A nice start to the new year.

Welcome to the new year! Good morning from Northside…

Our new year got off to a very lazy start. We were so lazy. Today, we ended up watching the entire season of Manhunt: Deadly Games. We watched all ten episodes back to back to back. It was a really good show. We like the detective shows. We did take a little break about halfway through to get NYPD hoagies for lunch…

We ordered a family fry but they gave us cheese fries. And they gave us a regular fry instead of my hoagie. We called them and they sorted it out. NYPD hoagies are so good. We were so stuffed afterward. We watched our UC Bearcats lose a heartbreaker to Georgia in the Peach Bowl. They represented themselves very well on the big stage. All the while Mack hung out on his dog bed in our studio office…

And then we took the dogs around the block. The sky was very pretty tonight…

It was a very pretty evening. We had a great lazy day just watching our show.

Happy Merry Christmas Eve Eve.

Good morning from Northside…

This morning we ran out to get some Christmas Eve Eve Biggby coffee…

We ran around a little bit to do some last minute Christmas shopping…

We got some odds and ends stuff. And a bunch of new dog toys for Oscar & Mack. I also got Mack a new dog bed and Snoopy blanket to go in our studio office where he sleeps a lot. I snuck his new bed upstairs while he was outside…

I showed him his new dog bed and he pretty much spent the rest of the day lounging on it…

While I was hanging out in the studio office with Mack, I decided to check out day 23 of my Lego City Advent Calendar…

I think he really likes his new dog bed…

Later, we had a NYPD Pizza hoagie party….

NYPD hoagies are so good. And their fries were even better than normal tonight.

We dragged Mack off his new dog bed to take the dogs around the block…

Good evening from Northside…

After he got his treats, Mack was right back upstairs, crashed out on his new dog bed…

This evening, we finished the second season of Mindhunter on Netflix. It was a really good series. We hope they get around to making a third season someday. But it probably won’t be anytime soon.

And Mack was still sleeping on his new dog bed…

We hope everyone had a Happy Merry Christmas Eve Eve! 😀🌄🛍️🐾🥪🍟❤️

Oh. I also thought these drawings from @crazyheadcomics & @wearyourvoice were really beautiful…

It just reaffirms how blessed we are and how good we have it this Christmas Eve Eve.

A Monday NYPD Pizza party?!

Why are Mondays always so dreary? It seems like almost every Monday is so grey and overcast. And this Monday was no exception…

Time for day 14 of my Lego City Advent Calendar…

It was another super busy Monday with work. But we made it through yet another Monday.

Good evening from overcast Northside…

And we had the super rare Monday night NYPD Pizza party…

We got an X-Large double pepperoni with extra cheese…

And we ordered some cheesy garlic bread…

NYPD Pizza parties are so good. And they never happen on Mondays.

And then we went upstairs to start season two of Black Spot…

And we made it through another dreary Monday. 😀🌄☁️🍕📺❤️

A Wednesday NYPD Pizza party!

There were more altocumulcus clouds hovering over Northside this morning…

Good morning from Northside…

And it was time for day nine of my Lego City Advent Calendar…

The sun actually came out today…

And then we had the ultra rare Wednesday NYPD Pizza party…

We ordered a large Station House supremium™ pizza…

And Nightsticks with extra cheese…

NYPD Pizza parties are so good. Especially on Wednesdays. They never happen on Wednesdays. And after we were done eating all our pizza, we headed upstairs…

We watched Michigan thump Toledo and Xavier thump Oklahoma. Both teams won by exactly 20 points. 😀🌄☁️🍕🐾📺🏀❤️

NYPD + MNUFC.

Good morning from Northside…

I’ve been having hot chocolate almost every morning. Most of the time, it’s in one of our #TeamFiona mugs…

Once I had my cocoa, it was time for day three of my Lego City Advent Calendar…

The Lego City Advent Calendar has been pretty cool so far.

Good evening from Northside…

And tonight, we had an NYPD Pizza party!

It’s been a minute since we’ve had an NYPD Pizza party…

We ordered cheese garlic bread but they gave us an order of Nightsticks instead and they were really good…

And then we had to get upstairs…

Because tonight was the second round of the MLS Cup Playoffs. My Minnesota United was playing away to Sporting Kansas City, the top-seed in the Western Conference…

United scored three goals in twelve minutes, and knocked Sporting out of the MLS Cup playoffs of the MLS Cup Playoffs…

Minnesota United will play Seattle Sounders on Monday in the Western Conference finals…

What a match! It was an amazing end to a terrific day. But any day that includes an NYPD Pizza party and a MNUFC Loons win is a really good day on our blog. 😀🌄☕️🍕⚽️🏆❤️

We did a lot today.

