Nice! You have a reward.

Good morning from Northside…

This afternoon we ordered pizza from Taft’s Brewpourium. And we had accumulated some rewards…

Omigosh! Look at our Taft’s Brewpourium pizza feast…

I’m pretty sure Taft’s is my favorite pizza is all of Cincinnati. It’s so good.

Oscar was telling us it’s time to go on our evening walk…

And when we were walking the dogs, we noticed this…

That’s pretty darn creepy.

Good evening from Northside…

We hung this guy out on our back porch…

This afternoon I had to knock out a few things for work while I listened to Arsenal lose 1-0 to Leicester, and then we watched the Bengals come up short against the Browns.

This evening, we watched the Dodgers win the World Series. It’s a bummer. It would have been so neat for Tampa Bay teams to win the Stanley Cup and the World Series. This season will always have asterisk next to it for me. The Dodgers were the best team that money could buy over the course of a pandemic-shortened 60-game season. Personally, I liked it much better when the Dodgers would spend all that money year after year and and then come up short. That was great. 😀🌄🍕🐾⚽️🏈⚾️❤️

A big sports Saturday.

Dang! It was another beautiful morning…

Good morning from Northside…

And we walked down the path by the school to look at the sunrise again…

We drove over to Oakley to go to the grocery. But first, we stopped to fuel up Genifer’s Audi. The sun was just coming up over the buildings…

And then it was on to the grocery…

Kroger was completely sold out of both the panda bear and the train…

So somebody does actually buy them. I wonder if they are any good? Someday, I’ll manage to sneak them into our cart.

Kroger did have a very nice assortment of great balloons today…

With it being so close to Halloween, I almost got this Monster POP!

And then we got our Saturday morning Mad Llama coffee…

Good evening from Northside…

Genifer made a slow-cooker pot roast for dinner tonight…

I made mine into an open-faced roast beef sammich…

And it was awesome! I’d been craving a sammich like this for a whlie now.

Mack kept bringing me his football. He must really be ready to kickoff another season of Michigan football as well…

Later this evening, all my teams kicked off at exactly the same time…

On the TV, I had with my Louisville City hosting Tampa Bay Rowdies the USL Eastern Conference finals. On the iPad, I had my Minnesota United versus our FC Cincinnati. And on the iPod, I had the opener of the Michigan football season as they played away to Minnesota.

LouCity lost 2-1. MNUFC stole one from FC|C 1-0 on a late scramble in the 90+2′, and Michigan whooped Minnesota 49-24. I guess two out of three isn’t bad. Louisville had a wonderful season that included a run of 13 games unbeaten, with eight straight wins that ended with tonight’s loss. 😀🌄❤️

UPDATE: USL made the determination that the season will conclude after Tampa Bay Rowdies and Phoenix Rising FC each progressed through the playoffs to win the Eastern Conference and Western Conference titles, respectively. USL announced that the 2020 USL Championship Final will not be played after multiple persons within the clubs tested positive for COVID-19. The final was scheduled for Sunday, November 1. Tampa Bay and Phoenix will explore the possibility of a 2021 Season Kickoff game between the two clubs prior to the start of the 2021 Championship season.

Wow. A season without a champion. 2020 just keeps getting better.

Another day of pretty skies.

It was another very pretty morning…

We walked to the end of the path atop the hill at the end of our street to watch the sunrise this morning…

Good morning from Northside…

As soon as I’m done working for the day, we’ve been trying to go in the backyard to play ball in our backyard while it’s still light outside. We collected all the tennis balls and put then in this bin. I didn’t realize that we’d accumulated so many tennis balls…

I like this bin because it has open slats across the bottom. Hopefully when it rains, the rain water will rinse some of the dirt off the balls and then drain away.

Bear does an amazing job of bringing his tennis ball back to you. He wants to play with only one ball the entire time we’re in the backyard. If you try to throw him a different ball, he’ll wait for the ball he’s been playing with. Mack is just the opposite. Mack will chase a ball, leave it and then come running back so you can throw him a different tennis ball…

They really love their tennis balls. Oscar doesn’t really care about tennis balls.

