Hello from Northside.

The sun was so pretty this morning…

Good morning from Northside…

Mack keeps migrating a lot of the dog toys to our studio office…

And for some reason, most of the toys always accumulate here.

It was a very pretty evening too…

Genifer made pork chops with sriracha Brussels sprouts for dinner…

She always finds the best recipes to make. Tonight, we finished Lupin. We hope there are more episodes coming sometime soon. It was a pretty good show. And today was another pretty good day. 😀🌄🐾🍽️❤️

A 43-6 scoring run?!

It was another overcast morning…

Good morning from Northside…

But it turned out to be a pretty evening…

We had another one of the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meals. This was Italian Romano Pork Meatloaf with Parmesan broccoli and red peppers…

And add some extra dust cheese…

It was another really delicious meal. All the meatloaf dinners we’ve tried have been outstanding. This was yet another meal that would have gone really well with garlic bread. But I’ve been told that not every meal needs to have garlic bread with it. Still, we like the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meal kits a lot.

We watched Michigan run riot on Wisconsin. At one point in the second half, Michigan was up by 40 points courtesy of a stretch when the Wolverines outscored the Badgers 43-6…

And they’re only going to get better next season…

And five years ago, Michigan beat then #3 Maryland…

“Who’s got it better than us?” Hail! GO BLUE! 😀🌄🐾🍽️〽️🏀❤️

Another great Sunday.

The sky was very pretty this morning…

Good morning from Northside…

We had our normal weekend outing to the grocery…

The Valentine’s Day stuff is out in force…

Both the panda and the train were in the international aisle…

These balloons were very cheerful. I liked the little frog…

And Ice Bear was still trapped inside in the claw grab machine…

We stopped for Biggby coffee…

It was time to say goodbye to our Christmas tree again…

We made BLTs with seasoned curly fries for lunch…

Xavier beat Providence with a buzz-beater and Wichita State handled Cincinnati.

The sky was pretty this evening as well..

This evening we finished Manhunt: Unabomber. It was pretty good. Very interesting.

And twelve years ago today, I got started on Twitter…

I don’t really post a lot on Twitter, or really on any social media anymore. But I sure do scroll through my Twitter feed all the dang time. I wonder how much I’ll keep looking at Twitter after January 20th. This is probably going to help a bunch…

It sounds like it’s already making Twitter a better place. 😀🌄🐼🚂☕️🎄🥪❤️

Have you tried The Fiamma?!

After the Arsenal’s FA Cup match this afternoon, we headed over to get some pizza at Taft’s Brewpourium…

Taft’s had Hazelnut Latte, their coffee stout made with Cincinnati’s own Deeper Roots coffee, on draft…

We ordered The Fiamma again…

And we tried Taft’s cheesy bread…

We also tried Main Squeeze Vol. One. with pink guava and lactose…

And we got their Hazelnut Latte sticky bread to go…

Everything was just as delicious as always. We used part of the gift card my parent’s gave us for Christmas. We put $30 on our gift card this time. And we’ll get to use it two more times! Thanks, mom & dad!

On our way out to the car, we saw a train. I could probably watch the trains go by all day. I love the graffiti on the train cars…

Tonight, I logged my 80,000th check-in on my Swarm…

I still really like my check-ins on Swarm!

And we kept watching Manhunt: Unabomber on Netflix. Any day we get to go to Taft’s Brewpourium is a pretty good day. We like that place a lot. 😀🌄🍕🍺🚂⭐️❤️

Cheers to the weekend!

Good morning from Northside…

It was so grey and overcast today. It looked more like a Monday instead of a Friday…

Genifer made chicken marinated in Trader Joe’s Island Soyaki with pinto beans and rice for lunch today…

It was a really delicious lunch!

We finally made it through our work week after our long holiday break.

And it was still overcast this evening…

Good evening from Northside…

We had some drinks this evening. We tried a couple of the Urban Artifact beers Shannon gave us for Christmas. First, we tried the Epicurean Reindeer Pickle. It was described on Untappd as A Christmas dill pickle gose with peanuts and a peanut butter and pickle sandwich. Sounds pretty interesting.

It was really good. And exactly as described… a peanut butter and pickle sandwich.

And we tried their Xmas Pickle. It was described as a Holiday Xmas Pickle Miracle…

And it was really good as well. Very pickle! Thanks, Shannon! We can’t wait to try the other beers you gave us.