Oscar was getting his hair cut today, so we were up pretty early on a Saturday morning before his grooming appointment…

Good morning from Northside…

Oscar’s appointment was set for 8am but we were running a bit early so we stopped at Biggby for coffees…

And then it was back over to Petsmart in Oakley…

Oscar had gotten so fuzzy…

We kind of wanted to get him a haircut before we headed out to the coast but we just ran out of time. Sorry Oscar, today’s the day…

While we were sitting in the car, enjoying our Biggby and waiting for Petsmart to open, the sun started to rise above the horizon…

After we dropped off Oscar, we ran over to Lowe’s…

After we got some more Christmas lights, a new wreath and some odds and ends stuff, we headed over to Home goods in Rookwood…

We got the boys a bunch of new dog beds and some other stuff. And then we went next door to walk through T.J.Maxx…

While we were in T.J.Maxx, we got the call from Petsmart that Oscar was ready to be picked up…

And Oscar looked so handsome!

Western Michigan-Northern Illinois and Michigan-Penn State were both on at the same time. We put Western on the TV and Michigan on the tablet. I thought the Western game was going to be the one more worth watching…

Western beat Northern Illinois and Michigan lost. Again. After the games, I went out placed some holiday lights in our front yard along our bricks…

And then we went to pick up some hoagies from NYPD…

Deliciousness. NYPD’s hoagies are out of this world.

Later, we took the dogs on their evening walk and the moon was huge…

Good evening in Northside…

As it started to get dark, we kept going outside to check out our lights…

And we finished putting the lights on our tree…

Genifer did amazing job with the holiday decorations inside the house…

We had a really good Saturday. We got a lot of stuff done today.

Later, we watched some Netflix and chose Hometown Holiday, which was a very bad, poor man’s version of a Hallmark Christmas movie and Falling Inn Love, which was actually really cute.

Long weekends are the best. 😀🌄🐾🛍️💡🎄❤️

Hello October.

It’s pretty crazy to me that today is the first day of October…

For still being in the middle of a global pandemic, stuck at home and not really being able to do much of anything, this year certainly has flown right by. I would like my 2020 back, please. I think we should all get to take a mulligan for this year and get to try 2020 over again next year.

They weren’t working on our street this morning. So we got to go back up to the top of the hill at the end of our street and say…

Good morning from Northside!

This is what the street looked like in front of our house this morning…

But a little while later, they filled it in with asphalt…

And good evening from Northside…

We ordered hoagie sammiches from NYPD…

And after we stuffed our faces full of delicious NYPD hoagie sammiches and french fries, we played ball in our backyard and we watched the beautiful sunset clouds….

It’s just really nuts that it’s already October. 😀🌄🥪🍟❤️

A low-key Saturday.

Good morning from Northside…

We’re always up and moving pretty early. We don’t really sleep our days away, even on the weekends.. We ran over to the grocery early this morning. We like to get in and out before it gets too busy…

Kroger had both the panda AND train today in the international aisle…

Afterward, we stopped for our Mad Llama coffee…

And later, we had an NYPD Pizza party with french fries…

Oh hoser, eh?

The sun looked pretty this morning as it rose over Northside…

It kinda looked like something out of Star Wars or a sci-fi film…

The hazy sun was probably still because of the wildfires out west.

Good morning from Northside…

It was too dark to get a decent photo of it last night. But we took one of our old fence posts, and turned it into a hanger for our garden hose…

I saw something similar on Pinterest and thought it would be a neat idea because I could never really figure out what to do with our hose.

The skies were still pretty hazy this evening…

And we had an NYPD calzone party tonight. We’ve been all about the NYPD lately…

Genifer had just pepperoni in her calzone. I had sausage, ham and green olives in mine. And we shared a small french fry…

YUM! NYPD is so good.

Later this evening, we finished watching the second season of Cobra Kai. It was really good. We can’t wait for the next season to see what happens. It’s always tough to figure out what to watch next after you finish a season of something. 😀🏡❤️
