Ohhh… Epic tacos!

There were still snow flurries this morning…

And it was still cold and grey…

Good morning from Northside…

We ventured out to try something new this afternoon, Agave & Rye in Rookwood…

We started with some chips and guacamole…

Genifer loves guacamole…

And it was really good at Agave & Rye. We also started with the elotte…

And we each had an epic taco. Genifer had The Buddha: teriyaki 5-spice tofu, sticky rice, baby corn, water chestnuts, cilantro, green onion, carrots, red bell pepper, Shiitake mushrooms, crispy wontons, sweet thai chili sauce…

I love ground beef tacos. And they’re kind of hard to find out. Agave & Rye had two on their menu. So this time I ordered The Cousin of Vinnie: seasoned ground beef, tomato-vodka sauce, mac n cheese, white cheddar, tobacco onions and queso cushion in between the two taco shells…

Next time, I’ll try the other ground beef taco. Their tacos were amazing and huge. And they had a bunch of interesting sounding tacos on their menu.

Everything we ordered was delicious…

Agave & Rye had a whole bunch of arcade game that would have been fun to play…

But we’re still in the middle of a pandemic and I didn’t want to touch anything…

Agave & Rye was incredible. Everything was delicious. Their tacos were huuuuge. And we left so stuffed. I think we just found our new favorite taco shop now that Django Western Taco has moved out of Northside.

When we got home, we took the dogs out around the block…

And it was still cold…

We ended up taking a nap. And later, we watched the NFL playoff games…

I was happy to see Tom Brady win. I was sad to see Drew Brees lose. And I thought the refs jobbed the Browns. How did they miss this helmet-to-helmet hit? Most likely, it cost the Browns a touchdown and they would end up losing by 5 points. Next weekend, I’ll be cheering for Brady and the Bills. Because nothing would be worse than a State Farm Superb Owl with Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes. I don’t really care for either of them very much.

But anyway, we had a really great day with some epic tacos! 😀🌄❄️🌮🐾🏈❤️

A cold & snowy Saturday.

It was a could and snowy morning in Northside…

Good morning from Northside…

We went over to the grocery this morning. It counts as our Saturday activity…

Both the panda and train were on the shelf today…

And the football balloons still dominated the balloons…

And then we got coffees from Mad Llama…

JAVA WHIPS!

After that we were pretty lazy…

We still had some flurries this evening…

You can see the snowflakes on Mack’s head…

We had a Kroger flatbread pizza for lunch with Caesar salad. It was really good. Somehow, I didn’t take a photo of it. I don’t remember what we had for dinner.

But we had tiramisu for dessert…

Michigan got thumped by Minnesota. And we watched Outside the Wire on Netflix. It was pretty good. We had another good pandemic Saturday. 😀🌄🌨️❄️🏀📺❤️

It’s Skyline time!

This morning it was really overcast, dark and rainy. Good morning from Northside…

But by lunchtime, the sun was out…

We ran over to St. Bernard for lunch and we saw this funny looking truck…

We picked up some Skyline for lunch…

It’s Skyline time!

Skyline is so good. Genifer had a deluxe burrito. I had a 5-way and two cheese coneys while I finished up my work for the week. And then it was overcast again when we went on our evening week…

We shared our Cinnabon cheesecake we got with our lunch…

Then we headed upstairs for the night and we finished Collateral: Limited Series on Netflix. 😀🌄🧀🌭🍝📺❤️

Thursdays are for pizza!

Good morning from Northside…

Mack and Oscar hung out with my in our studio office for most of the day…

We listened to Arsenal draw with Crystal Palace this afternoon. And then we went out on our evening walk around the block…

Thursdays are for NYPD Pizza parties…

NYPD Pizza is so delicious. And so inexpensive. We love Thursday pizza nights. Genifer made little chocolate chip banana bread puddings for dessert…

They were really good. It was another delicious Thursday.

Tonight, we watched the first two episodes of Collateral: Limited Series on Netflix.

Hello from Northside.

The sun was so pretty this morning…

Mack keeps migrating a lot of the dog toys to our studio office…

And for some reason, most of the toys always accumulate here.

It was a very pretty evening too…

Genifer made pork chops with sriracha Brussels sprouts for dinner…

She always finds the best recipes to make. Tonight, we finished Lupin. We hope there are more episodes coming sometime soon. It was a pretty good show. And today was another pretty good day. 😀🌄🐾🍽️❤️

A 43-6 scoring run?!

It was another overcast morning…

Good morning from Northside…

But it turned out to be a pretty evening…

We had another one of the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meals. This was Italian Romano Pork Meatloaf with Parmesan broccoli and red peppers…

And add some extra dust cheese…

It was another really delicious meal. All the meatloaf dinners we’ve tried have been outstanding. This was yet another meal that would have gone really well with garlic bread. But I’ve been told that not every meal needs to have garlic bread with it. Still, we like the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meal kits a lot.

