We tried to move our burger night.

Good morning from Northside…

Our hanging plant is our backyard is getting lots of new flowers…

After work, we walked down to Gulow Street. We wanted to switch our Burger Tuesdays to Burger Wednesdays. But when got to Gulow Street, we learned that they are closed on Wednesdays…

Who knew? We never even thought about double checking to make sure that they were open on Wednesdays. Oh well, lesson learned…

So we waked over to Chameleon to get slices instead…

We wanted to start with their spicy cheese bites with marinara sauce. But the bites had been replaced with huge spicy cheese sticks…

Spicy cheesy goodness! And our slices showed up…

Chameleon’s slices are amazing as well. But it’s weird eating pizza when you were really ready for a cheeseburger. But with that said, I also ordered one of Chameleon’s deep dish pepperoni pizzas to go for lunch tomorrow.

Maybe we’ll just move our burger night to Friday. 😀🌄🌸🍕❤️

Today was a hot one.

Good morning form Northside…

It was a hot one today…

Our first HelloFresh meal of the week was Jalapeno Business Bacon Mac & Cheese with with crispy breading topping…

Holy geez. Every single one of these meals is delicious. I would definitely eat this one at least once a week. It was so good.

And good evening from Northside…

We were watching more of the Olympics tonight. We couldn’t locate the remote after the coverage concluded. And while we were looking for it, we were subjected to the local news…

Apparently, it’s going to be hot on Thursday as well. But oppressive? Really? There wasn’t another word they could have used? We were reminded again that there’s a reason we don’t watch any of the local news broadcasts.

And I recently tallied my 81,000th check-in on my Swarm…

It was good Monday. 😀🌄🌡️🍽️📺❤️

Pineapple IS a pizza topping.

Early this morning, we got up and ran over to the grocery…

Kroger had both pandas and trains today in the international aisle…

And Kroger always has the best balloons.

Afterward, we stopped at Mad Llama for some java whips…

When we got home, we took the dogs on their walk…

Good morning from Northside…

Later this afternoon, we went over to Taft’s Brewpourium for lunch…

Taft’s house salad is terrific…

Today, Taft’s had a special Hawaiian pizza…

Anyone who says pineapple isn’t a pizza topping clearly hasn’t had a Hawaiian pizza because they are delicious. We finished all of it while we watched more Olympics…

We used some more of our Taft’s gift card. And we still have a little bit of our gift card left. It’s been the gift that keeps on giving. We love Taft’s.

Saturdays are the best.

Good morning from Northside…

For lunch, we had our last HelloFresh meal of the week. This one was Sesame Soy Pork Bowls with sriracha mayo, cilantro and crispy onions…

These meals are delicious. This was one was no exception. But it was a little on the spicy side. It was the first one that we had to take breaks from eating because it was so spicy. Still, it was delicious.

Good evening from Northside…

We walked back down to Gulow Street for some noodles…

Genifer order some Sesame Noodles…

And I ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese with garlic bread…

And I love garlic bread. Ohmigosh. We love Gulow Street so much. Everything is so good. We’re so happy they decided to become part of our Northside.

And later, we watched the Olympics in our backyard…

I forgot to take a photo of our projector set-up this evening. I think our set-up is pretty cool. I love the weekends when we can sit out on our patio and enjoy our backyard. And Saturdays are the best. 😀🌄🐾🍜📺🏆❤️

The Tokyo Olympics are underway!

Tonight, we watched the Tokyo Olympics Open Ceremonies. I thought they were very poignant yet exceptionally beautiful. For me, he most spectacular part was the amazing drone display…

Such pageantry. We’re really excited for the Olympics. With still working from home because the pandemic, it’s a quite opportunity to get to really deep dive into the Tokyo games and have them on in the background all day. 😀🌄🐾🏆❤️

Also, it’s hard to believe there isn’t an emoji for the Olympic rings.

Lunch from Morsel & Nosh.

Good morning from Northside…

This afternoon we walked over to Morsel & Nosh for lunch…

Genifer ordered the tuna melt…

And I ordered The Violet. It was delicious house-made chicken salad with lettuce on a soft and flaky croissant..

And I added a slice of American cheese. Whenever possible, I always add a slice of cheese. Cheese makes the best stuff even better. They were terrific sammiches. We can’t wait to go back to Morsel & Nosh for lunch again very soon.

Our HelloFresh meal tonight was Sheet Pan Turkey-Meatball Flatbreads with mozzarella, bellpepper and onions…

Their flatbreads are some of my favorite meals.

This evening we put this little pet memorial for Svensk under our tree in our side yard next to our pet memorial for Milan…

I miss the kitty so much. I think about her every day. 😀🌄🥪🥐🍽️🐱👼❤️

Our hanging plants is doing very well in our backyard…

Our HelloFresh dinner tonight was One-Pan Rajas Quesadillas with salsa fresca, southwest crema and guacamole…

The quesadillas were delicious. I can’t believe just how good all of these HelloFresh meals have been so far. There really hasn’t been a bad one.

And we made oven S’mores tonight for dessert…

And the marshmallows were delicious. 😀🌄🍽️❤️

What an amazing weekend.

This morning JJVE continued on their cross-country adventure…

We had such an amazing weekend. It was so much fun. And now I think we could use a weekend to recover from our weekend. We crammed a bunch of activities into a very small amount of time. And it was the best weekend.

#JJVECincy2021 Sunday.

Our morning started off with knocking around the soccer ball in our backyard…

And we took the dogs on their morning walk…

Violette and Edgerton took turns walking Captain Oskey…

Good morning from Northside…

We walked to Sidewinder to get breakfast and coffees…

And we walked Up Hamilton Avenue to eat our breakfast at Jergen’s Park..

And we got to play at another playground…

After playing in the park, we walked home through Parker Woods…

After a bit, we headed down into Over-the-Rhine…

We parked at Washington Park and walked to Taft’s Ale House for lunch…

Lunch was delicious. We walked back down to Washington Park…

So the kids could play in the fountains…

And they got to play on the playgrounds…

Then we walked over to get rolled ice cream…

The ice cream was delicious! Thanks Simply Rolled!

We had a really great time down in OtR…

On our way back to Northside, we drove by the new soccer stadium in the West End…

When we got home, we took the dogs around the block. Violette and Edgerton took turns walking Captain Oskey again…

Good eveinng from Northside…

Violette wanted to rake the stones in our backyard…

We fired up the grill and made some burgers and hot dogs…

When we were at Taft’s Ale House, Surf’s Up was coming on one of the TVs in the bar. The kids became enamored with the movie. So this evening, we watched it in our backyard…
