Burritos, berries and Ragnarok.

It was another grey and overcast morning…

Good morning from Northside…

We ordered Drunken Tacos through DoorDash for lunch…

We ordered the Loco Pollo Burrito with chicken, refried beans, lettuce, queso fresco and topped with queso blanco…

And we ordered the Bulgogi Burrito with marinated Korean beef, grilled onions, jalapeños and topped with spicy mayo…

And we ordered a couple of tacos…

The tacos were pretty good. But the burritos were just out of this world!

The sun made an appearance this afternoon after we were done eating…

Good evening from Northside…

And our side yard sidewalk was covered in berries again. This was after sweeping them all up earlier this morning…

This evening, we finished Ragnarok on Netflix. And now we’re going to have to find something else to watch.

The start of a long weekend.

Today was the start of a long, four-day holiday weekend…

Good morning from Northside…

We ran over to Lowe’s this morning…

We got Mad Llama coffee…

We also stopped at Home Goods…

And we got Potbelly for lunch…

Ohmigosh. Potbelly is so good…

I put my new little stool in our studio office…

We spread some more pea gravel on our side yard…

It started sprinkling on our walk…

Good evening from Northside…

And it really started raining just as soon as we got home…

Whenever it really rains, there’s always a waterfall cascading from the gutters and down off the side of the neighbors house…

Somehow the water always seems to drain pretty quickly. But it doesn’t really cause us any problems. I’ve just never seen a gutter waterfall like that.

Right now, Oscar’s favorite toy is his hedgehog…

He’ll hide it and then forget where it’s been hidden…

And then he gets so excited when he finds it again…

We dodged the raindrops and went out in the backyard for potty breaks…

We watched Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse on Amazon Video. It was pretty good. And we finished Jupiter’s Legacy on Netflix. For a super hero series, it was the slowest burning show I think I’ve ever seen. It was ten episodes of nothing but back story and character development. I bet the second season would have been pretty good if it hadn’t already been cancelled.

And that was our Friday. It was a pretty good one. 😀🌄❤️

It’s starting to look better.

Today got off to kind of an overcast start…

Good morning from Northside…

We ran back over to Lowe’s this morning…

And we stopped at Mad Llama for coffee and bagels…

And then we did some work in our yard. We finally finished staining our fence…

We planted these marigolds…

We hung our wind chimes…

We got a couple of plants for our hanging baskets…

We forgot to get more pea gravel for our side yard. But we got another planter…

Two more little planters…

And planted plants in them…

But we ran out of potting soil before we could get to our Yucca…

We planted more marigolds…

We moved our little ground coverings from the side yard to the front yard…

Hopefully, they do better over here…

And we got this little mini rose bush…

Next, we’ll have to work on our grass and try to figure out what to do with the path in the backyard and there has been talk of a couple of rock rivers. But it’s starting to look a little better in our backyard.

Good evening from Northside…

We sat on our patio and watched FC Cincinnati lose the home opener in their beautiful new stadium…

We ate frozen oven pizzas…

And called it a Sunday…

We had another really good day. 😀🌄🏡🌻⚽️❤️

Soccer Saturday with some yardwork.

Good morning from Northside…

We ran over to Lowe’s to get some stuff for our backyard…

We listened to the FA Cup final while we almost finished staining our fence…

But we ran out of stain. Again. And we put some little pea gravel down on the other side of the path in our side yard…

We walked to Tickle Pickle to pick up an early dinner…

I’m not certain but I think Tickle Pickle might have got a big new sign…

But they have fries now!

BAM!

And the fries were delicious…

Good evening from Northside…

Tomorrow, we’ll go get some more stain for our fence and some flowers for our side yard…

Later, we watched the ladies of Racing Louisville play to nil-nil draw…

And we watched Minnesota United snatch a 1-0 win in the 95th minute…

It was a really good Saturday. 😀🌄🖌️🍔🍟⚽️❤️

This morning we walked down to Blue Jay for Friday morning breakfast…

On the way home, we stopped and got Sidewinder coffees and finished out the rest of our work day…

Happy 513 Day!

Today is May 13th, also known as 5-1-3 Day…

It’s a day to celebrate all the things from area code 513 and Cincinnati…

Good morning from Northside…

They’ve been working on disassembling a tree just off Pullan Street. They’ve been working on it since we got home from our trip but we weren’t sure which tree they were working on. Today, it became pretty clear…

They’ve also been resurfacing Pullan…

I wish they would work on the rest of the streets in Northside next. It was another really gorgeous day…

Good evening from Northside…

We talked about getting Skyline for dinner tonight in honor of 513 day. Because what’s more 513 than Skyline chili? But we decided to get hoagies from NYPD instead…

And then we played in our backyard for a bit…

And then we crashed out for the night…

We had a pretty good 513 day. Hopefully next year, things will keep more normal and we can do 513 day even better. 😀🌄🌳🚧🥪🍟❤️

Yardwork and a full moon.

We put down ten bags of pea gravel in our side yard…

And we completed the first section of our retaining wall along our fence…

It was so nice today. We sat outside and drink one of our ciders from Gatlinburg…

And there was a full moon tonight…

A snowy Thursday.

We got more snow overnight…

And a snowy good morning from Northside…

The roads were clearer this evening…

Good evening from Northside…

It was very snowy in our little side yard when we were putting the trash out…

And tonight, Michigan made it two for two after their COVID-19 pause with a solid win over Rutgers…

Michigan remains the only Big Ten basketball team to never lose to Rutgers. And the Michigan athletic program has the best-combined football/basketball record against Rutgers since the Scarlet Knights joined the Big Ten. Go BLUE! 😀🌄🌨️❄️📺〽️🏀❤️

Another good Saturday.

We love our new little side yard…

And we love our backyard fence…

This afternoon we drove out to West Chester…

We had lunch at Dingle House…

They had a peanut butter milk stout from Left Hand that was just out of this world…

Genifer ordered Mike’s pastrami on sour dough…

I had a half-order of their fish and chips…

While we out in West Chester, we visited Geri for a bit, gathered Oscar and Bear to finally bring them back home with us and then we headed back to Northside…

And this evening, we watched Minnesota United draw with Houston and Louisville City thump Memphis…

It was another really good Saturday. 😀🌄🇮🇪📺⚽️❤️

Oktoberfest In Za House.

Good morning from Northside…

Mack usually hangs out with me in our office while I’m working but today he wandered off. And I found sleeping in my spot on our bed…

When were out on our walk this evening, we saw this yard sign…

Oktoberfest Zinzinnati is traditionally the nation’s largest Oktoberfest and the second largest in the world to the original Oktoberfest in Munich. And apparently even with COVID-19 this year, Oktoberfest Zinzinnati is still taking place around town at favorite Cincinnati eateries and pubs and In Za House at home…
