leaks…

Genifer made cupcakes this afternoon…

But before we ate cupcakes, we took the time to slow down and grill…

We were about to grill up a whole bunch of good stuff…

Why does everything always taste sooo good off the grill?

Recently, we stopped buying hamburger and hot dog buns. We could never eat them all and we would end up throwing a bunch of them away. We found this sweet Hawaiian bread that we really like. It’s really tasty. We’ve just been using that bread for just about much everything. And now, we don’t waste a bunch of buns!

After we finished eating our grilled feat, we went back out in our backyard to play some ball. It was a really pretty afternoon…

Oscar doesn’t really play a lot in the backyard. He prefers to go on walks instead of running around in the backyard. The only time he really runs in the backyard is if a squirrel wanders into our backyard. Mostly, he just likes to sit on the patio and take it all in. But sometimes, he’ll leave his patio and go out and sit out in the sun…

Later, we went on our evening dog walk…

A really good Saturday.

It was a really pretty Saturday morning…

Hello moon…

Good morning from Northside…

Our replacement hose showed up and it works great with no leaks…

And then we went to Kroger for groceries…

Kroger had some adorable balloons today…

And afterward, we stopped at Mad Llama for some Saturday morning coffee…

There was train crossing over the road on our way home…

We mowed the weeds in our backyard…

Three weeks until our fence gets replaced and then we can start working on making our backyard look more respectable…

We got this delicious fruit at the grocery…

Good evening from Northside…

We played ball in our backyard for another half hour…

Those dogs play ball until they can’t play ball anymore…

Mack wandered off in the middle of the night. And I found him on our office WyzeCam all crashed out in the office…

Brown and Cony Life.

I’ve pretty much gone off the Instagrams of late. But still, I scroll through now and then to check out a few of my favorite Instagram accounts. One of my favorites for a while now has been Milk & Mocha and another of my favorites has quickly become Brown and Cony Life.

Brown is a bear and Cony is a bunny. And their Instagram follows their interactions that are just so cute and their adventures are so random and everyday normal life. It’s also very Asian and the translated captions are pretty funny sometimes. But I just find it so cute and so funny.

Like when Brown & Cony went out to eat and the comic follows Cony’s whole routine to capture all her photos of the outing to upload to her social media…

And then the post the next day was a drawing of Cony’s photo collage…

It’s funny to me because it’s just what everyone does. Brown & Cony Life is pretty cute. And they upload a new post every night at midnight. 😀📷🐻🐰❤️

An early autumn Wednesday?

So far the weather has been almost autumn-like all week. It was only supposed to reach a high of 79º today. This morning was chilly enough to wear a hoodie while we were taking the dogs on their morning walk. And it felt like we should be getting ready for college football this weekend. (Like there’s going to be college football this year.)

Still, it was a very pretty morning…

And good morning from Northside…

I realized that I never posted any photos of our freshly painted living room…

The living room turned out so nice. Genifer did such an amazing job with the painting! We’re looking to get a new sofa with a new, bigger TV and TV stand for our living room so we can hang out in our living room more.

We had BLTs for dinner again. We love BLTs. I had a BLT wrap. It was terrific…

Genifer went out to lunch at Taste of Belgium with coworkers today. And she brought home a oatmeal raisin cookie and brownie for us to share for dessert…
