Do you remember Hank?

Hank was the little dog rescued by the Milwaukee Brewers when he wandered into their spring training facility before the start of the 2014 MLB season. He became an unofficial mascot of the Brewers. Seven years ago, it was announced that near the end of the season, the Brewers would have a BobbleHank night at Miller Park in Milwaukee. And as a result, we went to up to Milwaukee to get our BobbleHanks and had a really fun weekend.

It’s crazy to think that trip was seven years ago. 😀🌄☀️🗺️⚾️🐶❤️

The joke’s on us.

Today is April first and that means, it’s also April Fool’s Day…

But the joke was on us because it was snowing this morning…

Good morning from Northside…

We saw our first snail of the spring…

I moved the snail from the middle of the sidewall on the stairs to the edge of the sidewalk by some mulch over by what might someday be an orchard…

It was still snowing…

We had an NYPD Pizza party tonight…

Remember when Oscar used to hop up on the sofa in our office studio and look out the window?

A morning without power.

Good morning from Northside…

We lost power this morning after we got back from our walk. The power company said power was scheduled to return around 1pm. We ran out to get Skyline for a lunch a little bit before noon…

When we got home with our lunch, the power came back on. And it was Skyline time!

And then it was time to get to work.

Good evening from Northside…

There was really pretty light coming into the back of our house…

Today really made me really appreciate having electricity. 😀🌄⚡️🐾❤️

Yardwork and a full moon.

We put down ten bags of pea gravel in our side yard…

And we completed the first section of our retaining wall along our fence…

It was so nice today. We sat outside and drink one of our ciders from Gatlinburg…

And there was a full moon tonight…

Saturday, March 20th.

Today was the first day of Spring. And it felt like it…

We walked to Blue Jay for lunch…

We walked over to Boswell’s Alley to watch Michigan’s first round tournament game against Texas Southern. After the game, we stopped to have a few drinks at Northside Tavern. And on the way home, we picked up hoagies from NYPD. We had a really good Saturday. 😀🌄🌭🍻♥️

Sunday, March 7th.

The dogs found a little patch of sunlight in our front bedroom…

Michigan lost to Sparty to end their championship regular season. The Wolverines first game of the Big Ten Tournament will be on Friday at 11:30am.

Around 10pm, we were watching the NBA All-Star Game on TNT and our lost our power. Apparently, all of Northside lost power…

Genifer got a text from the power company that said a car hit something that knocked out power to the entire neighborhood. I woke up around 1am and thankfully, our power was back on. 😀🌄🐾🏀🔦❤️

Three years of Mack.

Three years ago today, Mack joined our family…

Fast forward to today, and I thinks he’s pretty comfortable with us. He even has his favorite spot where he loves to sleep. He’ll wander off to sleep in his spot. And if you ever can’t find him, he’s probably right here…

We love him and we’re really happy he’s part of our family. 😀🐾❤️

Monday, March 1st.

I’ve been really struggling with trying to come up with a creative, witty headline for our blog posts. Everyday is pretty much the same, and it’s getting really hard to come up with different headlines for basically the same day. I’m going to try something new. For the time being, I’m just going to try putting the date in place of a headline. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