They also love their evening walks…

And good evening from Northside…

We finished Ratched on Netflix. It was pretty good, a bit odd but pretty good.

But gosh. It was almost 80º today and the skies were just so pretty all day. I’d definitely take days like today everyday. 😀🌄🐾🎾❤️

A morning trip to Trade Joe’s.

Good morning from Northside…

We ventured out to Trader Joe’s this morning before work, and on the way across town the sunrise sky was so beautiful…

It’s been a minute since we’ve been to Trader Joe’s…

And Mad Llama is right around the corner from Trader Joe’s (kind of)…

When we got home, we finished up our work week before having Trader Joe’s delicious Mandarin Orange Chicken for dinner…

And then we all crashed out…

It was another long week. Thank goodness it’s Friday. 😀🌄☀️🥡🐔❤️

The front yard of the house at the end of the street is out of control…

Genifer made P.F. Chang’s Orange Chicken for dinner tonight…

And she made dumplings too…

For dessert, she bought home a three big of cookies from Taste of Belgium…

I thought the sugar cookie with sprinkles was the best one…

But maybe I just really like Sprinkles.

Mondays are always hard.

Good morning from Northside…

And good evening from Northside…

Not a cloud in the sky all day long. And then we just crashed out…

We just blew through both The Five and Safe. Both of the series were based on books by Harlan Coben and both were really outstanding. They had so many twists and turns. We never would have guessed the ending in either series. They were sooo good.

And that was another Monday in the books. 😀🌄🐾📺❤️

Burger King and some whaaaat?

Good morning from Northside…

We were so lazy today. We laid around all morning. Finally, we started to get hungry and ventured out of the house. On our way to get lunch, we stopped to get gas in Finneytown…

And there was this sticker on our pump…

And then it was onto the Home of the Whopper. We ordered a BK feast through the Burger King App…

Usually, Burger King is reserved only for road trips. But it just sounded really good today. And we ordered a bunch so we’d have snack for later.

I’m just going to leave these scores here without comment…

😳😬😲 What makes it even more nuts is when you combine today’s Liverpool and United results with last weekend’s thumping of City by Leicester…

It brings me great joy whenever United or Liverpool lose. And to have them both great thumped on the same day, just makes for a really great Sunday. Now I have a couple of matches to go back and watch to see just what the heck happened.

And we finished our Sunday with ball in our backyard until it got too dark…

We had a very nice, lazy and relaxing Sunday. 😀🌄🍔👑📺⚽️❤️

Hello October.

It’s pretty crazy to me that today is the first day of October…

For still being in the middle of a global pandemic, stuck at home and not really being able to do much of anything, this year certainly has flown right by. I would like my 2020 back, please. I think we should all get to take a mulligan for this year and get to try 2020 over again next year.

They weren’t working on our street this morning. So we got to go back up to the top of the hill at the end of our street and say…

Good morning from Northside!

This is what the street looked like in front of our house this morning…

But a little while later, they filled it in with asphalt…

And good evening from Northside…

We ordered hoagie sammiches from NYPD…

And after we stuffed our faces full of delicious NYPD hoagie sammiches and french fries, we played ball in our backyard and we watched the beautiful sunset clouds….

It’s just really nuts that it’s already October. 😀🌄🥪🍟❤️

Hello from Northside.

It ended up being another grey and overcast day today but just like yesterday, the clouds were so pretty. This morning, this evening, and later from our backyard…

Good evening from Northside…

And Genifer made this terrific cheesy turkey, sweet potato, and spinach skillet bake for dinner tonight…

It was so delicious. She always finds the best recipes to make. Other than that, it was just another Wednesday. I’m ready for this week to be over. And I really can’t wait until they’re finally done working on the water main on our street so we can go back up to the top of the hill at the end of our street in the mornings. 😀🌄☁️🌥️❤️
