After Genifer left this morning, the dogs couldn’t figure out why I was still home and she wasn’t. They sat by the door waiting for her to come back…
Later, we hung out in the backyard for a couple of hours…
After then we went upstairs so Oscar could take a nap…
Mack sat by the window and watched the world outside…
It was pretty awesome to have a boys day with the dogs. 😀🐾❤️

For dinner this evening, we were going to grill these sausages from Trader Joe’s…
But we forgot to get charcoal for the grill. So we decided to use our little orange grill…
And the sausages were delicious! I don’t know which one I liked better. 😀🌭❤️

We woke up early this morning to get over to Trader Joe’s before it got too crazy…
One of the things we’ve found at Trader Joe’s that we really like are these Bambas…
They are like cheese curls but instead of cheese, they’re peanut butter. Soo good. We got lotsa good stuff…
After we were done at Trader Joe’s, we stopped for breakfast at Wild Eggs…
Their menu had lots of good sounding stuff but unfortunately, we aren’t huge breakfast people. We like breakfast just not a lot of it. Genifer got two scrambled eggs and some sausage links…
I ordered just a Belgian waffle…
Everything was really good. We’ll have to build up more of an appetite and head back to try some of the more elaborate offerings at Wild Eggs. 😀🥞❤️
And we were back home by 10:00am.

Today was Urban Artifact’s 4th birthday party…
We tried the two Kaleidoscope variants, Pineapple Salsa and Pineapple Luau Spice…
They were outstanding! We took our beers and headed upstairs to the sanctuary…
UA had the space filled with a whole bunch of carnival games…

And we ordered some Wildfire Pizza Kitchen…
We tried their new stuffed mushrooms…
And they were awesome! We love stuffed mushrooms. We also ordered some of their cheesy bread. Sooo cheesy, so good…
And we ordered a small Dad’s Favorite pizza…
Ohmigosh. Their stuff is really incredible. Everything is always just amazing…
UA also brought in a cotton candy machine. So I had some cotton candy…
And we had our first Keypunch of the season. Keypunch is what summer tastes like to me. It’s one of my all-time favorite beers. I’m excited that it’s Keypunch season…
It was a really fun afternoon, Happy birthday, Urban Artifact! You’ll always be one of our very favorite breweries. We’re so happy you’re in Northside. 😀🍺🍕❤️

Tonight, our FC Cincinnati was playing host to Real Salt Lake…
It was another cold and rainy evening for FC Cincinnati soccer this time the match was on a Friday night. At least, it wasn’t another Sunday game.
We saw FC|C’s mascot, Gary…
And we headed around to the other side of Nippert Stadium to find our friend, Kathy…
Turns out Kathy had some pretty amazing seats…

The match ended 3-0 to Real Salt Lake. I still don’t understand why almost everyone in Cincinnati was so hyped about joining MLS. I loved the USL version of FC Cincinnati so much. The MLS FC|C has now been outscored 8-1 in their four matches. 😀⚽️❤️

After six years, today was my last day at Deskey. This is what my office looked like at the end of last week before I accepted the offer for my new position…
And here’s what it looked like this morning…
I’m going to miss being able to see Carew Tower out of my office window…
I’m not going miss that terrible ArtWorks mural of the pale lady staring at me all day…
I’m really going to miss watching the construction across the street take shape…
You know it’s time to move on when that’s the thing you’re going to miss the most…
Thanks for a good six years, Deskey. Best wishes for your continued success. Say what you will, it’s definitely been an experience…
Turning the page, and onto the next chapter. We’ll be staying in Cincinnati. I’m joining the Midwest office of the Grey Group as a Senior Designer. I’m sooo excited about this new adventure. My first day will be next Wednesday. 😀👋❤️

I love BLTs. This one was really good, nothing fancy just really good. And we shared an order of tots. Their tots are just out of this world…
