Shining Stars & BDubs.

This morning we went to the grocery store. I don’t ever really get to go the grocery all that much. It was just a pretty normal trip to the store. But look at how cute this space bear was…

Those Shining Stars came home with us. We also noticed these moonshine sausages…

I wonder wat those are like. And there were these completely plant-based sausages that I want to try once it’s time to slow down and grill again…

I wonder if they’re good. Speaking of good after the grocery, we stopped at BDubs. It was some of the best BDubs that I’ve had in quite a while. Genifer ordered boneless wings and fries…

We shared some mini corn dogs. I had the crispy BBQ chicken sammich…

And I got a free snack-sized wing for my birthday through their app…

It was really good stuff. 😀🐻🐔❤️

Super Wolf Blood Moon.

Tonight, the moon passed through Earth’s shadow in the only total lunar eclipse of 2019. The next total eclipse won’t happen until 2021, and we’ll have to wait until 2022 for a blood moon to be visible again from North America. A blood moon is when the moon goes into eclipse and turns blood red. Tonight’s total lunar eclipse also occurred while the moon was very near it’s closest point to Earth this month, making it a supermoon. And since January’s full moon is also known as a Wolf Moon, that’s led some people to call tonight’s lunar event… Super Blood Wolf Moon.

During a total eclipse, the moon passes so deep into the shadow that any light reaching its surface only comes from the edge of Earth, where sunrises and sunsets are taking place. That light falls on to the moon and turns it red. Tonight when the moon went into eclipse, it turned blood red. We could see the full moon just above the horizon on our way out to watch the conference championship football games…

And later, we snuck outside to try to get a peek at the Super Wolf Blood Moon…

It was too cold outside to break out the dSLR cameras, big lenses or tripod. I just used my Samsung Galaxy Note9 and my new Moment 60mm Tele lens…

I got this capture that I was pretty happy with…

I love lunar events like this and really anything to do with the moon. 😀🌕❤️

More snow.

When we left OtR earlier this evening, it was raining. By the time we got home and took the dogs on a walk, it had started sleeting and the wind was howling. It really hurt to get pelted by all the little ice pellets. By the time we were heading off to bed, the snow had started to accumulate…

And I took this video with my Instagram of the snow blowing…

I’m really ready for winter to be over already. 😀❄️🌨️❤️

Another super Saturday.

This afternoon I got my haircut with Katie Walters. She is literally the best…

Then since we were already over on the east side, we got to have lunch at Taglio again…

Genifer ordered the Finta…

We started with a side garden salad…

And there it is…

The main event…

Taglio’s deep-dish Detroit-style pizza. This time we ordered the Deluxe…

I love, love, love Taglio’s pizza. And we’re so excited. I don’t know if you’ve heard but Taglio is set to open a second location this spring on 12th Street in Over-the-Rhine. So sometime soonish, we’ll be able to stop and get pizza whenever our hearts desire. After Taglio on our way back home, we stopped at Genifer’s favorite bar in the whole world, Sundry and Vice for a drink…

Sundry and Vice makes the best drinks…

It was another really super Saturday. 😀✂️🍕🥃❤️

This morning I earned the Helicopter badge from my Fitbit Charge3…

How cool is that? I didn’t even realize Fitbit had badges you could earn. This badge was pretty easy to achieve when I’m going up and down three flights of stairs all the time in our house. 😀⚡️🚁❤️
