Coffee. Inside?!

Good morning from Northside…

We went over to Mad Llama to get coffee…

And today, we could actually go back inside to get our coffees…

It was pretty exciting to be able to get coffee from inside Mad Llama again…

It’s the little things.

It was looking very dark off in the direction of home…

When it got home, it started pouring…

Once it was done raining, we set our new little fire pit out in our backyard…

We had one HelloFresh meal left for this week. So we ate Meatball with Bulgogi Sauce and roasted carrots, ginger rice and sriracha crema for an early dinner…

It was another delicious meal. There hasn’t been a bad meal yet. They’ve all been really good. We can’t wait to try our meals next week.

Good evening from Northside…

We watched the Copa America final…

It was pretty tremendous to see Messi finally lift his trophy. 😀🌄☕🌨️🔥📺⚽❤️

Friday nights are for our backyard.

It’s Friday! We made it through another week!

Good morning from Northside…

Both dogs were laying in our studio-office while I was working today. Mack was on the dog bed and Oscar was laying in Mack’s crate…

We reorganized our back patio and moved our chairs around…

And Genifer found this terrific green rug for our patio…

And then we hung out in our backyard this evening and listened to musics…

We love hanging out in our backyard on Friday nights. It’s a terrific way to wind down the work week and get the weekend off to a good start! 😀🌄🏡🐾❤️

A special delivery.

Good morning from Northside…

We heard a delivery truck coming down our street and checked our street-level WyzeCam…

We had a special delivery today…

Jeannette ordered a bunch of beers and had them sent to our house for their visit next weekend. We can’t wait to see what she ordered. Special deliveries are fun.

Our second HelloFresh meal this week was One-Pan Bahn Mi Style Chicken Tacos with pickled cucumber & srircha mayo…

Geez. These dinners are just incredible.

Later, we watched more Game of Thrones. It was a pretty good Thursday. 😀🌄🏡🍽️❤️

Tuesday is burger night!

After the wonderful long holiday weekend, we had to get back to work…

Good morning from Northside…

We made it through our Tuesday. And then we walked back down to Gulow Street…

During happy hour on Tuesdays, Gulow Street has a burger and draft beer special for $10.

But we figured out you can also get a burger, a Tito’s & soda, a High Life and a bag of chips all for just $13.75…

Their burgers are pretty amazing for $6.50. We ate our burgers and finished our drinks and walked home to take the dogs around the block…

It was a very pretty evening…

We had a great Tuesday. We really like Gulow Street burger night. I think that just became a standing thing.

We both had today off work…

Good morning from Northside…

We ran over to the grocery this morning…

I always like to check out the different balloons…

And then it was time for coffee…

Later, we had sausages and pasta salad for lunch…

We got some NYPD calzones for dinner…

It had been a minute since we had NYPD calzones. They were so good. We both ate our entire calzone. And then we hung out in our backyard for a bit…

It was a pretty nice, very low-key Monday. 😀🌄🎈🌭🍽️❤️

Good morning from Northside…

Instead of the annual Northside Fourth of July Parade, this year there were Fourth of July decoration destinations…

And one of neighbors at the end of our street was a decoration destination…

Later, we walked back down to Gulow Street…

It was so good yesterday that we wanted to try more of items off their menu. Today, we both ordered their burger with chips…

Gulow Street’s burger were amazing. Everything we’ve had at Gulow Street has been so good that we ordered a couple more items to go…

We really like Gulow Street.

When we got home, we hung out in our backyard for a bit…

Later, we ate our Gulow Street takeaway…

Sesame noodles…

And the ham & butter sammich…

Both we just terrific.

And four years ago, we still had grass in our backyard…

What a great Saturday. 😀🌄🏡🍔❤️

Over on Gulow Street.

Good morning from Northside…

We ran over to Lowe’s again this morning…

We stopped for coffee at Dunkin…

And then we got to work in our backyard…

We had many, many bags of pea gravel to dump…

Three hours later…

We got cleaned up and headed to over to check out a new restaurant that just opened up in Northside called Gulow Street…

Genifer ordered Sesame Noodles…

And I ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese…

The food at Gulow Street is sooo good. We can’t wait to come back to try more of their menu.

We were inspired by their decor. We’re going to start keeping at eye out for random, inexpensive works of art to hang in our dining room…

It’s always fun when new places open in your neighborhood. Especially when they’re as good as Gulow Street…

We can’t wait for our next visit to try a couple of those sammiches.

On our way home, we stopped at Northside Tavern for a drink…

Happy 7-1!

Today is July 1st! Happy 7-1 to all that celebrate…

It was another rainy morning…

On our walk this morning, we only made it to the stop sign at end of street…

But when we went on our walk this evening, the sun was out…

Weather. Go figure.

Good evening from Northside…

We haven’t seen very many snails on our walks so far this year…

Our third and final HelloFresh dinner of the week was Pecan & Walnut Crusted Chicken with BBQ-spiced sweet potatoes, brussel sprouts and apple…

Have we said that we really like the HelloFresh meals?

When we got upstairs, it started pouring again…

And now we have a long four-day holiday weekend…

The sun was out and the skies were blue with wispy white clouds this morning but by lunch time it was pouring down rain…

Mack and Oscar were waiting patiently for me to finish up with work…

Our second HelloFresh meal for the week was Sheet Pan Pork Sausage & Pepper Flatbreads with Monterey Jack and mozzarella…

I just don’t know what to say. All the meals are so good.

After dinner, it started raining again…

And it kept raining all night. 😀🌄☁️🌧️🐾🍽️🍕❤️

And we have a few more rocks.

Good morning from Northside…

We got another delivery of rocks for our backyard early this afternoon…

Our last delivery of rocks was from Lowe’s. But they would only delivery 15 bags of rocks at a time. This time we ordered from Home Depot. They’d delivery as many bags of rocks as you’d like. We ordered 70 bags of pea gravel and 7 bags of river rocks…

And we moved them all from the sidewalk to our backyard in about 35 minutes…

We have a lot of pea gravel…

And there’s the rest of our river rocks down there…

We ended up moving the rocks during the hottest part of the day…

We get to choose three HelloFresh meals a week. And tonight, we had another HelloFresh meal for dinner. This one was Italian Pepper Steak Sandos with melty mozzarella & roasted potato wedges…