We watched Michigan run riot on Wisconsin. At one point in the second half, Michigan was up by 40 points courtesy of a stretch when the Wolverines outscored the Badgers 43-6…

And they’re only going to get better next season…

And five years ago, Michigan beat then #3 Maryland…

“Who’s got it better than us?” Hail! GO BLUE! 😀🌄🐾🍽️〽️🏀❤️

We found a new vet.

It’s another grey and overcast Monday…

Good morning from Northside…

Genifer had to go into her office today. And this morning our third-floor WyzeCam captured a fire truck on our street for a moment…

We’ve been looking for a new vet because we were getting tired of the one we had been going to up in College Hill. And Mack is still not great in the car. He’s getting better. But he’s still not great. Genifer found Dr. Mike’s Mobile Veterinary Service on the interwebs. And they came right to our house…

They were great! They looked over our guys. Checked out Mack’s ears, Oscar’s cough and knee. Everything was good. They gave us home remedies to try for Mack’s ears. And the allergy medicine the dogs take was a lot cheaper from Dr. Mike. I think we just found a new vet!

Good evening from Northside…

For dinner tonight, we had vegetable Tikka Marsala for dinner tonight…

It’s so good and tasty. We really like it a lot. And Genifer made deep dish cookies again for dessert with little ice cream party cups…

Tonight, we started watching Lupin on Netflix. And we made it through another Monday. 😀🌄🚒🐾🥣🍪🐻❤️

And this is totally us, especially when we’re working from home…

Another great Sunday.

The sky was very pretty this morning…

Good morning from Northside…

We had our normal weekend outing to the grocery…

The Valentine’s Day stuff is out in force…

Both the panda and the train were in the international aisle…

These balloons were very cheerful. I liked the little frog…

And Ice Bear was still trapped inside in the claw grab machine…

We stopped for Biggby coffee…

It was time to say goodbye to our Christmas tree again…

We made BLTs with seasoned curly fries for lunch…

Xavier beat Providence with a buzz-beater and Wichita State handled Cincinnati.

The sky was pretty this evening as well..

This evening we finished Manhunt: Unabomber. It was pretty good. Very interesting.

And twelve years ago today, I got started on Twitter…

I don’t really post a lot on Twitter, or really on any social media anymore. But I sure do scroll through my Twitter feed all the dang time. I wonder how much I’ll keep looking at Twitter after January 20th. This is probably going to help a bunch…

It sounds like it’s already making Twitter a better place. 😀🌄🐼🚂☕️🎄🥪❤️

Have you tried The Fiamma?!

After the Arsenal’s FA Cup match this afternoon, we headed over to get some pizza at Taft’s Brewpourium…

Taft’s had Hazelnut Latte, their coffee stout made with Cincinnati’s own Deeper Roots coffee, on draft…

We ordered The Fiamma again…

And we tried Taft’s cheesy bread…

We also tried Main Squeeze Vol. One. with pink guava and lactose…

And we got their Hazelnut Latte sticky bread to go…

Everything was just as delicious as always. We used part of the gift card my parent’s gave us for Christmas. We put $30 on our gift card this time. And we’ll get to use it two more times! Thanks, mom & dad!

On our way out to the car, we saw a train. I could probably watch the trains go by all day. I love the graffiti on the train cars…

Good evening from Northside…

Tonight, I logged my 80,000th check-in on my Swarm…

I still really like my check-ins on Swarm!

And we kept watching Manhunt: Unabomber on Netflix. Any day we get to go to Taft’s Brewpourium is a pretty good day. We like that place a lot. 😀🌄🍕🍺🚂⭐️❤️

Cheers to the weekend!

Good morning from Northside…

It was so grey and overcast today. It looked more like a Monday instead of a Friday…

Genifer made chicken marinated in Trader Joe’s Island Soyaki with pinto beans and rice for lunch today…

It was a really delicious lunch!

We finally made it through our work week after our long holiday break.

And it was still overcast this evening…

Good evening from Northside…

We had some drinks this evening. We tried a couple of the Urban Artifact beers Shannon gave us for Christmas. First, we tried the Epicurean Reindeer Pickle. It was described on Untappd as A Christmas dill pickle gose with peanuts and a peanut butter and pickle sandwich. Sounds pretty interesting.

It was really good. And exactly as described… a peanut butter and pickle sandwich.

And we tried their Xmas Pickle. It was described as a Holiday Xmas Pickle Miracle…

And it was really good as well. Very pickle! Thanks, Shannon! We can’t wait to try the other beers you gave us.

We also these little sour shots that we picked up a gas station in West Chester. They’d been in our refrigerator for a while now…

The grape was the best flavor. It was actually pretty tasty.

And it finally happened…

Finally. And all it took was trying to incite an unruly mob to rush the Capital and try to overthrow our democratic republic. Hopefully, the world will be a little bit better place for a while. 😀🌄☁️🐔🍺💻🚫❤️
