International Space Station Sunday.

Good morning from Northside…

We ran over to the grocery. They always have different balloons…

I like looking at the balloons. And then we got our Mad Llama coffee…

And we got our delicious Mad Llama bagel turkey sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sammich on an Asiago cheese bagel…

Tomorrow, they’re going to start working on the water mains on our street again. I went out to move the Jetta up to the end of the street and it wouldn’t start. Again. I just had a new battery put in it the last time they worked on our street. I think it’s probably the alternator but we’ll see. This morning, AAA came out to take it to one of their repair centers…

And there it goes. I hope it isn’t too expensive.

Oscar was just hanging out…

It’s Sunday. We must be going to Taft’s Brewpourium for pizza…

We got to watch the crazy end of the Cowboys game…

Taft’s is such great stuff. And today, they had fried mushrooms….

The sky was so pretty this evening…

And good evening from Northside…

We asked the two people standing on the hill what they were watching for, and they said the International Space Station was just about to fly over…

And suddenly, there it was…

It was just a little pinhole of light. It almost just looked a star but it was really moving quickly across the sky…

And there it went…

How neat was that? Just being in the right place at the right time.

It was a really cool way to end a great weekend…

Next week is probably going to be another crazy one. 😀🌄❤️

A Tuesday in Northside.

Good morning from Northside…

Before we started working this morning, we walked down to Blue Jay for breakfast…

Because it’s the most important meal of the day…

Genifer ordered a half-order of french toast, and I ordered biscuit and gravy…

Breakfast was delicious. Blue Jay is always so good. We don’t eat there nearly enough.We need to really work on changing that.

When we were walking home, we noticed there was a mural started on the front of Schaeper’s Pharmacy…

And there was some sidewalk chalk art…

They put down asphalt over the new water main on our street…

It looks like they’re pretty much done working on our street.

And good evening from Northside…

Constructing Northside, part three.

The construction crew was back at it early this morning…

Good morning from Northside…

They were working on finishing the upper end of our street today…

They were out of view of our WyzeCams all day. Good evening from Northside…

They almost finished our street today. And that was all of our excitement on a Monday. We had leftovers from the grill for dinner. 😬🚧💦❤️

Constructing Northside, part two.

The Cincinnati Water construction crew arrived on our street early this morning…

Good morning from Northside…

I grabbed a lot of image captures of all the construction from our third-floor WyzeCam…

Suddenly, the skies opened up and there was a torrential downpour…

And just as suddenly as it started raining, it stopped raining…

And that was pretty much it for today…

I also took these time-lapse videos from our third-floor WyzeCam as well…

When we were on our evening dog walk, we saw this machine…

Good evening from Northside…

They changed the signs…

It looks like they’re going to working on our street next week too. They left this pile of bricks on the side of street. They were the original cobblestone bricks from our street that were still under the asphalt. We snagged a bunch of them…

We’ll find something to use them for in our backyard. It’ll be really neat to have the original bricks from our street in our backyard. 😬🚧💦❤️

Constructing Northside.

The sign said they were supposed to start construction work on our street today. They city has been replacing the water mains on our side of Northside. Pretty much most everyone moved their cars up to the end of the street in anticipation of the work…

Good morning from Northside…

There were a couple of stragglers still parked on our street this morning…

Mid-morning, we were still waiting for the work to begin…

Finally mid-afternoon, a guy was walking a pavement cutter down our street…

And that was pretty much all the action that we saw all day. Come to find out that they were working at the very South end of our street…

Good evening from Northside…

They have a lot of work to do if they’re going to be done by Friday. 😬🚧💦❤️

Greetings from Northside.

Good morning from Northside. It looked like it was going to be overcast again…

We saw another Northside sidewalk snail on our dog walk this morning…

But Mack sniffed it and probably scared the heck out of the snail because it pulled itself inside its shell and did not want to come back out. A lot of times if you wait a couple minutes, they’ll slowly come back out of their shell. But not this one.

We walked to Sidewinder Coffee this morning to get some beverages…

I got an iced hot chocolate which is pretty much chocolate milk over ice. And Genifer had a lavender and vanilla iced latte with oat milk…

On our way home, we stopped to watch the machines on Pullan Avenue…

They’re replacing the water mains on all the streets on our side of Northside.

We noticed that Oscar hid one of the new Nylabones under the pillows on the sofa so Mack couldn’t find it. He’s very possessive when it comes to his toys…

Genifer made Chicken Ramen Stir-Fry for dinner…

It was delicious. I pretty much like anything with ramen and an Asian flair. She always finds the best recipes for dinners.

And finally, good evening from Northside…

Even though it ended up being overcast all day, it was still pretty good day. 😀❤️

Downtown details.

It was cold outside today. I was going to walk through the Skywalk to avoid the cold on my way to the bus. On my way to the Skywalk, I noticed that the Millenium Hotel was closed and undergoing a liquidation sale…

I walked through the Hyatt Regency up to the second floor across The Skywalk over to Carew Tower. Carew Tower was having their 2020 Fight For Air Climb to support the American Lung Association by climbing the 804 Stairs over 45 floors of Carew Tower…

I was going to continue on through the Skywalk from Carew Tower across Fifth Street to Fountain Place but that portion Skywalk was closed…

I left Carew Tower and noticed the skating rink on Fountain Square had been taken down, just as it’s starting to feel like actual skating weather…

The Booksellers on Fountain Square is closed now…

Looking inside Fountain Place everything is closed. And that made me wonder what happened to Palomino up on the second floor…

I went to see if Palomino was still there and it didn’t look good…

And Palomino’s gone and that’s pretty sad. I was happy to see that the Toynbee Tile was still on Seventh Street…

And I noticed that there was a new-to-me Artworks mural on the side of the Hustler just a little ways down Seventh Street…

I walked by Deskey and they removed the mantra they had on their front windows…

I always thought the mantra was kind of ridiculous. The almost full moon was already starting to pop out from behind the buildings…

And the exterior of the building at the corner of Eighth and Main Streets looked really close to being completed…

It’s interesting to me how much things can change downtown over just a few months but also just how much things stay the same. And the only real constant is change.
