Twenty-first!

Yesterday was the Greatest Palindrome Ever. Today was a pretty unique day as well…

The morning got off to a pretty start…

I’ve been on a homemade hot chocolate kick lately…

We made it through another work day…

And it’s Thursday! Time for an NYPD Pizza party…

According to my Swarm, this was our 100th visit to NYPD Pizza…

It feels like we’ve been to NYPD a lot more than 100 times. But it’s Swarm so who knows?

NYPD Pizza party…

Ohmigosh. NYPD Pizza is so good. Tonight, we started watching Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer. We’ve been a real serial killer series kick lately.

And soon as we started the the show, Mack snuck off to hang out down in our studio office on his dog bed…

He sleep down there a lot. As I was getting ready for bed, I stopped to admire the view out of our third-floor bathroom window that looks out over our backyard…

I like the views we have around of little neighborhood. It was another good day. But any day that involves an NYPD pizza party is a pretty good day. 😀🌄☕️🍕🐾❤️

A day full of optimism.

Good morning from Northside…

We made tacos for lunch…

This afternoon, Joe Biden became the 46th president of the United States, and declared that “democracy has prevailed.” Kamala Harris made history as the first female vice-president, and the first Black person and person of South Asian descent to hold the position. And where we are a deeply divided nation in the midst of crises arguably greater than any time before in our history, there was an optimism and a feeling of hope that had been missing for the last four years. I thought this was pretty funny…

I like gleefreshing. 🤗

Good evening from Northside…

We had cheese tortellini for dinner tonight…

And there was garlic bread…

And Genifer made deep dish cookies for dessert…

I put some caramel sauce on my cookie and ice cream cup…

This evening, we watched Sightless on Netflix. It was pretty okay. But today was a pretty great day. And all of a sudden, there’s hope again. 😀🌄🌮🇺🇸🍝🍪📺❤️

It was a very bright and sunshiny morning…

And the sun was out all day today…

We had another one of the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meals. This was Swiss Chicken with honey mustard green beans and crispy onions…

It was another really delicious meal. The cheesy chicken was really terrific and the green beans were really good. I think crispy onions can make anything even more delicious. We like the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meal kits a lot.

While I was working this afternoon, I listened to Leicester beat Chelsea 2-0 to go top of the Premier League. And this evening, we watched Michigan bounce back from their first loss by thumping Maryland 87-63.

We had another good Tuesday. 😀🌄☀️🐔⚽️🏀❤️

We both had the day off work today for the holiday. It was a cold and snowy day…

Genifer made cheesy buffalo chicken pasta with garlic bread for lunch…

I realized when we got to the stairs at the top of the hill at the end of our street that I had forgotten my little fisheye Moment lens…

Today, we watched Arsenal beat Newcastle 3-0. And we watched the MLK Day NBA games especially the Grizzlies win over the Suns. I like the Griz. I think they have the best logo in the NBA. It was a very nice day off. And another very low-key, relaxing day. 😀🌄❄️🔥🐔⚽️🏀❤️

Ohhh… Epic tacos!

There were still snow flurries this morning…

And it was still cold and grey…

Good morning from Northside…

We ventured out to try something new this afternoon, Agave & Rye in Rookwood…

We started with some chips and guacamole…

Genifer loves guacamole…

And it was really good at Agave & Rye. We also started with the elotte…

And we each had an epic taco. Genifer had The Buddha: teriyaki 5-spice tofu, sticky rice, baby corn, water chestnuts, cilantro, green onion, carrots, red bell pepper, Shiitake mushrooms, crispy wontons, sweet thai chili sauce…

I love ground beef tacos. And they’re kind of hard to find out. Agave & Rye had two on their menu. So this time I ordered The Cousin of Vinnie: seasoned ground beef, tomato-vodka sauce, mac n cheese, white cheddar, tobacco onions and queso cushion in between the two taco shells…

Next time, I’ll try the other ground beef taco. Their tacos were amazing and huge. And they had a bunch of interesting sounding tacos on their menu.