We also these little sour shots that we picked up a gas station in West Chester. They’d been in our refrigerator for a while now…

The grape was the best flavor. It was actually pretty tasty.

And it finally happened…

Finally. And all it took was trying to incite an unruly mob to rush the Capital and try to overthrow our democratic republic. Hopefully, the world will be a little bit better place for a while. 😀🌄☁️🐔🍺💻🚫❤️

Well played December 37th.

Good morning from Northside…

The scene at the Capitol today was just disgusting…

Ugh. January 20th can’t come soon enough. I’m ready for all this mess to be over and for the racists and white supremacists to crawl back under their rocks. This isn’t how America should be.

For dinner tonight, we had Trader Joe’s Mandarin Orange Chicken…

Ohmigosh. The Mandarin Orange Chicken is so good. And we had delicious pot sticker dumplings too…

For dessert, we had these giant Carol’s Cookies that JJVE sent us as part of our terrific Christmas present…

And they were as delicious as they were huge! Thanks again, JJVE!

Just up the road?!

It was another rainy, grey, overcast morning in Northside…

Good morning from Northside…

We ordered Penn Station for lunch today online…

And we ran up Hamilton Avenue into College Hill to pick it up…

Ohmigosh. It smelled so good on the way home. Genifer ordered her favorite chicken teriyaki…

And my favorite is the cheesesteak…

Penn Station is so good. And they have the best fries. When we lived downtown, there was a Penn Station just around the corner from us. We’d get it quite a bit. It was always delicious. Since we moved to Northside, the closest one to us is over on the campus of University of Cincinnati. But getting to it is a pain and the parking is next to impossible. We had no idea this other Penn Station was so close. Now we know this one is literally just up the road from us, we can start getting Penn Station more often again.

And good evening from Northside…

Tonight, we finished season three of Marcella on Netflix. And tomorrow, we have to find another movie or series to start watching. Finding a new series that we can get into is always the most difficult part. 😀🌄🥪🍟📺❤️

And we’re back at it.

We’re back at it, working from home after having a long twelve day holiday break. And of course, it would be a grey and overcast, rainy Monday morning. I mean, why wouldn’t it be?

And good evening from Northside…

We had another one of the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meals. This one had a really long name too. This was one Baked Chicken Parmesan with garlic herb butternut squash and Brussels sprouts…

It was another really good meal. The chicken was delicious and the veggies were really good as well. This is another meal that would have gone really well with garlic bread. But somehow, we were all fresh out. Still, we like the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meal kits a lot.

I was kinda hoping that today would be gradual easing back into work. Nope. That wasn’t the case at all. I got tossed in the middle of two turn and burn projects. The second involved me creating eight of these three-quarter view renders of designs I created well before holiday break…

I finally got them all done around 11:30pm. Nothing like a 16 hour day on your first day back after the holiday break. So much for a slow and easy first day back to work.

Deep dish Sunday.

Today was our last day of the our long holiday break…

And it was another grey and rainy day.

Good morning from Northside…

This morning we ran over to the grocery store to get stuff for the upcoming week…

According to the balloons at Kroger, I guess the next major holiday is the Superb Owl…

We made BLTs for lunch with turkey bacon. I really like turkey bacon a lot. I made my BLTs on little Hawaiian rolls with two slices of cheese. They were delicious…

We watched football until it was time to take the dogs on their walk.

And then it was good evening from Northside…

For dinner tonight, we enjoyed out second Lou Malnati’s deep dish pizza that JJVE sent us for Christmas. The deep dish cheese pizza was really good and we were really excited to try the pepperoni one…

It looked and smelled so good…

It was delicious! Thanks so much for the delicious pizzas, JJVE! We really enjoyed them.

For dessert, Genifer made gooey deep dish cookies with chocolate chips and butterscotch chips. And we paired the cookies with little ice cream party cups…

They were delicious as well. Genifer always finds the best recipes to make.

This evening we finished the second season of Marcella on Netflix. It’s a good show.

We had a wonderful long holiday break. NO matter how long it is, it never feels long enough. I think I always have delusions of grandeur that I’m going to get more done or get more accomplished. This time I didn’t really accomplish a whole lot. But at least, we got to hang out and spend lots of time together and watch a bunch of movies and have a great holiday. And it was very relaxing. 😀🌄☁️🎈🥪🍕🍪📺
