Happy Valentine’s Day!

Good morning from Northside…

We ran over to the grocery this morning…

I thought Ice Bear had been pulled out of the claw machine…

But he was just moved from the front corner to the back corner. poor guy…

They were still out of pandas and trains…

But there were still plenty of Valentine’s Day balloons…

Lotsa balloons…

Cincinnati was expecting a big winter storm starting later in the afternoon. And that made the check-out lines really long…

And we stopped for coffees…

Arsenal smacked around Leeds United, 4-2. And Michigan was finally back from their three week COVID pause and they had to play away to Wisconsin…

And BOOM! They didn’t miss a beat…

After the Michigan game, we went over to Taft’s for pizza…

We tried Taft’s newest beer, Hazy Cabana Juice…

It was really good. We got some loaded tots…

Very blurry tots. And we got a pepperoni, sausage and mushroom pizza…

Taft’s had a Valentine’s Day special with a heart-shaped pizza and cannoli. We didn’t get the special deal but they had extra cannoli and gave us a couple…

Good evening from Northside…

And then we hung out and had a few drinks and watched Mavs basketball…

It probably wasn’t the world’s most romantic Valentine’s Day but it was a really great Sunday. 😀🌄☁️🍕🏀❤️

Happy Saturday!

It’s Saturday! Happy Saturday!

Good morning from Northside…

We ran over to the grocery this morning…

And Ice Bear was still locked inside the claw grab machine…

And there was only one panda and the trains were all sold out…

We always liked 21st Amendment’s Hell or High Watermelon. But we’ve never seen Hell or High Mango before. We’ll have to give it a try sometime…

And we saw this M-43 NE IPA from Old Nation Brewing in Williamston, Michigan over on the other side of Lansing…

I’d never really heard of One Nation Brewing or Williamston before. There were still some football balloons before next weekend’s Superb Owl big game…

And there were some Valentine’s Day balloons…

Bunches and bunches of Valentine’s Day balloons…

We stopped at Biggby for coffee…

And we had a BOGO…

We’re saving our Christmas Biggby gift cards for when we don’t have a free one…

Mmmmm… Biggby…

Arsenal played a nil-nil draw with United. And Xavier resumed their season, picking up right where they left off with a 13 point win at Butler.

Good evening from Northside…

And later it started snowing…

It started snowing kind of a lot for us. We were watching the snow accumulate on our street from our third-floor WyzeCam…

We watched The White Tiger on Netflix and then started season one of Unit 42. The White Tiger was pretty good and Unit 42 is just pretty okay. And that was our Saturday It was a pretty happy Saturday. 😀🌄🎈☕️❄️📺❤️

We got a little snow.

This morning, we took the dogs all the way around the block…

It started snowing this afternoon…

Good evening from Northside…

We had another one of the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meals. This one was Chicken Thigh Shawarma Wild Rice Bowl with tzatziki sauce…

It was another really delicious meal. Chicken and rice bowls are terrific. And we love anything with tzatziki sauce. We like the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meal kits a lot.

A lot of my favorite basketball teams aren’t playing because of COVID-19. Just tonight, Wichita State, Michigan and Grizzlies all had games postponed…

Thank goodness they haven’t paused all the games and we could watch some other games tonight. 😀🌄☁️🌨️❄️🏀📺❤️

A sunny day in Northside.

It was a very bright and sunshiny morning…

And the sun was out all day today…

We had another one of the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meals. This was Swiss Chicken with honey mustard green beans and crispy onions…

It was another really delicious meal. The cheesy chicken was really terrific and the green beans were really good. I think crispy onions can make anything even more delicious. We like the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meal kits a lot.

While I was working this afternoon, I listened to Leicester beat Chelsea 2-0 to go top of the Premier League. And this evening, we watched Michigan bounce back from their first loss by thumping Maryland 87-63.

We had another good Tuesday. 😀🌄☀️🐔⚽️🏀❤️

A cold & snowy Saturday.

It was a could and snowy morning in Northside…

Good morning from Northside…

We went over to the grocery this morning. It counts as our Saturday activity…

Both the panda and train were on the shelf today…

And the football balloons still dominated the balloons…

And then we got coffees from Mad Llama…

JAVA WHIPS!

After that we were pretty lazy…

We still had some flurries this evening…

You can see the snowflakes on Mack’s head…

We had a Kroger flatbread pizza for lunch with Caesar salad. It was really good. Somehow, I didn’t take a photo of it. I don’t remember what we had for dinner.

But we had tiramisu for dessert…

Michigan got thumped by Minnesota. And we watched Outside the Wire on Netflix. It was pretty good. We had another good pandemic Saturday. 😀🌄🌨️❄️🏀📺❤️

A 43-6 scoring run?!

