The morning got off to a really pretty start…

Oscar was sitting like a sir…

In the mail today, I got a free limited edition Dribble sticker pack from Sticker Mule…

I love stickers. And these are some really neat ones.

We like the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meals so much that Genifer tried HelloFresh. HelloFresh delivers step-by-step recipes and fresh, pre-portioned ingredients right to your door. And our first meal kit also arrived today….

Here are the three meals we chose to try this week…

The first meal we tried was Hey, Honey! Salmon with potato wedges and zesty green beans…

Ohmigosh! It was such a delicious meal and it was so much food. I think we’re going to really like HelloFresh a lot! We can’t wait to try the other two meals.

In my Timehop today were these two photos of Genifer and Oscar hanging out in bed back when Genifer had to still wear glasses…

We had another great Tuesday. 😀🌄🏡🐾🍽️❤️

There’s leftover ice cream cake?!

Good morning from Northside…

Oscar came in to our studio office to hang out with me while I was working…

And we made it through another Monday…

Good evening from Northside…

We had pesto prosciutto tortellini and garlic bread for dinner…

And we had leftover ice cream cake for dessert…

We went outside after dinner, we saw that this big tree limb had fallen into our yard…

And these photos of Milan showed up in my Timehop today…

We was such a handsome guy.

BLTs & more work on our yard.

It was kind of hazy this morning…

Good morning from Northside…

We ran over to Lowe’s this morning…

We stopped for coffee…

We added some landscape edging and decorative rock border to our front yard…

When we were finishing up in our front yard, a guy jogging by stopped to ask where we got our bricks. After chatting for a minute and as he started to walk away, he said, “Yeah, I gotta work on my front yard and try to get it up to this level.” It was such a nice thing to say. And it made us feel so proud of our front yard…

Hopefully, we van get our backyard up to the level of our front yard. We pulled all the grass and weeds out of the front third of our backyard…

I tried to dig out an old concrete post anchor next to our backyard path…

And that was clearly a mistake. I put it back in it’s hole and filled the hole back in…

Our next step will be adding rocks…

We went upstairs to take some showers. Hi Oscar…

We had BLTs for dinner….

BLTs with wedge fries…

Good evening from Northside…

Our front yard looks so nice…

We sat out on our back patio for a bit…

We watched the Louisville City thump Memphis 3-0 and listened to some music…

We had a really good Saturday. 😀🌄🏡🐾🥪❤️

Friday night thunderstorm.

There were a bunch of ants on the sidewalk…

Good morning from Northside…

Hi Oscar…

And, Hi Mack…

Mack must have been trying to hide his new hedgehog toy from Oscar by putting it in the bedroom trash can…

Good evening from Northside…

We ordered an elevated dog cot for our back patio…

Oscar wasn’t real sure about it at first…

But I think he likes it now…

It was a very pretty evening…

But while we were sitting on our back patio this evening, out of nowhere we could hear lots of thunder but we couldn’t see any lightning or even dark storm clouds…

It was exact opposite of when we were out on the deck in the Outer Banks, and there was all sorts of the lightning but no thunder. Both were kinda odd. But we had a really good Friday.

Another rainy day.

Guess what? It was overcast and raining again this morning…

It’s like we live in the Pacific Northwest or something…

Oscar was getting so fuzzy…

He got a haircut today at Petsmart and now he looks so handsome…

We made it through our Wednesday and then it was time to walk the dogs again.

This is Chloe…

She lives down the street from us…

It looked like there was another storm rolling in…

It also looked like Mack was watching the soccer game…

Meanwhile, Oscar was just using the footrest of one of our dining room table benches as a pillow…

It doesn’t look like the most comfortable pillow. 😀🌄🌧️☔️🐾❤️

Dogs are pretty funny.

Mack and Oscar were drinking out of the same water bowl at the same time again…

I made a cheesy chicken nugget wrap for lunch…

It started sprinkle on us while we were on our evening walk…

Good evening from Northside…

At the bottom of the stairs, the sounds of the cicadas was it’s loudest…

When we got home, Oscar started looking for a very specific dog toy…

He kept pulling out toys and setting them in a pile while he dug for the one he really wanted…

Apparently, he was looking for one of the Nylabones…

And then he never really chewed on it. Dogs are pretty funny. 😀🌄🌧️☔️🐾❤️

Another Monday.

Dang. And it was ANOTHER overcast and rainy morning…

It was perfect weather for a Monday morning…

Good morning from Northside…

Did I mention it was sprinkling this morning?

Genifer went to the grocery this morning and brought home these…

Our sidewalk had lots of berries on it this morning…

And it was still overcast this evening…

An afternoon in OtR.

It was a beautiful Saturday morning…

There were a bunch of berries on our side yard sidewalk…

I think our sidewalk is going to be purple for a while…

Good morning from Northside…

We drove down into Over-the-Rhine early this afternoon. The June edition of The City Flea was taking place at Washington Park. We found a parking spot on Central parkway across the street from the new home of FC Cincinnnati, TQL Stadium in the historic West End of Cincinnati…

And there’s already a new bar just across the street from the stadium…

But more on that later. It really is a beautiful stadium…

We walked down to Washington Park to check out The City Flea…

And then we walked back to check out The Pitch Cincy…

Pretty neat place. I bet it is just wall-to-wall people on FC match days.

We drove back up into Northside to have a bourbon slushie at Second Place…

Good evening from Northside…

And then we just hung out on our back patio for the rest of the evening…

We had a pretty good Saturday. 😀🌄⚽️🛍️🍻💡❤️

The start of a long weekend.

Today was the start of a long, four-day holiday weekend…

Good morning from Northside…

We ran over to Lowe’s this morning…

We got Mad Llama coffee…

We also stopped at Home Goods…

And we got Potbelly for lunch…

Ohmigosh. Potbelly is so good…

I put my new little stool in our studio office…

We spread some more pea gravel on our side yard…

It started sprinkling on our walk…

Good evening from Northside…

And it really started raining just as soon as we got home…

Whenever it really rains, there’s always a waterfall cascading from the gutters and down off the side of the neighbors house…

Somehow the water always seems to drain pretty quickly. But it doesn’t really cause us any problems. I’ve just never seen a gutter waterfall like that.

Right now, Oscar’s favorite toy is his hedgehog…

He’ll hide it and then forget where it’s been hidden…

And then he gets so excited when he finds it again…

We dodged the raindrops and went out in the backyard for potty breaks…

We watched Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse on Amazon Video. It was pretty good. And we finished Jupiter’s Legacy on Netflix. For a super hero series, it was the slowest burning show I think I’ve ever seen. It was ten episodes of nothing but back story and character development. I bet the second season would have been pretty good if it hadn’t already been cancelled.

And that was our Friday. It was a pretty good one. 😀🌄❤️

There’s more than one water bowl.

Oscar and Mack always drink out of the same water bowl at the same time…

There’s another water bowl right next to Mack.

The cicadas are starting to be everywhere outside…

I forgot to take my little fisheye lens with us on our walk again this evening…

Good evening from Northside…

We had sausage with sweet potato and apple bake for dinner tonight…

And then it was upstairs for the evening…

And we watched the Grizzlies lose game two of their first round playoff series against the Utah Jazz. Bummer. But other than that, it was a pretty good Wednesday.
