We got to watch this adorable puppy.

We got to watch our friend, Robert’s puppy for the day while he was out of town…

His name is Sabot. Our friends, Chris and Tayler were watching him. But they were out of town at the Kansas City Chiefs game so we picked up Sabot from their house in Northside after last night’s FC|C match, and he hung out with us all day today. Mack and Sabot became best friends really fast…

They would play and wrestle go outside and Sabot would get worn out pretty quick. And then he’d just hop up on the sofa and crash out…

Oscar was not a fan of the puppy. But he’s not really a fan of Mack for that matter…

The puppy liked going on walks with Mack…

And then we went upstairs and he crashed out…

He was so cute and so good. We actually thought about getting a puppy for a little bit but then we decided that two dogs are plenty for us right now. But we’d be willing to watch Sabot anytime. 😀🐾❤️

Good evening from Northside.

I really love it when it’s dark outside and the streetlights are on and the light from the streetlights illuminate the leaves on the nearby trees…

I think it’s one of those really beautiful everyday things that not everybody gives the appreciation it deserves. 😀🌃❤️

USL Cup 2018: FC Cincinnati versus NY Red Bulls II.

USL EASTERN CONFERENCE SEMI-FINALS! Our number one seeded FC Cincinnati was playing host to the fifth seed baby Bulls of New York…

HERE WE GO!

At halftime, it was 1-0 New York Red Bulls II…

And after a very frustrating second half with very few chances created, the match would end 1-0 to NY Red Bulls…

With today’s loss, FC Cincinnati saw its 2018 season come to an end. It was a great season for FC Cincinnati. They went on an unbelievable undefeated run that spanned FC|C’s last 23 games of the regular season, and last 25-games overall. The undefeated streak began all the way back on June 2 and also included draws in the club’s US Open Cup fourth-round match against MLS’ Minnesota United (0-0, 4-1 loss in PKs) and last week’s Eastern Conference Quarterfinal against Nashville SC (0-0, 6-5 win in PKs). FC Cincy posted a regular-season record of 23-3-8 with 77 points. They set USL records for regular-season wins, longest undefeated streak and most points. And they were crowned USL regular season champions. It was a pretty amazing season.

But all good things have to come to an end. I would much rather have them get knocked out in the conference semi-finals by Red Bulls than rival Louisville City in the conference finals. Or for them to make it to the USL Cup final only to lose that match. Hopefully, they’ll keep getting better and better players and will be competitive next season in MLS. We’ll just have to wait and see. 😀⚽️🏆❤️

#TBT Pause for paws.

These photos of Oscar popped up in my Timehop today…

He’s such a silly and handsome little guy. 😀🦕🐾❤️

And when we came back from walking the dogs this morning, somehow the cat was almost entirely under the covers…

I don’t if she was there the whole time or if I covered her up on accident or if she climbed up there and worked her way under the covers. But it was pretty cute.

It’s what’s for lunch: Taco Bell’s Spicy Double Chalupa.

I have a confession. I love Taco Bell’s Chalupa Supreme. They are one of my little guilty pleasures. I used to be able to resist, mostly because there wasn’t a Taco Bell in close proximity. But then the Taco Bell Cantina opened over on Sixth Street in downtown Cincinnati. Now about once every couple weeks or so, I find myself ordering two chalupas online and walking over to Sixth Street to pick them up. It makes for a tasty, quick and cheap lunch. We were watching TV the other night and when I saw a commercial for Taco Bell’s new Spicy Double Chalupa, I knew what was going to be happening soon…

It was every bit as good as the normal chalupas. But just more of it. And it was almost too much of a good thing. The thing that I discovered was I really like the ratio of ingredients on the normal chalupa. It’s just the right amount of everything. It was definitely worth trying the new double chalupa. Because theoretically, who wouldn’t love more of a good thing? But I think I’m just going to stick with my original guilty pleasure. 😀🌮❤️

Coming soon: Monk Asian Eatery.

It looks like there’s a new Asian eatery called Monk going in on Main Street between Sixth and Seventh Streets where The Orient used to be

I can’t wait to try this place once it opens. I hope it’s as good at The Orient or even better. Because you can never have too many good Asian eateries. 😀🍜❤️

Constructing Cincinnati.

The demolition of the building across the street from Deskey continues…

I took this timelapse Instagram video of them deconstructing the little room on top of the building. It’s been really interesting to watch them start deconstructing this building mostly by hand. 😀🚧❤️

Seen and noted.

I saw another Rothko-esque graffiti cover up this morning in downtown Cincinnati…

Oh and Tag! You’re it.😀🎨🖌️❤️

Three years ago.

Our beloved bud dog passed away three years ago this evening…

It’s really hard to believe Milan’s been gone for three years now. There hasn’t been a day that’s gone by where we still haven’t missed him in bunches even after all this time. He’s always in our thoughts each and every day. And I’m so very thankful that a couple of bud dog photos show up in my Timehop almost every morning…

All of us still miss you so very much, Milan. You helped me through one of the roughest patches of my life and helped me come out the other side. You were always there for me.  Always there with me. You were the best friend I’ve ever had. And it breaks our hearts that you’re not still here with us now. You would have loved our big house with our little backyard and our neighborhood with all the walks we take through the woods. You were definitely taken from us far too soon. 😦

Rest in peace, bud dog. I will always love you and miss you
more than words could ever possibly say. 😢

What the heck?! Part three OR Roll for Ohio Skee-Ball Championship.

After work this evening, we had to stop at the auto parts store to get some tail light bulbs for the Jetta. On our way to the auto parts store, we saw this cargo container truck that must have taken the corner too fast to first on Spring Grove Avenue from Mitchell…

That’s the third flipped over vehicle we’ve seen this year. After we got our new bulbs, the traffic was ridiculous what with the flipped over truck and all. So we decided to stop at Taft’s Brewpourium for a beer and a little bite to eat while we waited for the traffic to die down. Unbeknownst to us, Taft’s Brewpourium was hosting The Roll for Ohio Skee-Ball Championship tonight presented by Ohio Lottery. The event pitted Cleveland versus Columbus versus Cincinnati in a battle of skee-ball supremacy. It was all linked via a live televised feed between the three cities. The city with the highest total points from two hours of skee-ball would be declared the skee ball champion of Ohio…

Taft’s was really crowded for a Thursday night. We weren’t sure if it was for this event or if it was because of the traffic or if it’s just always best after work on Thursdays…

The Ohio Lottery was handing out Ohio Lottery skee-ball coasters and skee-ball scratcher lottery tickets. Genifer won $30 with her lottery ticket. I didn’t win anything with mine…

We got an order of loaded tots and their knots…

Their stuff is so good.

We rolled some skee-ball. I had a couple of really good games with three or four 50 point rolls in a row…

It was a very fun event to just sort of stumble into this evening. Later, we saw Cleveland ended up winning The Roll for Ohio Skee-Ball Championship. 😀🏆❤️