It was another overcast morning…

Good morning from Northside…

But it turned out to be a pretty evening…

Good evening from Northside…

We had another one of the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meals. This was Italian Romano Pork Meatloaf with Parmesan broccoli and red peppers…

And add some extra dust cheese…

It was another really delicious meal. All the meatloaf dinners we’ve tried have been outstanding. This was yet another meal that would have gone really well with garlic bread. But I’ve been told that not every meal needs to have garlic bread with it. Still, we like the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meal kits a lot.

We watched Michigan run riot on Wisconsin. At one point in the second half, Michigan was up by 40 points courtesy of a stretch when the Wolverines outscored the Badgers 43-6…

And they’re only going to get better next season…

And five years ago, Michigan beat then #3 Maryland…

“Who’s got it better than us?” Hail! GO BLUE! 😀🌄🐾🍽️〽️🏀❤️

Another great Sunday.

The sky was very pretty this morning…

Good morning from Northside…

We had our normal weekend outing to the grocery…

The Valentine’s Day stuff is out in force…

Both the panda and the train were in the international aisle…

These balloons were very cheerful. I liked the little frog…

And Ice Bear was still trapped inside in the claw grab machine…

We stopped for Biggby coffee…

It was time to say goodbye to our Christmas tree again…

We made BLTs with seasoned curly fries for lunch…

Xavier beat Providence with a buzz-beater and Wichita State handled Cincinnati.

The sky was pretty this evening as well..

Good evening from Northside…

This evening we finished Manhunt: Unabomber. It was pretty good. Very interesting.

And twelve years ago today, I got started on Twitter…

I don’t really post a lot on Twitter, or really on any social media anymore. But I sure do scroll through my Twitter feed all the dang time. I wonder how much I’ll keep looking at Twitter after January 20th. This is probably going to help a bunch…

It sounds like it’s already making Twitter a better place. 😀🌄🐼🚂☕️🎄🥪❤️

Two out of three isn’t bad.

Good morning from Northside…

This morning we ran over to Target to do some shopping…

How cute are these bears? I love a bin of adorable bears…

And there was this adorable yeti stocking…

Greetings from Antarctica…

I designed the eCommerce basic images for all the holiday Swiss Miss hot cocoa gift sets…

Speaking of Swiss Miss, how long has there been Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa with Lucky Charms Marshmallows? It’s the first time I’ve ever seen this sorcery…

And speaking of cocoa, I love hot chocolate. It’s become my go-to drink whenever we go out to get coffee.

When we got home, it was time for day thirteen of my Lego City Advent Calendar…

We had snacks for lunch today…

We watched Arsenal lose 1-0 to Burnley…

It was the first time since December 1959 that the Gunners have lost four consecutive matches at home. They are really not doing well this season. At the same time as the Arsenal match, Michigan was playing their Big Ten opener against Penn State and our Cowboys were playing in Cincinnati against the Bengals…

Both Michigan and Dallas won their games. I guess, two out of three isn’t so bad.

Later, I had one of my favorite snacks, Ritz crackers and peanut butter…

We finished season one of Black Spot. It’s a very odd show. Very good, very interesting, but very odd. We’ll start on season two tomorrow. 😀🌄🛍️📺⚽️🏀🏈❤️

A Wednesday NYPD Pizza party!

There were more altocumulcus clouds hovering over Northside this morning…

Good morning from Northside…

And it was time for day nine of my Lego City Advent Calendar…

The sun actually came out today…

And then we had the ultra rare Wednesday NYPD Pizza party…

We ordered a large Station House supremium™ pizza…

And Nightsticks with extra cheese…

NYPD Pizza parties are so good. Especially on Wednesdays. They never happen on Wednesdays. And after we were done eating all our pizza, we headed upstairs…

We watched Michigan thump Toledo and Xavier thump Oklahoma. Both teams won by exactly 20 points. 😀🌄☁️🍕🐾📺🏀❤️

A pretty low-key Sunday.

It was really chilly and frosty this morning…

Good morning from Northside…

We had a big breakfast this morning…

Eggo waffles with scrambled eggs and sausages! And it was terrific. We never have big breakfasts.

Hello, Oscar. He looks so handsome with his new haircut…

And we had Thanksgiving part three for a late lunch after Arsenal lost this afternoon…

And then it was just a lot of hanging out on our new sofa until we took the dogs on their evening walk around the block…

Good evening from Northside…

It was pretty sunny all day. But it started getting more and more overcast the closer we got to Monday…

Tonight, we watched both The Princess Switch and The Princess Switch: Switched Again on Netflix. The first one was pretty cute. The second one was still cute but a bit of a stretch. While we were watching our Netflix movies on the TV, I was also keeping tabs on Michigan as they survived overtime against Oakland. The same Oakland that Xavier destroyed by 52 on Wednesday.

We had a pretty low-key Sunday. But it was a really good one. Low-key Sundays are the best Sundays. 😀🌄🧇🐾🦃☁️❤️
