Hello, HelloFresh!

The morning got off to a really pretty start…

Good morning from Northside…

Oscar was sitting like a sir…

Good evening from Northside…

In the mail today, I got a free limited edition Dribble sticker pack from Sticker Mule…

I love stickers. And these are some really neat ones.

We like the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meals so much that Genifer tried HelloFresh. HelloFresh delivers step-by-step recipes and fresh, pre-portioned ingredients right to your door. And our first meal kit also arrived today….

Here are the three meals we chose to try this week…

The first meal we tried was Hey, Honey! Salmon with potato wedges and zesty green beans…

Ohmigosh! It was such a delicious meal and it was so much food. I think we’re going to really like HelloFresh a lot! We can’t wait to try the other two meals.

In my Timehop today were these two photos of Genifer and Oscar hanging out in bed back when Genifer had to still wear glasses…

We had another great Tuesday. 😀🌄🏡🐾🍽️❤️

BLTs & more work on our yard.

It was kind of hazy this morning…

Good morning from Northside…

We ran over to Lowe’s this morning…

We stopped for coffee…

We added some landscape edging and decorative rock border to our front yard…

When we were finishing up in our front yard, a guy jogging by stopped to ask where we got our bricks. After chatting for a minute and as he started to walk away, he said, “Yeah, I gotta work on my front yard and try to get it up to this level.” It was such a nice thing to say. And it made us feel so proud of our front yard…

Hopefully, we van get our backyard up to the level of our front yard. We pulled all the grass and weeds out of the front third of our backyard…

I tried to dig out an old concrete post anchor next to our backyard path…

And that was clearly a mistake. I put it back in it’s hole and filled the hole back in…

Our next step will be adding rocks…

We went upstairs to take some showers. Hi Oscar…

We had BLTs for dinner….

BLTs with wedge fries…

Good evening from Northside…

Our front yard looks so nice…

We sat out on our back patio for a bit…

We watched the Louisville City thump Memphis 3-0 and listened to some music…

We had a really good Saturday. 😀🌄🏡🐾🥪❤️

Friday night thunderstorm.

There were a bunch of ants on the sidewalk…

Good morning from Northside…

Hi Oscar…

And, Hi Mack…

Mack must have been trying to hide his new hedgehog toy from Oscar by putting it in the bedroom trash can…

Good evening from Northside…

We ordered an elevated dog cot for our back patio…

Oscar wasn’t real sure about it at first…

But I think he likes it now…

It was a very pretty evening…

But while we were sitting on our back patio this evening, out of nowhere we could hear lots of thunder but we couldn’t see any lightning or even dark storm clouds…

It was exact opposite of when we were out on the deck in the Outer Banks, and there was all sorts of the lightning but no thunder. Both were kinda odd. But we had a really good Friday.

Dogs are pretty funny.

Good morning from Northside…

Mack and Oscar were drinking out of the same water bowl at the same time again…

I made a cheesy chicken nugget wrap for lunch…

It started sprinkle on us while we were on our evening walk…

Good evening from Northside…

At the bottom of the stairs, the sounds of the cicadas was it’s loudest…

When we got home, Oscar started looking for a very specific dog toy…

He kept pulling out toys and setting them in a pile while he dug for the one he really wanted…

Apparently, he was looking for one of the Nylabones…

And then he never really chewed on it. Dogs are pretty funny. 😀🌄🌧️☔️🐾❤️

Thursdays are for pizza parties.

I think it rained all night and it was still raining this morning…

And it started sprinkling again just as soon as we got to the top of the hill.

Genifer was painting our hallway…

When we were leaving to go on our evening walk, it looked really ominous…

Good evening from Northside…

As soon as we got on front porch, it started pouring…

And then we ran over to pick up NYPD Pizza in the pouring rain…

Our pizza was amazing…

We hadn’t had an NYPD Pizza party in a minute.

And then we watched more of Ragnarok on Netflix. 😀🌄🌧️🍕📺❤️

Happy Memorial Day!

Today was Memorial Day…

Thank you to all the brave men & women who protect and serve our great country…

We got up early this morning to run over to the grocery…

And we got coffee…

We took the dogs on their morning walk…

Good morning from Northside…

We trimmed our front yard grass…

Geri came over for lunch. And Genifer made Skillet Pineapple BBQ Chicken…

It was delicious. She always finds the best recipes to make. And there was Carvel’s original ice cream cake…

We hung out in our backyard…

Good evening from Northside…

We have some more blooms in our front yard…

It was so pretty today, we hung out on our back patio for the rest of the evening…

We had a very nice Memorial Day and a wonderful long holiday weekend.

Stuffed crust and backyard lights.

Our Saturday morning was off to an overcast start…

But when we got to the top of the hill at the end of our street, the sun came out…

We ran over to St. Bernard to pick up some Pizza Hut for lunch…

We got some stuffed crust pizza, a pan meat lovers and cheese bread…

Good evening from Northside…

We strung some little lights around the top of our backyard fence…

We can’t wait to see what they look like when it gets dark.

One year ago, we worked on transforming our front yard…

And seven years ago, someone left their Tonka truck at Lytle Park…

I hope they found their truck. 😀🌄🍕🏡💡🚚❤️

Friday evening in our backyard.

Good morning from Northside…

We’ve been going to Blue Jay for breakfast on Friday…

Mmmm. Northsider omelette…

We stopped for coffee on our way home…

We ordered this new rug for our second floor hallway…

Oscar slept on the rug while I finished up work…

And just like that, it was the weekend…

Good evening from Northside…

We sat on our back patio and had some drinks…

We watched the final NBA play-in game, and the Grizzlies beat the Warriors 117-112 in overtime…

Congrats Memphis! In the first round of the playoffs, the Grizz get to play the team with the best regular season record and number one overall seed in the playoffs, Utah Jazz.

Mack got tired of being outside with us and went inside…

Creepy.

Rainy days are for Chipotle.

It was pouring down rain this morning. The dogs didn’t even make it to the end of the street before they turned around to head for home…

Genifer ordered us Chipotle for lunch again…

This is how mack was sleeping in our office studio while I was working…

It stopped raining in time for our evening walk..

Good evening from Northside…

Genifer has been working on painting our dining room…

We ate the rest of our Chipotle for dinner and headed upstairs for the evening…

We need to find a new series to watch. 😀🌄☔️🌧️🌯🖌️❤️

One year ago.

One year ago, we were just figuring out how to work from home…

Fast forward a year, and I’ve really fine tuned my little work space…

I have my little set-up down pat. It’s a pretty functional space. It’s going to be really hard to go back to working in an office. Thankfully, it sounds like it’s still going to be a while until we have to go back to commuting to an office. They are projecting a return in September at the earliest now. 😀🏡💻❤️
