Back on Monday, Cincinnati Metro launched two “Retro Metro” buses that will be circulating throughout the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority’s bus system to celebrate four decades of Metro service. The buses sport throwback Metro branding from 1986 and a throwback cheap fare to match, just 65 cents!
That reminds me, if you ever get the opportunity to watch Let’s Play Two, it’s terrific…
Letโs Play Two is a documentary that chronicles Pearl Jamโs legendary performance at Wrigley Field during the Chicago Cubs historic 2016 season. With Chicago being a hometown to Eddie Vedder, Pearl Jam has forged a relationship with the city, the Chicago Cubs and Wrigley Field that is unparalleled in the world of sports and music.
It’s just an incredible film that made me fall in love with Pearl Jam all over again. And it does an amazing job of telling the story of the years of heartbreak to the elation of Cubs fans and mystique of Wrigley Field and how it all intertwines with Pearl Jam playing Wrigley Field during Cubs magical run to their World Series championship. That’s a wicked long run-on sentence but it’s just a great documentary that I ended up buying and watch probably once a week.
And while we’re talking about baseball during the non-baseball season, peep this…
It’s all the Cincinnati Reds Big Red Machine team shown through baseball cards framed on a baseball diamond organized by player position. I’ve never really seen anything like this and I just thought it was also really pretty neat.
After thefootball game, we stopped at Taft’s Brewpouriumagain. But this time instead of one of their delicious New Haven pizzas, I tried one of the Brewpourium’s Chicken Pesto sandwiches…
It was a really good sammich. Genifer had one of their terrific salads. And we shared some loaded tots…
This afternoon, we hopped over to St. Bernard to watch our nephew, Liam play in the GCYL Division I Reserve Football League semi-final at Roger Bacon’s Bron Bacevich Memorial Stadium…
Liam’s St. Antoninus team won 28-6! And now they’re moving on to play for the Division I Reserve championship next weekend!
It’s like any other Advent calendars used to countdown the days ofย Adventย in eager anticipation of Christmas. Except with this calendar, there’s a different beer behind every door. We can’t wait to see what beers are waiting for us every day as we inch closer to Christmas…
We’re going to post the photos from our HG 2018 Beervent calendar every day until Christmas in this photo album on our Flickr. Cheers! ๐๐บ๐๏ธ๐โค๏ธ
