Happy 513 Day!

Today is May 13th, also known as 5-1-3 Day…

It’s a day to celebrate all the things from area code 513 and Cincinnati…

Good morning from Northside…

They’ve been working on disassembling a tree just off Pullan Street. They’ve been working on it since we got home from our trip but we weren’t sure which tree they were working on. Today, it became pretty clear…

They’ve also been resurfacing Pullan…

I wish they would work on the rest of the streets in Northside next. It was another really gorgeous day…

Good evening from Northside…

We talked about getting Skyline for dinner tonight in honor of 513 day. Because what’s more 513 than Skyline chili? But we decided to get hoagies from NYPD instead…

And then we played in our backyard for a bit…

And then we crashed out for the night…

We had a pretty good 513 day. Hopefully next year, things will keep more normal and we can do 513 day even better. 😀🌄🌳🚧🥪🍟❤️

Today was a very pretty day.

It was really pretty this morning…

Good morning from Northside…

And it was very pretty this evening as well…

We had spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread for dinner tonight…

It’s been a minute since we’ve had spaghetti. And I love spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread.

After dinner, we mowed the little bit of grass we have in our backyard…

This afternoon we watched Arsenal complete the double over Chelsea for the first time in 17 years with a gifted 1-0 victory at Stamford Bridge. And later, we watched Minnesota United pick up their first win of the season, 1-0 over Vancouver.

It was a pretty good Wednesday. 😀🌄🍝🏡❤️

Getting back to our routine.

We were getting back into our routine this morning…

It was pretty slow start to the short work week. It was nice to ease back into work…

We made BLTs for dinner tonight…

Mine was more of turkey club actually…

Mack was trying his best to wait patiently to go outside so we could play in our backyard…

Later, we finished watching season one of Ted Lasso on Apple TV. It was super cute. And pretty hilarious. We really can’t wait for season two. 😀🌄🥪🐾📺❤️

Two years ago.

Two years ago, we were just starting our epic road trip with Oscar, #gtfOscarRoadTrip2019…

It was an incredible adventure. It was our first road trip with Oscar and our first to Outer Banks…

It seems like every hotel we stayed at had a continental breakfast with a waffle maker. I ate a bunch of waffles on our road trip…

And it started a vacation photo series of Genifer eating breakfasts…

It really lived up to it’s hashtag of an epic road trip. 😀🐾🗺️🧇😍❤️

A pretty low-key Sunday.

Good morning from Northside…

It was a beautiful day. We hung out in our backyard…

And we went back to Taft’s Brewpourium for more delicious New Haven style pizza…

Ohmigosh! We love Taft’s pizza. I think it’s our very favorite pizza in all of Cincinnati.

Later, we took the dogs around the block….

Another good Saturday.

Good morning from Northside…

We stopped at Biggby for our weekend morning coffee…

We ran over to Home Depot to get some more stuff for our front yard…

Like this tomato and citronella…

This was our first trip to Home Depot in a long time. And it was also our last trip to Home Depot after we heard they pledged to back Orangey McLiarface’s bid for re-election in November. I should have guessed it with all the orange at Home Depot. We’ll just be shopping at Lowe’s from now on.

On our way back home, there was a train going by overhead…

We got this cute little shrub and planter at Home Depot with our gift card…

After working on our front yard, we fired up the grill…

Those burgers were from Whole Foods and they were out of this world good.

I think it would be interesting to do a coffee table book about the alleys in Northside…

We also planted some little purple flowers in front of our bricks…

Our front yard is looking a lot better than it did a year ago…

We had another pretty good Saturday. 😀🗓️❤️

Running around on a Friday.

Before I started work this morning, we ran over to Whole Foods at Rookwood Commons in Hyde Park to get some groceries…

The grocery aisles at Whole Foods are one-way streets…

Someday, we’ll have to try Ninja Squirrel Sriracha…

And some of these Bearitos…

And this spicy chicken noodle soup…

Summer must be here! Because we found a mini-keg of Bell’s Oberon!

Whole Foods has some really good stuff! And speaking of good stuff on our way back home from Whole Foods, we stopped for some delicious Biggby Coffee…