Everything we ordered was delicious…

Agave & Rye had a whole bunch of arcade game that would have been fun to play…

But we’re still in the middle of a pandemic and I didn’t want to touch anything…

Agave & Rye was incredible. Everything was delicious. Their tacos were huuuuge. And we left so stuffed. I think we just found our new favorite taco shop now that Django Western Taco has moved out of Northside.

When we got home, we took the dogs out around the block…

And it was still cold…

We ended up taking a nap. And later, we watched the NFL playoff games…

I was happy to see Tom Brady win. I was sad to see Drew Brees lose. And I thought the refs jobbed the Browns. How did they miss this helmet-to-helmet hit? Most likely, it cost the Browns a touchdown and they would end up losing by 5 points. Next weekend, I’ll be cheering for Brady and the Bills. Because nothing would be worse than a State Farm Superb Owl with Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes. I don’t really care for either of them very much.

But anyway, we had a really great day with some epic tacos! 😀🌄❄️🌮🐾🏈❤️

A cold & snowy Saturday.

It was a could and snowy morning in Northside…

Good morning from Northside…

We went over to the grocery this morning. It counts as our Saturday activity…

Both the panda and train were on the shelf today…

And the football balloons still dominated the balloons…

And then we got coffees from Mad Llama…

JAVA WHIPS!

After that we were pretty lazy…

We still had some flurries this evening…

You can see the snowflakes on Mack’s head…

We had a Kroger flatbread pizza for lunch with Caesar salad. It was really good. Somehow, I didn’t take a photo of it. I don’t remember what we had for dinner.

But we had tiramisu for dessert…

Michigan got thumped by Minnesota. And we watched Outside the Wire on Netflix. It was pretty good. We had another good pandemic Saturday. 😀🌄🌨️❄️🏀📺❤️

It’s Skyline time!

This morning it was really overcast, dark and rainy. Good morning from Northside…

But by lunchtime, the sun was out…

We ran over to St. Bernard for lunch and we saw this funny looking truck…

We picked up some Skyline for lunch…

It’s Skyline time!

Skyline is so good. Genifer had a deluxe burrito. I had a 5-way and two cheese coneys while I finished up my work for the week. And then it was overcast again when we went on our evening week…

We shared our Cinnabon cheesecake we got with our lunch…

Then we headed upstairs for the night and we finished Collateral: Limited Series on Netflix. 😀🌄🧀🌭🍝📺❤️

Mack and Oscar hung out with my in our studio office for most of the day…

We listened to Arsenal draw with Crystal Palace this afternoon. And then we went out on our evening walk around the block…

Thursdays are for NYPD Pizza parties…

NYPD Pizza is so delicious. And so inexpensive. We love Thursday pizza nights. Genifer made little chocolate chip banana bread puddings for dessert…

They were really good. It was another delicious Thursday.

Tonight, we watched the first two episodes of Collateral: Limited Series on Netflix.

Hello from Northside.

The sun was so pretty this morning…

Mack keeps migrating a lot of the dog toys to our studio office…

And for some reason, most of the toys always accumulate here.

It was a very pretty evening too…

Genifer made pork chops with sriracha Brussels sprouts for dinner…

She always finds the best recipes to make. Tonight, we finished Lupin. We hope there are more episodes coming sometime soon. It was a pretty good show. And today was another pretty good day. 😀🌄🐾🍽️❤️

A 43-6 scoring run?!

It was another overcast morning…

Good morning from Northside…

But it turned out to be a pretty evening…

We had another one of the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meals. This was Italian Romano Pork Meatloaf with Parmesan broccoli and red peppers…

And add some extra dust cheese…

It was another really delicious meal. All the meatloaf dinners we’ve tried have been outstanding. This was yet another meal that would have gone really well with garlic bread. But I’ve been told that not every meal needs to have garlic bread with it. Still, we like the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meal kits a lot.

We watched Michigan run riot on Wisconsin. At one point in the second half, Michigan was up by 40 points courtesy of a stretch when the Wolverines outscored the Badgers 43-6…
